"The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and cosy, the problem was the hot tub."
We only booked this cottage because of the inclusion of a hot tub. My partner works in care and she was looking forward to spending plenty of time in the hot tub with the jets on to relieve the pain in her back and legs. We attempted to use the hot tub on the Sunday afternoon, the water was hot, only one or two of the of the jets were working, very disappointing, pretty much useless, there was one filter fitted the other was discarded on the grass besides the hot tub, there were a few valves not fitted and we found them in the cabin adjacent, the control panel was worn and some of the the buttons un-responsive. All in all the hot tub was in need of a very good clean and a lot of maintenance and repair, to be honest I think it would be more cost effective to replace. The cabin by the hot tub was also in need of a lot of maintenance and repair. I think you should remove the hot tub from your description of the accommodation until it is in a good state of operation as this is tantamount to false advertising, its not right to say there is a hot tub if it is not working.

"The Stable is lovely and cosy."
Massive bath as well as a shower. Yes you can see the trains go by but you can barely hear them even from outside. The conservatory was lovely to sit in when the weather wasn't great, before moving to the living room and lighting the log burner. Kitchen has everything you need. Perfect location for exploring Hadrian's Wall.

"I absolutely loved my stay at the stable."
It was really cosy, clean and in the most perfect location for walking through the rspb reserve, gelt woods, talkin tarn etc. However I was without WiFi’s until Tuesday and I had arrived on Friday. It was resolved in the end and the lady did try her best to fix it, I should found it frustrating as I expected to have access to wifi throughout the stay. I didn’t enjoy spending the amount of time I did messing on with box trying to get it working. in addition I felt a few more supplies were needed in the cottage, washing up tablets, tea, coffee, spare batteries for the tv as I had to make extra trips out as these ran out or weren’t available during my stay. But besides the WiFi, the location and other facilities were lovely.
Thank you for your feedback, we are glad to hear that you had a lovely time. If the instructions on the link box are followed for the WiFi there are no issues, we have clarified these instructions now so guests are aware. As this is a self catering cottage we do provide limited supplies for guests however there may not be enough for a weeks stay. Property Owner

"A lovely cottage with great view of sunset from the deck."
Great walks nearby and a very relaxing quiet location. There is a train track for the little local trains and we found it more interesting than distracting when the "very occasional" little train trundled past. Quite quaint actually.
The cottage and buildings are quite lovely and gardens well maintained.
Frankly we will go again as it is a perfect base to tour the area.
Highly recommend this little cottage.
Thank again for the hospitality

Lots of local information and advice on where to go and what to see. We were free to walk our dog around the farm - on his lead, of course - and call at the 'big house' if we needed anything at all. Mabel and John work hard on both the farm and making their guests feel welcome. We have come away feeling relaxed and chilled. Thank you Mabel and John.
