  • "Five Star Accommodation - John and Lisa provided a warm welcome in their beautiful converted chapel."

Everything was spotlessly clean with every facility necessary for a wonderful, spacious self catering holiday. The area is beautiful and there are lovely footpaths leading to Low Force and High Force within walking distance. The nearby town of Middleton in Teesdale has several cafes and tea shops plus a good Fish and Chip Shop and French Restaurant. We enjoyed visits to Raby Castle, Eggleston Gardens and Barnard Castle. Many thanks for helping us to 'Make Memories'. Harry & Norma Joanne, Esme and Jordan and Pippa (our four legged friend)

  • "Absolutely beautiful holiday let."

We had a lovely weeks holiday in this stunning historical building. There was nothing that was missing in fact the first place we have stayed in that you couldn’t think of anything you needed that was not there. John and Lisa have renovated the property perfectly to an amazing high standard. They were brilliant hosts and made us feel very welcome. Booked again already and looking forward to returning in November. All the locals were so friendly and lovely places to eat in the village. A beautiful place to relax, soak in the amazing scenery from the amazing views from this property.

Then there’s the views.......wow ! The hosts John and Lisa couldn’t be nicer , always there if needed for help or advice and great to have a chat with them during the day. The chapel is well situated for visiting places of local interest. There’s a co op just down the road in Middleton on tees which is reasonable and well stocked along with a good local butchers. Also lots of pubs selling good hearty food. We all enjoyed our stay very much and I would thoroughly recommend Biggin Chapel as a very special place to spend a holiday.
