  • "We had a great stay in the bothy, slept like logs in the peace and quiet."

You definitely need to state there is a large step up inside the cottage, although you dealt with the problem immediately and I managed (thankyou) I would not have booked for myself if I had spotted the step . Also just a thought maybe install a microwave for convenience. Otherwise a lovely peaceful stay and enjoyed visiting the various lakes. Thankyou for the food hamper.. sticky toffee pudding ....yummy.

Hi Rosemary, Thank you for your feedback; I’m so glad that you had a great stay at The Bothy and that you slept so well. I am sorry about the step, we do always reach out to guests by email and text ahead of their stays to ask if there are any special requirements to try and avoid situations such as this. I’m glad that we managed to get this resolved for you straight away so it didn’t impact your stay. Thank you for the note on the microwave as well, we’re now looking into adding this to the kitchen set-up! Thanks again, Tash Property Owner

  • "Lovely modern, cosy and comfortable holiday cottage - with a warm welcome from the owner - who was on hand to help with any queries."

Nothing was too much trouble. Well placed for exploring the Lake District. Well equipped.. but a couple of suggestions would be to add a microwave in the kitchen (for those looking for quick and easy meals on holiday) and an ironing board to go with the iron.

Thank you so much for your lovely words and I'm so glad you enjoyed your time at The Bothy! Great tip on the microwave; thank you and we'll be sure to add one into the kitchen shortly. There is an ironing board (hidden away) in the boiler cupboard but I've made a note to make this clearer in the welcome pack. Thank you for looking after the property during your stay and we'd be delighted to welcome you back to The Bothy again. Property Owner

  • "We had a really lovely stay at the Bothy."

Location was amazing, brilliant access to Windermere and the rest of the lakes. The cottage was so cosy and warm with underfloor heating and a log burner, also having the second bathroom was a nice surprise. Little touches thoughtfully provided such as coffee pods, shampoo, conditioner, etc. as well as a welcome basket really made the difference. Will definitely be returning and recommending far and wide.

Thank you so much for such a lovely review, Mollie and I'm so glad you enjoyed your time at The Bothy, we'd be delighted to welcome you back anytime! Property Owner
