  • "Had a 5 night stay in Birch Lodge, and wasn’t disappointed."

The lodge was fully equipped, and immaculate. The double bed was very comfortable. A large TV, with a good choice of channels, and a strong WiFi signal. We used the cooking facilities, but if you prefer takeaways, or eating out, there was a lot around the site. We could tell upon arrival that the owners care for this lodge, and it’s a credit to the them..It is beautifully maintained. One negative…sorry, there isn’t one…looking forward to rebooking when the opportunity arises, thanks again..

Thanks so much Phil for your very kind words and I will certainly look forward to hosting you in the future . Carolyn Property Owner

  • "Beautiful lodge."

Spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a great week.Homemade scones with jam and butter were a very nice surprise when we arrived. Lots of lovely little touches that made it feel very homely. Very comfortable beds with lovely quality bedding. Shower in the en suite was excellent. Lots of cleaning products was very useful. My only criticism would be that in the photos of the lodge it shows a washing machine, which would have been very useful, but there isn’t one there.

  • "The lodge was really good, plenty of space, hosted direction to the lodge on a large/busy site was really helpful, great location and nice quiet site."

The site included a gym, indoor swimming pool, restaurant and bar. The only let down was the really slow WiFi, almost pointless having Smart TVs.

Everything there for you. We asked for more towels and they were delivered immediately. Lovely location. The bed was so comfortabl. Pillows were so lovely, when I stripped the bed I tried to look at the make as I want them for home now

Thank you for your lovely feedback. It makes all the effort worth it when people take the time and effort to write a few kind words. Much appreciated. I’ll see if I can find the make of the bed and pillows. See you next time. Carolyn Property Owner

Absolutely lovely owner ! We were met and taken to the lodge by the owner with everything we needed to know explained perfectly. There was a very yummy home baked loaf of bread (still warm) and jam there to meet us which we absolutely loved. The lodge itself is beautifully laid out and very tastefully decorated, with everywhere being extremely clean and tidy. Bed linen and towels of very good quality. We found South Lakeland Leisure Village a lovely place and enjoyed their bar and restaurant on a couple of occasions (with our dog) Birch Lodge was an excellent base to enjoy the Lancashire coastline and also the Lake District and then to return to relax in the evenings. Thank you for having us to stay, we enjoyed it immensely.

Lodge is perfectly located for the Lancashire coast and the south, mid Lake District. Lodge is absolutely spotless and the owner Carolyn has tried to think of just about everything to make your stay comfortable and stress free. We had a few mornings of torrential rain but the dvds and games kept us busy until the weather cleared. Would recommend and stay again

The lodge was clean bright and airy and was like a home from home with everything we needed for our few days away. It's in a lovely quiet location and although the park is near the motorway we hardly noticed it. The front deck was southwest facing so it was nice to sit out at night. We would recommend this for a peaceful getaway and it's a great location for visiting Morecambe and the South Lakes area.

Carolyn met us to hand over the keys and show us to the Lodge. It was very clean and had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break. Lovely added touch of a homemade loaf and jam which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We really like the site too, not too busy, my son loved scootering around when we went out for walks with our dog and no need to book time slots for the pool which we prefer to be able to go as we choose. We were met by owner Carolyn with the keys at reception, and she showed us to the lodge, which is located on the far side of the site. Carolyn had kindly left us homemade bread, with jam & butter, and it was to die for. The lodge itself was spotless, beds were comfortable, and there was everything we could possibly need already provided. You can hear the noise of the traffic from the M6 (especially at night), however after the first night it didn't seem to bother us again. Facilities on the site were brilliant. The restaurant and bar was dog friendly, and the food there was lovely. The location of the site is ideal for lots of days out. We were sad to leave, and we will definitely book again in the future. Everything was first class. Really clean and really comfy. We was met by Carolyn and shown to the lodge. We had home made bread and jam waiting, to save you rushing to the shops after a long journey. Nice touch! Carolyn thought about everything from toiletries to little bits in the kitchen. The location was perfect for exploring the Lakes and the Dales, plus the local area. The site has a lake where you can use SUP's and kayaks. It was for us ideal. There are facilities onsite like a pub, restaurant and leisure club with pool and gym but we never used them. Yes you can hear a bit of road noise but that did not bother us, we were always able to sleep and enjoy the decking. Carolyn takes really pride in what she does which helped to make this holiday experience excellent. Thank you.
