Woodview is ideally situated with walks on your doorstep and easy access to other areas of the Lakes.

The property is very clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Thanks to Seth for a wonderful stay and for the bottle of fizz!

Our second visit to this property as our friend lives on the same road.

As a disabled traveller, it suits my needs perfectly as everything is on the same level and a lovely walk in shower. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a visit to Pooley Bridge

This was our second visit to Woodview.

It is a lovely bungalow in a nice quiet area of Pooley Bridge. It has good facilities but I was surprised that sugar and oil were not left as all other holiday lets we've stayed in had tea, coffee sugar and oil. My other suggestion would be to have fans available as it was extremely hot the week we stayed and nights were humid. It is nice to see more plants in the garden area. We watered whilst we were there. All in all a great place for a weeks holiday in the northern Lake District. We will definitely return.

This is the third time we have stayed at Woodview and we highly recommend it.

The house is always spotlessly clean on arrival and a few goodies to eat and drink. The location is excellent and quiet even with football on in the pubs down the road.Easy drive to Penrith and beyond.Lovely farm shop ten minutes away.Bookshop two minutes away for a coffee in the morning.All pub food and Grannies down the road is excellent.We will definitely be back next year and thank you Seth

Great place to stay all ameanatives within walking distance.

No need to use the car. Had a wonderful time very clean & comfortable.

We have stayed in many cottages in the Lakes over many years and this is by far the best.

Everything we needed was there all the appliances looked brand new. As for location couldn’t beat it 200 metres to the nearest pub(essential after a long walk) and the cottage came with off road parking also essential as the village did get very crowded at times. Would definitely book it again.

Woodview is an absolutely beautiful cottage in the heart of Pooley Bridge.

Spotlessly clean with everything you need, comfy beds and underfloor heating as well as a log burner. 10 minute walk to steamer across Ullswater to Glenridding. 5 minute walk to pubs. Cafes, restaurants. newsagents and post office. Just had my third visit and will definitely be back.

This is our second stay at Woodview.

It is a a beautifully decorated and well maintained property. The quality of the furnishings and fixtures are excellent with a lovely modern kitchen and bathroom. The lounge has a log burner in addition to central heating throughout. Outside there is a private parking space and seating areas both front and rear. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac but in the centre of Pooley Bridge where there are a couple of well stocked shops, three pubs and 2 very good restaurants. The Ullswater Steamer pier is a short stroll away and there are numerous walks from the door.

We had a wonderful stay at Woodview and wish we could have stayed longer.

The property was clean, warm, super cosy and ideally located in the village and an excellent base for exploring the Lakes. The owners were so welcoming and easily accessible and responsive. We would absolutely recommend to others.

We booked this last minute and the property was excellent , 1 minute walk to village to restaurants and pubs, the house / bungalow was excellent and we will be booking this property again in the near future .

Was a last minute booking for Christmas and we loved everything about this house!

Great location, good base for walking right from the door, super clean, bed really comfortable. Everything we needed to cook a full Christmas dinner and lovely pubs and shops close by. Thanks for a wonderful stay Seth, we would love to return. Emma and Keith.

Our second visit to a cosy, modernised and well equipped cottage.

Easy access to shops and pubs just a few minutes walk from the door. The owners are also approachable and helpful if needed. We love staying here, and I'm sure we'll be back again.

Cottage was beautiful.

lovely touches throughout. Loved the island in the kitchen area and the Cumbria map on the wall. Very central for walking the Ullswater Way, and easy access to public transport to Glenridding and Penrith. Fantastic bookshop a few steps away for morning or afternoon coffee and anything needed can be found in the shops in the village. Loved it so much we booked for next year while we were there.

Superb accommodation.

Close to a wonderful village which has great shops and pubs. We had a brilliant week and the house was absolutely ideal.

I was pleased that the outside space looked better in person than in the pictures. Fantastic location with lots going on in the village. Already planning our next visit.

From the welcome bottle of fizz and scones to the resident Herdy Sheep everything was excellent. Shame that the weather wasn't brilliant but it is The Lake District after all lol

Excellent property, comfortable beds and very clean.

Bungalow was very well equipped and the only thing I couldn’t locate were egg cups! Welcome gift were gratefully received. Wonderful location for local restaurants, pubs, shops and walks directly from the cottage. Added bonus was the proximity to the steamers which we used to link up with further walking opportunities. Would definitely return again.

Woodview provides the perfect accommodation within an extremely busy village.

It is comfortable well appointed bungalow in a rare quiet street. We will definitely be returning.

Woodview is a fabulous property.

Very well appointed and maintained with high end fixtures and fittings. Modern shower room and fully fitted kitchen with integrated quality appliances. Everything is immaculately clean, the owners kindly left some welcome gifts including a bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge. Great to have a woodburner in the living area, a large basket of kindling & logs was there when we arrived but a couple of shops in the village also sell for topping up. Ample parking on private driveway which is a bonus. The location of the property gets the sun most times of the day starting off at the rear and moving around to the front in the afternoon. As with the interior the exterior is also very well done & maintained laid with slate chips & paving making it a pleasant outdoor space to sit & enjoy the sun. There is seating & tables to both front & rear, the front having a lovely feature stone table & stools. Cannot recommend this property highly enough. It is in a perfect location with many walks from the door and the Ullswater steamer pier is only a short walk away. The village has a few shops where you can buy almost anything and Penrith is around 5 miles away where there are several supermarkets and Cranstons Butchers & deli selling high end produce. There are 3 pubs in Pooley Bridge all serving food and a fine dining restaurant, 1863 offering a tasting menu.

Perfect stay.

Lovely place clean, comfortable and homely. Great area, peaceful and excellent parking. We loved our welcome gifts and the fact that tea, coffee and milk was provided. Being in the area in the winter the log fire was a great addition after being out on cold days. Comfortable bed, nice shower and spotlessly clean. We would not hesitate to return if we visited the area again.

The cottage was very clean and the scones and prosecco that welcomed us was very much appreciated> We visited old haunts and caught up with old friends, hopefully we will be returning next year

Brilliant peaceful but central location with secure, private parking.

Beds and seating very comfortable, kitchen and bathroom clean and well equipped. Excellent lake / countryside walking opportunities straight from the door and easy access to bus stops plus the shores of Ullswater and the steamers. Local shops supply a good choice of produce if you wish to cook at the property or you can order groceries online to be delivered from a major supermarket for convenience. There are also plenty of options for eating out locally, all within easy walking distance. The property has everything you need for a Lake District holiday - even the clothes airer was decent quality and sturdy enough to dry larger items without collapsing or blowing over. The plug sockets are usefully positioned so you can charge items easily or use a hairdryer close to a mirror - not all properties we have stayed in have thought about such things. We also appreciated the Lake District themed wall art / biscuits / Herdwick sheep etc - the map wallpaper is a great feature. Overall a very comfortable and convenient property - would recommend.

The Dwelling has everything one is likley to need for a comfortable stay in Pooley Bridge; adequate off road parking for a couple of small cars plus an easy walk into the village and down to the Lake.

Lovely property.

Very well equipped with everything in good condition. Spotlessly clean. Brilliant location. Only 2 very small points. We struggled with the lock box both opening it and turning the dials. Older arthritic fingers. Also a grab rail at the front door would have been a huge help. However these are personal issues. The cottage is not specifically disabled adapted so not an absolute requirement. Would love to return and will recommend it.

We had a great time staying at your cottage and the renovation was very nice.

Centrally situated just a short distance from the Motorway made travelling any all directions very manageable. However the choices were still available to experiences the country highways and take in the fantastic views.

We had a great stay, lovely location and the house was finished really nicely and well maintained.

It has everything you could need for a break in the Lakes. The location is great next to Ullswater, much calmer and more peaceful than being near to Windermere, and there are plenty of activities and walking to do from Pooley Bridge. We tried 2 of the local pubs, the Crown Inn and Pooley Bridge Inn, both were really good. Also being within walking distance of the lovely boat trip the Ullswater Steamers is great. The house has its own driveway so you feel a bit smug driving past everyone struggling to park in the village to your own space which was a nice extra, Pooley Bridge gets busy (we were there in the half term week) so it's a great benefit. Worth noting is that to get to most places outside of Pooley Bridge you will drive on smaller roads through the mountains, the Kirkstone Pass is nearby and Googles first choice of route towards Windermere, be sure to research the main roads like the A6/A66 if you are travelling with children/passengers who get car sick! Don't necessarily just follow Google maps like we did!

Lovely bungalow conveniently situated in Pooley Bridge and a great base for exploring the Lake District.

Very high standard of cleanliness and comfort - loved the underfloor heating! Thoroughly enjoyed our break.

Had some issues with heating and the owner dealt with them promptly. Could do with a bit more information about rubbish disposal eg when it is collected.

The house is in a fantastic location, it is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved the map on the wall which helped us to plan our walks in the fells.

It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Lovely view of Dunmallard Hill from the living roon window. We enjoyed it that much we have already booked again.

Stayed for 5 nights in January, our 2nd visit to this cottage, it is very central a few minutes walk to pubs, cafes & shops.

About a 10 minute walk to the shore of ullswater about the same for the lake steamers. Bus stop1minute walk. The cottage is modern, with very good quality fitting’s & furnishings, with everything provided for self catering. Extremely comfortable, very clean and warm. Off road parking on driveway with gates. Will not hesitate to stay again. Thank you.

This is a fantastic property.

Very central with parking on the drive. The sofa is incredibly comfy and the wood burning stove made the place really cosy. We enjoyed going for walks and also had some great food. Penrith is just a short drive away with a great selection of shops. Cranston’s has a great food hall and is well worth a visit. The kitchen is really well equipped and it was fantastic to source local products and cook. Great shower and bedrooms a good size with loads of storage. We found washing dried quickly on the clothes maiden due to the underfloor heating.

Settled in straight away. Ideal base to visit the Eden Valley and the Lake District.

Woodview is a gorgeous property, the gated driveway made us feel secure once in for the evening.

Great access into Pooley Bridge and Ullswater. Would recommend. Kitchen was well stocked, good cooking equipment. Only issue for us was lack of kitchen storage space. We like to cook each night and lots of our shopping stayed in bags until needed.

Lovely property, in good location for access to Pooley Bridge village and the Western Lakes area.

Nice well equipped, open plan kitchen area would be happy to use again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodview, it's a great base for exploring without the car and handy for the A66 for going further afield.

The 508 bus to Windermere over Kirkstone Pass is memorable. The Ullswater 'Steamer' is just a short stoll away and is well worth doing. The views from up on the Roman Road are stunning. We would be happy to return.

2nd visit: fantastic property and location.

Only negative (and this I guess is an agent requirement not a reflection on the property), check out time 9.00 is slightly early and ironic given the guidence to respect the neighbouring property etc. Despite this will be back again soon .

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location.

Very clean and everything we needed was provided. The cottage had a very cosy feel and felt like a home from home. Would like more instructions for the heating as it took us a while to work out. Toilet seat was broken before we arrived although the owners did attempt to arrange to come to fix it mid week. Otherwise a perfect stay and we will be back!

Woodview is a lovely holiday let.

It is warm and comfortable with modern facilities. The living area is perfect for two people, with an excellent log burner. The kitchen area is good for self catering, although we found having just two saucepans a little limiting. Also lack of a potato masher!!! The appliances are easy to use with a folder of manuals to assist. The bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable, with quality bed linen. The bathroom was ok. A broken toilet seat and a well used shower was a little less than perfect, but it was manageable. I think the grouting in the shower needed a little attention, but it is a bug bear of mine! The location of the bungalow is exceptional. A stride from the main street, with all the facilities there, but very quiet and undisturbed. Penrith and Keswick only short drives away, and the Ullswater Steamer a short walk away. Lowther Castle and Dalemain House are close and well worth a visit. It is well positioned for the walkers as well as those just needing to relax. We had a good week in Woodview, and would book again.

A bit more information on how the the central heating worked would have been useful.

Also there was a distinct lack of information on recycling - we took our glass bottles home with us (unless of course Cumbria does not recycle)

The bungalow is wonderful with everything we needed for a holiday stay. It was exactly what we were looking for - a home away from home within walking distance to the lake and the pubs and with parking. We will definitely be keen to come back again soon.

Wonderful property, well thought out space and facilities.

Great location. Small niggle is that the garden is all paved or gravel, which we understand is low maintenance, but wouldn't be too friendly to small children's hands and knees - however not an issue for us and we will likely book this property again.

Fantastic bungalow in great, central location.

Recently updated to a very high standard. Children enjoyed the comfortable sofa and large TV! We enjoyed looking at the map on the wall whilst having tea to see where we'd walked and plan the next day's trips. Both front and back gardens lovely and sunny just a shame there's not more greenery. Would definitely return. Lovely touch of wine and chocolate on arrival.

We had a small problem with the front door key and were fortunate enough to meet the lovely owners who went above and beyond to fix it immediately.(Thank you!)
