What Can I say about this little cottage, well it's tucked away and although it nestles between larger houses the owner has made it feel very private, great little courtyard suitable for my city car Aygo parked up with ease and was able to lock the yard doors and yet plenty of space to wonder round the patio garden wihich has floral dispalys and my favourite was the rocking bench which I spent a great deal of time on sitting reading perfect , a stroll to the beach and town and nearby park which has a little cafe which you must try, the accommodation was lovely lots of plugs, space, and great deco very clean the bed is just lovely best sleeps whilst here a warm cottage lots of hot water shower amazing cooked lots of lovely meals, the town is buzzing with shops all you need and a great base for visting Blackpool and Fleetwood ect, then we came back to a wonderful little warm cosey cottage, after tea we strolled up to the pier and walked on the sandy beach perfect holiday well thought out little hide-away cottage, the town is very clean and friendly people this holiday is just what we needed and we would like to thank the owner for making it perfect best wishes Janet and Dave Whittingham

  • "Mews Cottage was well situated with Ashton Gardens just down the lane & the beach, the shops & other amenities all within a few minutes walk."

It was very clean inside & out & also very cosy on the one day we had bad weather. The welcome pack was much appreciated especially as our 2.5 hour journey turned into nearly 6 hours due to issues on the motorway! The courtyard was excellent for our two small dogs once the gates are closed it was very safe for them to potter around. We even managed to sit out one afternoon when my sister in law & hubby came for a quick visit. We parked our car in the courtyard but you can park on Beach Road for free if you want to. Michael was on the other end of the phone if needed but we had no issues. We will definitely visit again & have recommended Mews Cottage to our daughter & her boyfriend & their small cockapoo.

Many thanks to the owner for not leaving anything for a dog after I informed him that our dog had died the week before. It is a shame as the cottage is ideal for dogs being completely secure to let them out the door, a lovely park and a beach close by.

And beach You can purchase an all day ticket for £6 that you can use on the trams and Blackpool buses so really good value We had a problem with Internet and contacted the owner he very quickly responded and came to cottage to sort it The oven did cause us a wee problem as settings had practically disappeared so I decided best thing to do just eat out (great holiday for me) I would certainly go back to this cottage and feel happy to recommend it

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry you had problems with the oven controls. We have now had a new oven fitted so I'm sorry to say you won't have an excuse for not cooking at your next visit!!! Property Owner

  • "We stayed here last year and it is definitely the best dog friendly accommodation compared to other properties we have stayed at."

It's a hidden gem situated in a quiet residential area close to beach, square, Ashton gardens and bus stop. Clean and tidy and quality furniture and fittings. Very well equipped and welcome pack on arrival. Intermittent WiFi not just in cottage but on Fylde coast. The oven is difficult to use and there is a booklet in the top drawer which isn't quite accurate as the temperature control button is upside down. We figured it out quickly and it wasn't a problem. Can't wait to return

Thank you so much for your kind comments. Sorry you found the oven controls challenging, we have a new oven on the way. Hope to see you again. Property Owner

  • "Great to have off road parking & the garden was a great sun trap."

Cottage was cosy, and many thanks to the owner for the welcome pack. Only drawback was lack of information. For example, we were asked to put out bins Thursday evening so we put them all out. On leaving Friday morning we noticed it was only the black bin that should've gone out! WiFi was tempremental- some sort of booster box and no instructions on operating , so most of the time it wasn't functional. Oven wasn't working, but no book to write comments in to inform owner ( I messaged him about the WiFi but no acknowledgement, so didnt bother re. oven). Oherwise a lovely stay that I'd recommend. Very dog friendly cottage and area.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that I was unable to respond to your text as my phone was away for repair. There is however, a second contact number in the information book to which we would have responded. The oven is working, the instructions are in the drawer next to the oven. Had you been able to contact me I would have suggested that you switched the WiFi off and on which usually clears any fault. Failing that I would have called round to look and contact the internet provider for you if necessary. Property Owner

The cottage is private with its own yard which made it safe for our dog. Everything was within walking distance and I never needed the car. Adjoining is the Ashton Park which made dog walking convenient. Shops, pubs, beach were all walkable. The cottage is very well furnished and decorated. On sunny days we ate al fresco in the courtyard which is a sun trap. Parking our small Toyota Alphard camper in the yard wasn’t a problem. Hope to be going back.

It was also warm. The only downside was the car access. There is a ramp but a section is broken and on bringing the car (a Honda Civic) in and out at an angle, the wheels hit this broken section and it grounded. However there was always parking on the road, sometimes close, sometimes a short walk away.

Thank you for your kind comments about the cottage. We have now filled in the pot hole, sorry for any problems this caused. Property Owner

. our fault for having a big car….. the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all … we couldn’t get the oven to work or the grill so ended up throwing food away that we had brought with us… and no DVD player… I thought this was standard In holiday let’s ?? Apart from these small niggly things it was a lovely place… clean and welcoming and so so nicely decorated throughout …. We would certainly book to stay there again but knowing not to take DVDs or food with us

I am sorry for the problems during your stay. I do wish you had contacted me while you were there, I live in St Annes and would have gladly called to fix the wifi, it needed a reboot following a power cut, and to show you how to use the cooker, instructions are in the information folder. The parking area is sufficient to park up to a Range Rover or estate car. Despite this, I am pleased you would be happy to book again. Thank you. Property Owner
