Arrived in the pitch dark. Well hidden down a lane, could do with a sign in the lane, but advantage was how peaceful it was. Extremely well equipped, toasty warm, comfy firm beds, really close to Lancaster but still very much in countryside.Nice walks with the added advantage of a garden centre with a great tearoom a few steps away. Donkey at the bottom of the garden an added bonus. Safe enclosed garden and parking close by for those travelling with little ones. With three bedrooms and two other ...

With three bedrooms and two other cottages attached would be great place for a big family gathering.

About the location

LANCASTER

Morecambe 5 miles; Kendal 21 miles; Windermere 38 miles.

The historic city of Lancaster sits on edge of Morecambe Bay, with the River Lune flowing through its centre. Lancaster retains many excellent examples of handsome Georgian architecture, and with its captivating medieval castle, Ashton Memorial, and four museums, it’s an interesting place for those in search of history and tales of the past. Among the many amenities, there are two venues for live performances, the Lancaster Grand Theatre and the Dukes, as well as open-air concerts held frequently in the pretty Williamson Park during the summer season. The Forest of Bowland and The Arnside & Silverdale Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty provide visitors with lots of opportunities to take in the flora and fauna of the area, with wonderful walking and cycling ways to enjoy. There are also good road and rail links into Cumbria and beyond, meaning Lancaster is a wonderful base for also exploring the Lake District.
