A comfortable house with two bedrooms, close to the towncenter with all its advantages.

Emma is a caring host, on arrival there was a welcome package with among other things milk, bread, bisquits, sunflowers. It was an easy communication with quick answers to questions. My recommendation :)

The holiday home was immaculatly clean with every home comfort available from 3 TVs, comfy beds, a fan in the main bedroom and a lovely welcome basket.

Within walking distance to the town centre with a quirky pub only two doors up from the house. I would definitely stay here again.

A very welcome selection of essential food on arrival, which is always a nice touch. The hosts were quick to respond and very helpful. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely book again.

We also appreciated the welcome goodies! The owners have thought of everything. We could not always find parking on the street but had no problem finding a spot nearby. A few minutes walk to the delights of Ulverston for pubs, restaurants, and shops. Ideal for visiting the south lakes. Would happily stay again!

Emma and Jacqui couldn’t be more hospitable in how they have set up the house, it really does feel like home from home and the welcome goodies were so thoughtful. Our family have assorted health issues and having a comfortable space to spend time in is important for us, so the comfy front room and beds were much appreciated. The proximity to town and especially our favourite cafe/shop experience The Fourpence is ideal. Before booking we did note that the bathroom is on the top floor and that is a consideration others may need to make, but for us we are glad we didn’t let it put us off.

No 39 is a fabulous property, a real home from home.

The hosts had thought of everything you could possibly need and the additional treats were really appreciated. The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained, the beds and bedding luxurious and comfortable and the shower was fantastic! I genuinely couldn't have asked for more and would definitely book again

Number 39 was superb.

Extremely well equipped, warm and comfortable in a superb quiet location and with parking right outside the door. Town centre is a 5 minute walk away, station 15 minutes. The owners live next door and responded to our one query immediately. They keep it in tip top condition. Possibly the best house/apartment/cottage that we have ever stayed in

We had an excellent holiday in this property.

It is cozy and yet still spacious as it is spread over three floors. Everything was great. The lovely landlady left us a welcome basket including milk and even a bottle of Prosecco! We were there over the Valentines weekend. I directed a couple of questions at her through her mobile and she responded very quickly. The house itself was very nicely furnished very comfortable and very very clean. We will be returning! I would say that the property would benefit from an extra toilet as there is only one shared between Four people. It is a minor thing and cannot be helped, but that was literally the only issue. Thank you for providing a great time. ❤️

Beautiful property. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The welcome pack is the best we’ve had in any of the other properties we’ve stayed at . We are looking forward to a couple of return visits next year .

We had a lovely stay at Number 39.

A comfortable, cosy, clean and wonderfully decorated house. Having the bathroom at the top of the house was keeping us fit. But what a nice bathroom it was…great size shower and deep bath. The bed was really comfy with quality bedding, makes all the difference. Plus we enjoyed a very welcome welcome pack, always a nice surprise. The parking was a bit hit and miss, but always found a space just around the corner. All in all we had a wonderful trip in the lovely Ulverston.

In easy walking distance of the town centre but far enough away. Perhaps a little more space in the outside seating area would be nice but overall we were really happy and would certainly recommend to friends and family.

Wow one of the best rentals we have stayed in and we have rented many.

The attention to detail was first class they thought of everything you would need and more. Place was immaculate, great shower, comfy bed and the best welcome pack ever, Inc procecco, milk, juice, yogurt, fruit, eggs, bread and butter. All condiments. coffee tea etc Nice small area to sit out in and the weather was scorching. Only negative I would say is the bathroom which is on the third floor definitely not suitable for anyone disabled however that is a minor point lovely area friendly people.

39. The house is stylish, has everything you need and is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and we had a lovely welcome basket which was very kind. Ulverston is a cool town which has a great deal to offer but is smartly understated. We hope to return for one of the festivals.

Gorgeous home in the heart of Ulverston.

Beautifully decorated and equipped with every single detail well thought out. Clean comfortable spacious, the photos cannot do it justice. The owners provide all you need for a holiday to remember. Highly recommended.

Easy walk into Ulverston

This is a comfortable warm house.

We did not come for a holiday. We had to move out of our house for four weeks whilst the kitchen was refurbished. We stayed here for two weeks. It was so good we booked another week during a following chemo session. Needed to be near Furness General Hospital for my husband's chemotherapy. However, I would recommend this house for a holiday. It is homely and warm. Well equipted kitchen. Comfortable beds. Easy access to town centre on foot. Great for access to the lakes. Great shower and bath. The owners are brilliant. If you need anything they are accessible and helpful. It was a great stay and relaxing.

We had a fantastic stay at number 39.

Everything was perfect. Emma made lovely touches to the cottage including fresh flowers, cosy throws and a very generous welcome pack. Lots of handy things..condiments, washing machine tablets and dishwasher tablets and bathroom lotions etc. She really had thought of everything. Many thanks Emma.

The property is beautiful and the hosts have thought of everything Even little things that other vacation homes miss, like hand soap by the sinks.

The hosts have provided everything and then some. We were so please to see some snacks and beverages stocked to make it so we did not need the market immediately. As coffee drinkers we were very pleased to have a lovely large coffee maker! The bathroom is lovely and I really enjoyed the soaking tub. The extra comfort and style made this a wonderful vacation flat. We will definitely recommend to friends traveling into Ulverston!

Lovely house Emma provided a great welcome pack, even though there was lots of extras, we were short of nothing.

The property was the best we have ever stayed in very comfortable and easy reach of the local shops resteraunts and pubs.

We had a wonderful stay at Number Thirty-Nine.

There were so many extra touches in the cottage that made it a home from home. It was very clean and well equipped. The welcome pack was really useful as we arrived late on the Friday night and it was very thoughtful to leave Easter treats for the 2 children. It was in a perfect location for exploring Ulverston on foot and the Lakes in the car. We would definitely return.

Enjoyed some lovely walks in and around the Ulverston area. The walk up to the Sir John Barrow monument is a must for the view alone. Lovely restaurants and great pubs in the town. The property is a credit to Jacqui & Emma.

Outstanding property within walking distance of Ulverston town centre and railway station.

Easy road links to Lake District attractions. House was very clean and well laid out. The kitchen was very well equipped (all the items that I took with us based on experience of other properties stayed unused in their bag). Very useful welcome package with everything required for breakfast on the first morning, plus the additional Halloween chocolates were a thoughtful addition. Parking is available on the street outside (we did struggle on our first night but to be fair we arrived around 9pm - every other day there was a space outside the front door) The house was wonderfully warm - perfect at this time of year. The lights were on when we arrived so we felt very welcome. The beds were very comfy and the shower was powerful. We would highly recommend Number 39 and would be more than happy to return. As I wrote in the guestbook - I feel like we have been spoilt for future rental properties following what we've experienced here!

Another amazing stay in this beautiful cottage, perfect location, really can't find anything negative to say about this property, quite the reverse the owners have thought of every detail, provision and comfort and we would recommend this property to everyone thinking of staying in a central location in Ulverston

This is the best cottage we have ever stayed in … and we’ve stayed in a lot.

The welcome pack was extremely generous and very much appreciated. The whole cottage was very cosy and clean and we particularly loved the bathroom. However, our favourite thing of all was the courtyard area out the back of the cottage where we were able to take advantage of the warm nights. Thank you so much - we will be back!

With close relatives in the area, we frequently visit and stay in rented accommodation, most of which has been of a high standard.

No. 39 was no exception, in fact it was one of those places to which we will definitely return. The place is decorated and furnished beautifully and Emma and Jacqui, who live next door, were great hosts who left us to get on with our visit but were readily at hand if required. They left us an unusually generous welcome pack. We’ll definitely be back next year but I’ll bet we have to book early!

For work purposes, I need to make frequent visits to Ulverston and have had the opportunity to stay at various accommodations.

I have to say that this is a very much a wonderful place for a number of reasons: the host is delightful, the home is very clean and comfortable, there are so many nice touches (a welcome basket of food goodies, fresh fruit, fresh flowers, etc.), the kitchen utensils are great (many places fail on this), and it is close to downtown. Super good accommodation! I hope to return!

Spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Very convenient for walking into town or over Hoad. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

A beautifully modernised ,solidly built terraced house within easy walking distance of the centre of Ulverston,provided us with a very comfortable stay .

The owners very thoughtfully provided us with a welcome pac which was much appreciated after our walk up from the station . The house was warm and clean ,every modern convenience . The only thing that confused us was that the address was listed as “ Butlers Yard” which is actually a section of the long street Soutergate.

Emma, Jacqui, are the exceptional hostes, and Number 39 is one of the most pleasant and we’ll presented properties I’ve stated in.

Every detail has been considered and all the fittings and fixtures are at 5 star hotel level. Their welcome package is beyond generous and level of responsiveness next level. I can’t recommend the place more, bang for buck you won’t find a better stay!

This house was very comfortable and well presented and extremely clean.

Bedding etc was top notch and the welcome pack was the best we’d ever received. Any queries were dealt with promptly and courteously and nothing was too much trouble. The owners should be proud of what they’ve achieved; their attention to detail was very much appreciated. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to family and friends as a good base for exploring the local area.

We noticed that there had been a very substantial increase in prices compared with previous years.

We were prepared to pay this as a one-off on the basis that we did not get a holiday last year. However, we would not book again at that sort of price in future.

We knew there was only a courtyard and no garden but the courtyard is so small it was impossible to sit and relax in.

Such a shame as the house is gorgeous.

A lovely stay at Number Thirty-Nine during October Half Term week.

The property was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with all modcoms. The owners were lovely and were on hand if we needed anything. A fantastic welcome basket was waiting for us on arrival, and was very much appreciated, especially after a long drive up from Surrey. Ulverston is a lovely town, with quirky shops, nice pubs and good walks on the door step. Would definitely recommend both town and cottage and hope to visit again.

Number 39 was perfect for our needs.

The property was well presented and well equipped. There were nice extra touches; maps and guides, board games, blankets downstairs for any chilly evenings, a very welcome 'welcome pack.' The parking permit was useful when there were spaces available. A bit of guidance on where else to park might help. Overall no. 39 was ideal - comfortable, good location, well managed.

Recommendations for local cycle routes, brilliantly equipped kitchen and even help with keeping our bikes dry: they really did everything to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended and we hope to be back again some time.
