Class accommodation- nothing could improve the stay!

I wouldn’t hesitate to stay longer next time. Location is perfect for a stay in The Lakes.

The apartment was very nice, modern and comfortable.

Car parking was excellent, being private, very close to the building and with plenty of space. The accommodation office seemed to be manned most days, with very pleasant and helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again. One very slight criticism is that the signs in the building state room numbers but the accommodation communications only refer to apartment name. It is a little confusing when trying to find your apartment for the first time.

Lovely Property and very well kept, Spacious apartment IMO a bit sterile, much ike a show home as most proerties we have used go the extra with cooking utensils and some cleaning chems etc, It is a luxury property but could be improved.

No local info Re visits / days out. We had taken a short break the Fridge and Freezer were switched off (probably in error) very dissapointing as it messed up our plans, causing a wasted day, food shopping.

We feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful place to stay.

Everything was perfect and the little touches such as a welcome pack were very welcome after a long drive. One minor suggestion would be to make the location of the suite clearer in the booking emails. If it was there I must have missed it. We spent a short while looking around on arrival to locate the suite within the complex. We thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful accommodation.

Beyond beautiful facility with everything necessary provided. Convenient location in the southern Lake District. Would love to come back again for another break!

Beautiful and clean apartments, quiet even when full of guests! Extremely well designed and all amenities you could want in the kitchen. This place is exceptionally well run and would recommend to all as a great base for the Lake District as well as a holiday/weekend retreat! Wonderful management and also met the owner who was delightful! Thank you!

Beautiful building. Our apartment was very well equipped with a high standard of furnishing. We really appreciated the little extras such as the milk, biscuits and shower gels ect. We can't wait to come back. Thank you

Everything went smoothly. We had just stayed in a 5 star hotel and this was a nice transition.

December 2024 stay and would highly recommend this accommodation It is impeccably maintained and the staff who maintain that i spoke to have pride in the place and it shows Spotless apartment and everything thought of for your stay They had set up decorations for xmas which were fantastic and in keeping with the building Pool table was a big bonus plus loads of other stuff for children/ adults Big recommend

The Emma suite was very comfortable indeed.

With a nice welcome pack on arrival. Very close to Marks and Spencer’s, walking distance & Town. Lots of places to eat. Also walks from the door & not to far to travel to places of interest. Would recommend.

We loved our stay at Stone Cross Mansion.

My children loved the outdoor grounds, playing on the swing at the bottom of the garden, playing boules, badminton and mini golf. They enjoyed the use of the pool table and the table football. The apartment was clean and cosy and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. I have already recommended to family and friends as I was so impressed!

The only downside was the second bedroom, which was a bit tight for space regarding the amount of storage space and the inconvenience of the sloping ceiling.

If a different apartment offered a better second bedroom we would not hesitate to rebook.

The Emma Suit was spacious and immaculate, as were the communal areas. The location is a stone throw from the town and its amenities while feeling secluded and rural. Lovely place & maintenance team very helpful.

They need to improve their wi-fi. We had WiFi issues the whole 2 weeks. While they genuinely tried to improve it with a new router I struggled to work there

Furnishings and cleanliness were perfect.

Amazed at the size of the property also. We would definitely stay here again. 10/10

Luxury accommodation.

No issues at all. Perhaps it would have been been even better if a member of staff was at hand (just a presence really). Not that we needed anyone. Would highly recommend

The property is magnificent even better than photos.

The grounds, common areas, and the apartment are faultless. There are no negatives The building is spotless. You really feel you have come somewhere very special.

The Emma Suite has everything you need for a comfortable stay, luxury beds, comfy sofa and a big TV, all set in a stunning mansion, with well maintained grounds, the staff were friendly and helpful and the parking is plentiful, we would definitely come back.

A sofa with a higher back would have been preferable.

Property was fantastic quite, clean and great location for exploring to the lakes.

This place is absolutely fabulous!

We almost always holiday at cottages in the UK, but this is one of the very best. The place is stunning, a wonderful mixture of traditional and modern, the facilities provided are excellent and it served as a great base to explore the Lakes. We're already thinking of when we can come back and I've lost count of the number of friends I've recommended you to!

Outstanding property that has bags of character - a great location to discover the Lake District - Mike was a great host - this was our second visit to Stone Cross Mansion and we will be back again in the near future.

A deluxe, modern apartment set in a historic Gothic mansion.

Sea and hill views from the windows and rabbits gambolling on the lawns. Well equipped and immaculately presented.

Our stay at Stone Cross Manor was lovely.

Not only was the Manor and apartment an excellent setting, it was close enough to Ulverston to walk into town, and not too far to drive to Lakes Windermere and Coniston, and Grizedale Forest. A perfect holiday base. We felt very privileged to be in such a lovely apartment with such a great setting, especially the entrance/staircase. All was so well kept, clean and managed. Just for info. The few minor teething issues with a new apartment, (cooker not easy to work/locked on 'safe', curtain not working, WiFi not fully on), we're all quickly and seemlessly fixed. Staff were easily contactable on mobile and quick to respond. Issues understandable and minor, only due to relative newness of apartment and facilities. To help future tenants: More instructions on cooker, dishwasher, WiFi etc would be useful. All in all 5 star. Thank you.

We were the very first to stay in this apartment, so it was immaculate.

Beautiful building in a stunning setting. The we were given a very warm welcome by Mike and the team. Nothing was a bother to them. Comfortable beds, high standard fixtures and fittings. Games and activities were on site for all to use. The surrounding area is packed with outdoor activities. Great zoo just 10 minutes drive. The roads are like roller coasters so don't be in a hurry to get anywhere. Very close to Aldi and M&S food. There is a gate down through the new build houses that takes you to the pavement that leads you in to the town centre. Ulverston is packed with great pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Can't recommend enough, would love to return one day.
