  • "This was our 3rd stay/week at Stone Cross Mansion (Myles Dec-22, Margaret May-23 & Myles Aug-24) and once again we had a great week."

Each time we return we find welcome new additions - covered bike shed, boules..... A great location to access the lake district and surrounding area. This time round, enjoyed cycle rides from Dalegarth to Ravenglass on the Eskdale Trail, around Cartmel and Ullswater and hikes around Tarn Hows, Grasmere and Aira Force falls. Have already planned to return in the near future and had no problem convincing extended family to join us in another suite!

  • "Great apartment and the historic character of the building was lovely - we made great use off the pool table, was a nice touch this was available to use."

The apartment was spacious the open plan space was great with cooking, dinning. Would recommend the apartment to any one else who would love to stay as being on the ground floor can sometimes have disadvantages but we found the access to the apartment was easy and made it easy with a baby.

Thank you for your lovely feedback! I'm glad you had a nice time and we hope to see you again soon Mike and the team Property Owner

It was so stunning and felt very luxurious. We travelled with 2 children, as well as grandparents and we all loved the place. The games on the lawn were a fantastic touch and my son loved the swings. The pool table was great too! Everything we could possibly want and I have already recommended this place to friends!

  • "We have a had a great stay at Stone Cross Mansion."

We couldn’t fault any aspect of the accommodation - the building is impressive, the Myles suite was absolutely stunning, and the grounds really well maintained. It was spotlessly clean and we were provided with everything that we needed. What was really nice were the extras that were provided on arrival, such as bottles of water, milk, hot chocolate, biscuits, sweets - it was a lovely touch. The people that we spoke to from the mansion were all very friendly and helpful. The location was very good, with Lake Windermere and Coniston Water within easy driving distance, and Ulverston (with plenty of pubs and restaurants) a short stroll away. We would definitely recommend it, and intending to come back again in the future. Thanks for a great holiday.

  • "Spent Christmas in the Myles Suite in stunning Stone Cross Mansion (other family members stayed in the Mabel Suite)."

The main hall was beautifully decorated for Christmas (including life size Nutcrackers!). The Myles Suite was a fantastic suite to celebrate a big Birthday on Christmas Day. The fireplace easily accommodated our six Christmas Stockings & Santa had no problem getting down the Chimney! Many happy memories were made! A few minor issues were resolved quickly and effectively by Mike & his team. Look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Just like the pictures, immaculate property in a perfect location. We had some minor issues which were resolved very quickly and just property teething troubles. I would stay again in a heartbeat at this very special property. The Myles suite was huge! I would stay at any of the apartments in this building, it really is stunning.

We loved it so much. It certainly met and exceeded our expectations of a luxury treat in a beautiful space spending time with loved ones. In fact the two eldest girls opted to stay in and chill rather than join trips out. They also enjoyed their own photo shoot on the stunning stairs. I could go on and on. Superb.

The high ceiling and original features really made it a special place to be. Then the modern fit out with all the essentials and beyond, combined with original and comfortable furnishings really set this property apart. Beds too were very comfortable. There is a shortcut through the adjoining houses leaving it a very short walk to Ulverston. For groceries too shops are super close by. We were genuinely sorry to leave this beautiful apartment and hope to return.
