We loved the beauty of the building and outside area with activities.

The appartment was lovely and comfortable apart from the settee, the Base was too wide and we either lay down or sat on the edge. Would have liked some extra mugs and a larger saucepan too. The proximity of town and the supermarket opposite the entrance was handy. We had a wonderful time visiting local areas without driving too far. We would definately stay at the mansion again.

What a wonderful week we have enjoyed in the Violet Suite, it was just right for our family (Grandma Grandpa Mum Dad and Granddaughter age 3).

The spacious rooms open,plan living and being all on one level meant Imogen could move around freely without fear of falling down stairs. Everything was beautifully arranged and decorated, the kitchen was well equipped and the whole apartment was spotlessly clean. We made full use of all the outdoor facilities axe throwing being a particular hit for a three year old !!

Fantastic place.

But disappointed that in the large three bedroom apartment there is only ONE tv .I have stayed in smaller cottages with tv's in all bedrooms.

beautiful apt everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay would have liked a separate easy chair as being a small person don't find the settee easy to use showers great kitchen a bit high tech but we managed to work it out all together we had a very relaxing week we are now in the process of booking a week in June 2025 Gwen and Graham hanlon

We were absolutely delighted with our accommodation and our stay at Stone Cross Mansion.

Fabulously furnished, spotlessly clean, everything required for a lovely holiday. Also a big TV screen and a cordless hoover!! The pool table in the building was extremely welcome for my teenagers - and for us too. Loads of games too. It was ideally situated - we felt very rural but were actually just a few minutes walk from Ulverston town centre.

Apartment was amazing, comfortable, spacious and with great facilities.

The mansion itself has great facilities and the staff were helpful. It is a great location to explore the lakes.

Perfect, very high standard, it takes a lot of work to maintain a property to this level.

The Violet Suite at Stone Cross Mansion was fantastic for our family getaway this summer.

We took the parents away and they were able to have their own privacy with a luxurious bedroom with large en suite and still able to spend quality time with us in the communal areas of the apartment and in the mansion grounds where we enjoyed games. The apartment was well equipped, comfortable, clean and warm. We were greeted by friendly staff and they helped with any issues which we had (although we didn’t have many issues as everything was so good). The children felt like they were in a fairytale setting, staying at such a fabulous mansion. The bed was comfortable, there was no expense spared in the quality of furniture and furnishings. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to booking again to stay here in the future. A fantastic place to stay!

We had an amazing week in one of the luxurious apartment. Everything was really clean, beds superb, linens and towels were great, all the appliances in the kitchen were top-notched. Special thank you to Mike. We will be back.

Overall the property was excellent.

The sofa was a trifle uncomfortable for people of our age (Over 65). It was very modern with deep seating which if you have difficulty in moving can be a problem. The kitchen could do with a couple of cooking/serving dishes. Mike, the property manager was very helpful. Overall an excellent stay and will be back.

Superb flat in an amazing building.

Many thoughtful touches to make stay excellent, especially in the kitchen equipment - probably the first time we've stayed somewhere with properly sharp knives! And literally everything we needed. Great decor, everything functional worked perfectly, games in communal areas good for rainy days. All round excellence - many thanks.

What a superb property! We had a great week here. The property is amazing and the apartment has everything you need for a really enjoyable and comfortable stay in the South Lakes area. The attention to detail is brilliant and I would highly recommend staying here. We met one of the owners, Mike, a couple of times during our stay and he was so welcoming, informative and helpful. Getting to the South Lakes is really easy and it's only a 10 min stroll into Ulverston itself. We'd recommend The Mill and The Farmers for a meal out. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
