  • "We really loved Calgarth View because it’s not directly in Windermere or Bowness which means parking is much more convenient , EV charging is a real bonus though we don’t have an EV."

    The house is cosy , clean , comfortable and tastefully modern . Some lovely walks nearby and beautiful Troutbeck village is close . Very handy to have a Spar nearby with a filling station and bus stops right outside . Nice modern heating controls also so easy to use . The bedrooms are big beds are brilliant and great views both front and back. We were very impressed with the oven . Absolutely no hesitation in giving Calgarth View 100% feedback . Easy to get to Windermere , Grassmere , Hawskhead and Ambleside.

  • "Booked a week before for 2 days over Easter."

    The property is comfortable and clean with all round good facilities.About 1.5 Miles to windemere and a little further to bowness so well positioned. There is a bus stop outside also if your tired of walking. There is a pub next door but unfortunately the kitchen is closed which would have been beneficial for food

  • "After the initial confusion our stay at this cosy well situated cottage was superb."

    We were privileged to be the first guest at the recently refurbished cottage and was impressed at the how equip it was. The location was perfect allowing easy access to both Windermere and Ambleside either by car or the extremely convenient bus. Our stay at this beautiful and wonderful cottage was made even better by the special care and consideration from Ian the owner. Thank you. We highly recommend this cottage to make your holiday to the Lakes even more memorable. We will definitely be back.
