"Lovely cottage, well equipped with everything you needed."
Friendly neighbours, bus stop ,park, walks ,pub all nearby. The separate secure garden was a lovely retreat. Beautifully arranged with blocked paved area. Washing line ,safe child friendly space. Lunch was eaten there most days we stayed.

"Lovely cottage only negative unable to adjust the heating no kindle for the fire and only 4 logs we tried to take the chill off 1st thing and in the evening p."
S requires instruction book for cooker and what goes in what bin etc
Hi Mr Andrews
Thanks so much for staying at the Cottage and for your review, which is much appreciated.
The Hive thermostat controls the heating - you’re welcome to turn it up, but also please send us an email if any problems as I can do it remotely.
Regarding the fire, we ask every guest to ‘top up’ the logs and kindling as they use them - but it sounds like that hadn’t happened when you arrived. The very local truckstop garage stocks both logs and kindling for future reference.
Sorry this didn’t meet your expectations this time.

"I just wanted to say our stay at timekeepers cottage was the best experience and holiday I have ever had."
Myself my partner my son and my dog; perfect facility. Homely; amazing interior design and kitchen essentials where better than i have my self. The garden was beautiful and I named it the secret fairy garden with a washing line also two separate choices for seating. Enough space for my son to enjoy. Trains can be seen from the back garden my son was overwhelmed. Just fabulous! Thankyou again! We we will be coming back :D Best wishes and would 100% recommend to anyone! Parris Taylor-Black

"To whom it may concern at Sykes Cottages."
We wanted to make you aware that we had issues during our stay at Timekeepers Cottage. This is a copy of an e mail we sent to the hosts. We contacted them a couple of times prior to that and got no response. It was unfortunate that there was no contact telephone number for the hosts to enable us to speak with them about the issues we had.
It was a shame as there were lots of positives about the property. The bed was clean and very comfortable and the shower was great. It was a shame there was no shower mat as the floor got slippy and also a pair of oven gloves would have been helpful.
Please see my e mails
Dear Verity,
We are sorry to hear that you couldn’t get through to us.
I have rechecked our emails and we didn’t hear anything from you during your stay.
Indeed I sent an email to you on the 6th May checking everything was ok, but didn’t receive a reply.
If you would care to reshare your email with any feedback, we would be pleased to see it.
Thank you very much for the positive feedback on the cottage. We have restocked the oven gloves which must have gone missing - and will sort out a shower mat.

"From the moment we arrived we felt welcome in Timekeepers Cottage with a bottle of wine & everything easy to find."
The owners were in touch before & during our stay via email giving us a little insight to the history of the cottage & checking everything was ok on day of arrival & after we left.
Beautifully clean throughout comfortable everything we needed was there.
Parking was never an issue in the narrow street and so quiet and tranquil sitting in the lovely garden.
A great place to stay to explore all the stunning places nearby too!
Many thanks again for a wonderful stay ❤️

"Excellent. We had a slight problem with the key arrangement which was 80 percent our fault, and a nit-picking complaint that there wasn't a can-opener."
But really we give 10 out of 10.
Many thanks for the great feedback Jim - hope to have you back!
Sorry about the can opener … there definitely was one. We will have another one added.

"We stayed a week and really felt like a home from home!"
Staying over Christmas, the host put some extra effort in to make it feel like Christmas with some decorations.
There’s local dog friendly pubs, great walks (yealand wood, warton crag), would say here again.
Sorry for the late reply and thanks so much for the lovely feedback James!

"I stayed in Timekeepers cottage with my son and 2 dogs for 3 nights ."
We were really happy with the cottage , it’s been tastefully refurbished and is very comfortable. It’s located in a pretty village which is close to lots of places to visit . We visited Arnside and took the train from Carnforth to Grange over Sands.
The cottage has a beautiful enclosed garden which we didn’t use but I imagine would get well used in high summer. I would book Timekeepers cottage again so that says it all really .
Hi Kathryn - thanks so much for your feedback and for being a fantastic guest!

"We only stayed for a short break in Time Keepers cottage but it is a clean, comfortable little cottage and a good base to explore Cumbria."
Warton itself offers no amenities, so guests need to take essentials with them before they park up for the day. Carnforth is only a short drive away though. Lots to see and do in the area.

"We enjoyed our stay at the comfortable cottage and our holiday in the Carnforth area."
One or two things needed attention on arrival but the owner was quick to respond and sort these out. The welcome goodies were appreciated as more and more places have stopped doing this! Parking wasn't a problem at the front, but we generally parked in Back Lane. Thank you.
Many thanks Graham - and for your helpful feedback whilst staying, which we have done our best to address!

"A really well equipped cottage in the centre of a beautiful village."
Close to all amenities and only a short trip to the South Lakes.
The rear garden is a lot larger than it looks and a great place to relax and enjoy the fine weather.
Communication from the owners was excellent.
Would highly recommend
Many thanks for your kind feedback Alan … we need to update the garden pics!

"A fantastic property that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and refurbished to a high standard."
Situated in the heart of the village it was perfectly placed for heading out for walks in the countryside, or simply strolling down to the Malt Shovel, were you receive a friendly welcome, and they serve great value meals.
We never experienced any problems finding a place on the road, outside of the property to park, which was a definite bonus.
We had a lovely week away with our two dogs, and would definitely stay here again.
Many thanks for your kind review Tim, delighted you enjoyed your time with us!

"We stayed at Time Keepers Cottage for 3 nights."
It was perfect for our needs. Very homely and the owners had thought about everything you need. The property had recently been renovated and was spotlessly clean throughout.
We had an email prior to arrival with some helpful information and I would recommend a visit to the Malt House and The Old School Brewery, both were welcoming, served good food and dog friendly.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit to Time Keepers Cottage.
Thanks so much for your lovely feedback Jenny (and sorry to get back to you so late!)
