  • "We could not fault the holiday lodge, however the club house at White Cross Bay can only be described as terrible."

The quality of the food served there is awful and the service at the bar not much better. The food store on site is very poorly stocked in my opinion. White Cross Bay is a great holiday location for messing about on the lake let down by poor club house facilities.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Grizedale Lodge. We are sorry to hear of your experiences of the clubhouse and of the facilities at White Cross Bay. We are a separate organisation to White Cross Bay and whilst we are not responsible for the service or facilities, we will pass on your comments. We hope to welcome you back to the Lake District again. Property Owner

  • "We have just returned from Grizedale lodge and had a great week."

We were a family of 6 adults . Loved the lodge , has everything you could possibly want . Excellent location, lovely site. A lovely touch with welcome gifts, wine chocolates etc, much appreciated. Only one down side was we are all adults and unfortunately with there only being a 3 seater sofa and a 2 Seater sofa , one of us always had to sit on a dining room chair which wasn’t comfortable while watching TV on an evening . It would be ideal for adults and children but a squash for 6 adults. Other than this it is a beautiful lodge .

Thank you for taking the time to submit your valued feedback. We are delighted that you have enjoyed your stay in Grizedale Lodge. We have noted your comments regarding seating in the property and will look into this with a view to making it more comfortable for everyone. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and look forward to welcoming you back, should you decide to visit again in the future. Property Owner

A very clean, comfortable and spacious lodge. Nicely decorated for Christmas. On arrival there was complementary Wine, After Eights and Freddo Chocolates. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone who is looking for a break/ holiday.

Thank you for your kind comments, Mr Harrison and for highly recommending Grizedale Lodge. This is a fantastic place to stay, the owner takes great pride in providing superb accommodation for guests to enjoy and the little extra touches make all the difference. Great Lodge spotlessly clean nice welcome pack only negative a humming sound on a night possibly from someone's hot tub permeated the lodge making the main bedroom difficult to sleep in

  • "Myself my mum and my gran stayed here back in October 2021 for 1 week."

The cottage is amazing and has everything you could ask for and more. The only down side to the cottage (Shower room) was that there zero support in the cottage for anyone Old/disabled such as no support railing in the Shower room which made things difficult for my gran. But apart from that the cottage was brilliant. They even left treats for my dog Jill who loved her stay very much.

Thank you for your valued feedback. We are happy to note that you were pleased with the lodge and please note for future that this is a non accessible lodge, we apologies if this caused any inconvenience. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "Lovely lodge, clean, modern, only thing for us there was no tv in bedroom which I’m used to, apart from that the lodge was lovely, the restaurant on site was however not up to scratch, it didn’t have much choice on occasions as ran out of stuff ."

Thank you for your comments. We shall pass on your suggestion for a TV in the bedroom to the owners of the lodge to consider - thank you. We shall also pass on your comments relating to the onsite restaurant to the park management for their reference. On a more positive note thank you for letting us know you otherwise had an enjoyable stay at Grizedale Lodge and we hope to welcome you again soon. Property Owner

  • "I had missed that there was no washing machine on the listing, which was a pain on a family walking holiday in damp weather!"

Neighbour’s lodges have hot tubs and we experienced noise very late at night from other residents not adhering to the rules.

Thank you for your feedback. We note your comments regarding the washing machine, we shall look into our web listing and see if we need to make it more noticeable. We are sorry you were disturbed by neighbouring lodges, the lodges are on operation holiday parks and it can get noisy. That said, there is a curfew of 10pm for using hot tubs and everyone is asked to keep noise to a minimum from 10pm onwards. We shall pass this to the park management for their information, this is outside of our control and please accept our apologies. We do hope this did not stop you enjoying your stay at Grizedale Lodge and we do hope you will return. Property Owner

  • "WiFi was off more than it was on."

Beds are very small. Beautifully decorated and perfect location easily accessible, excellent bus services on the door step. Great club house, although they had supply issues during our stay so there was limited choice for food on an evening.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you had trouble with the WiFi, we have reported this back to the owner who is going to look into it and would like to send on her apologies. Having said that, we are pleased to hear you did enjoy your stay and we do hope you will return. Property Owner

Wine and chocolates on arrival was a nice surprise too

  • "Very nice and comfortable lodge."

Most things in almost new condition. The only thing letting it down is the dreadful internet connectivity. Neither the park WiFi nor the one provided within the lodge were good enough to even support basic browsing which was quite frustrating.
