  • "Very well equipped and spacious caravan-lodge."

Liked the site - not too noisy. When we arrived the incense sticks and plug in air fresheners were overpowering. We put them away in a cupboard. Next time I might look for somewhere that does not accept pets; although lodge was clean there was a sense that lots of dogs had been climbing around and shedding hair. Minor niggle - the caravan next door had its balcony dismantled while we were there. Result not very attractive and surprised this was allowed to happen during July.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Pheasant’s Nest. The lodge is pet friendly and is cleaned after each stay. We will pass your comments on to our Housekeeping team to ensure that our high standards continue to be met. Whilst we are sorry to hear that you experienced a small disruption during your stay with the work being done on the park, Limefitt Park is an operational park and we are not responsible for work undertaken. We hope to welcome you back to stay again. Property Owner

  • "We really love the cabin."

Spacious and stylish. Love the hidden ensuite through the walk in wardrobe. The mattresses aren't the most comfortable but I guess it is personal preference. Look forward to coming back sometime.

Thank you for your kind comments. We are so glad to hear that you had a lovely stay at Pheasant's Nest. We are sorry to hear that you found the mattresses to be uncomfortable, however we do find with mattresses that it is down to personal preference. We can confirm the owners have now purchased new mattresses and they are now in the lodge. We look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

  • "The Lodge is fantastic - absolutely lovely."

Ideal for dogs & walks straight from property. Very high standard. Apart from the beds/mattress! I’m not that fussy but I’m sorry the mattress was awful. Other than that can’t fault this and would defo come back again if you have different mattress. Such a shame as you have gone above & beyond in the quality of utensils & decor & furniture. Love the hidden en-suite through the walk-in cupboard.

Thank you for your feedback. We do find comfort to be a personal preference but we will definitely raise your comment with the owners to check the mattress. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused. That said, we are delighted to hear of how much you enjoyed your stay and everything the lodge had to offer. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "Really enjoyed our stay at Pheasants Nest, the property was spotlessly clean with everything that you might need if you are self catering, even a dishwasher, the bedrooms are spacious and the bedding was clean and warm as expected, the only slight niggle is that the the mattresses need updating as they are quite uncomfortable."

There is a spacious balcony with plenty of outdoor seating and is enclosed ensuring that pets can't escape. The location commands a great view of the surrounding hills of Troutbeck and there are plenty of walks from the site. All in all We highly recommend Pheasants Nest rating it 9.5 out of 10 only dropping the half point due to the beds.

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased to hear you had a wonderful stay. We are sorry to hear you found the beds were uncomfortable, we do find mattresses are a very personal preference, however, we will investigate this further and thank you for bringing this to our attention. • "Lovely cosy lodge, really enjoyed our stay."

Lots of storage in the bedroom and was pleasantly surprised about the walk in wardrobe. Only thing that would have improved our stay was a TV in main bedroom.

Thank you for your kind comments, Miss Wilby. We are so pleased to hear you really enjoyed your stay. Noting your suggestion for a TV in the main bedroom, we shall pass this on to the lodge owners for their consideration. Pheasant's Nest is a great place to stay and we hope to welcome you again soon. • "Have stayed in a few lodges on here, this is one of the best, very clean and comfortable, I also like a separate hallway where you can put your coats and shoes when entering the lodge, some of the lodges don’t have that."

Only downside is that the wi fi is very poor, it would benefit greatly by having its own wi fi, but if you’re not bothered about that it’s great. It’s near the end of the road with beautiful views of the fields.

Thank you for your feedback, we are delighted to hear of how much you enjoyed your stay. The WiFi is complimentary and provided by the park. It is completely outside of our control and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. That said, it sounds like this did not impact your stay and you were able to enjoy everything the lodge and the local area had to offer. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back. Property Owner

  • "First stay at pheasants nest."

Lovely lodge, clean and very well maintained . Well equipped. Very comfy sofa and bed, but pillows not fit for purpose (or clean) need replacing. Disappointed that the finishing “home from home” touches were not provided as in other lodges we’ve been to on site. Eg lack of spare toilet roll; liquid soap at all sinks; Washing up liquid bottle had quite literally two squirts in it. Yes 3 dishwasher tablets were provided but for 7 days?? No salt and pepper provided. No small carton of milk or any tea/coffee provided. Which is always a very welcome and much appreciated gesture after a long journey. No spare kitchen bin liners. I could go on ; whilst these may seem little things nowadays people expect them to be provided (& were in other privately owned lodges we’ve stayed in, so I suppose we had come to expect) especially as the cost of hiring the three lodges we’ve booked and stayed in at Limefitt this year has gone up dramatically.

Thank you for your feedback. All your points have been raised directly with the owner who has spoken with the cleaner, the owner is sorry you did not fully enjoy your time in Pheasant's Nest. The owners visit regularly and take great pride in making their lodge a real home away from home and we can confirm the owners have replaced the pillows following your comment. Our lodges are all self-catering and items are provided to get you started, we are sorry you felt this is not enough. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We do hope you will return, Pheasant's Nest is a wonderful lodge with far reaching views which are not to be missed. Property Owner

  • "We stayed in Pheasants lodge for a week in July."

2 x adults and 1 x 16 year old girl. On arrival we were very impressed with all the home comforts and touches. It was super clean and smelt fresh. The lodge is well stocked with pretty much everything you will need. Lots of space and storage too. The outside area was a lovely surprise, it had the sun all day and there was not only a table and chairs to eat outside, but also a nice little sofa set to relax on. It is dog friendly but we decided not to bring our dog last minute as she had been unwell. However, the place is perfect for dogs, the porch is enclosed all the way round and there is plenty of space inside. It didn’t smell of dog at all either. The location was perfect for everything we planned to do. We found it was quite central to our plans. The wifi for the park is not great, this is not the fault of the lodge but the park. However we weren’t bothered as we came away to unplug and enjoy being outside and away from technology. We would recommend the lodge to friends and family. Thanks so much.

  • "Everything was fantastic."

The only downside would be the WiFi, as when booking there was no mention of the WiFi being very poor in fact it was totally unusable and we were only informed by a note when we arrived in our cabin that the WiFi isn’t good. Had we know we would have prepared a little better for our evening entertainment etc.
