  • "We had a lovely stay with our dog and our four year old daughter."

The cabin was much nicer and larger than the photos showed, the outside was just as nice with lots of space and seating. The only criticism of the cabin was that the double bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable but the other beds were all comfy. There is a beautiful marina on site and a small woods to walk dogs and we even managed to see some deer there! We were able to use the swimming pool on site without having to book/pay for additional passes, and there are two play areas for younger kids. The location is also good as you are so close to Windermere and only a short drive to Kendal & Ambleside. Would definitely recommend this place to stay and we would definitely stay again.

Perfect for couples or family’s to stay in. Very Clean and tidy and had a lovely Christmas Tree to get in the festive spirit

  • "Willow Lodge is a lovley comfortable stay away from home."

Set back from the other lodges in an elevated position surrounded by trees made this feel more secluded on a very busy site. The lodge itself was clean and tidy and is more than fully equipped with everything for a great stay. Couldn't reccomend the lodge enough if you want to be near Windermere and within driving distance of most things fabulous location. The site is very busy at times and the club house is nice and I fully reccomend the breakfast.

  • "We have stayed at Willow Lodge last September, some additional outside furniture has been added which is great."

The internal laminate flooring is starting to look tired and is chipped, but apart from that brilliant lodge and will be returning.

  • "Our stay at willow Lodge with four adults and two children was very pleasant."

Well situated on the site with good outside space. Very clean and well equipped. Some simlle improvements needed, like putting bins in the bathrooms, lights in the wardrobes of the two single bedded rooms, because rooms are so dark, and explaining somewhere on the bumf that you need to take your own towels. Lodge well maintained but Floors need renovating, carpet and laminate which are looking tired. Whitecross Bay holiday park where the Lodge is situated is in a great location with good facilities. Only criticism would be the site clubhouse is a bit Blackpooly.

  • "The location of the lodge meant it was quiet, but everything accessible."

It was high up and sheltered by trees, which was great. The holiday park location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed the marina, views were amazing. It is one of our best holidays!

The property listed WiFi but it should be stated only at the clubhouse not at the lodge, I think the outside is a bit tired looking and could do with some attention

  • "Fabulous break, had a wonderful time in lovely accommodation."

The only slight negative feedback was that we couldn't get connected to WiFi, the owners had a decent enough dvd collection to suit all ages though so no major issue. Also I'd strongly advise those wanting to utilise things like kids activities and the swimming pool to phone the site and book in advance as the slots do fill up fast.

  • "We stayed at Willow Lodge with our springer for a week in May."

It was out first holiday taking the dog, but we picked this lodge especially as it had the decking which was all sealed in so the dog could play out without escaping. The lodge was amazing, it was just like being at home. There was everything you could think of in there, we needn't have brought all the little bits like washing up liquid and bin bags as it was fully equipped. There were dvd's, books, games, leaflets. The lodge itself was huge, two reasonable size bedrooms with 2 single beds in each (which we didn't need to use) but these both had TVs in them, and the main bedroom with en suite and small walk in wardrobe was perfect. Everything was clean and tidy, getting the key was simple, the site was well looked after, and there is even a place on site called Deer Park where dogs can run freely. On numerous occasions we were sat in the living area when a deer would appear right outside the lodge, such a wonderful place! We can't wait to return to Willow Lodge, I would definitely take my own pillow next time as the ones provided are very thin but that's no criticism, just personal preference! Such a lovely lodge in a great position on the site, very peaceful and not many cars passing either. Lovely holiday!

  • "Willow Lodge was clean and very well equipped."

It had extras that other holiday cottages haven't provided in the past e.g. a whole weeks worth of dishwasher tablets, hand soap in each bathroom, foil and cling film, washing up liquid etc. There were also games and DVDs. The setting was lovely and peaceful, and well situated to explore the south Lakes. The only slight negative was that the kitchen sink plug kept draining the water from the sink, and there was no washing up bowl, so washing up was a bit tricky (although most things went in the dishwasher). Would highly recommend this lodge.

Everything about the lodge was perfect. Good location on a nice site within easy reach of Bowness and Ambleside. The lodge itself was lovely, and comfortable. It was spotless clean and well maintained. The bbq was brilliant and the seating area . We had everything we needed and more ,it was like home from home . All in all it was a fantastic break and I would certainly recommend to anyone thinking of staying there.

  • "Lovely lodge , warm and cosy and perfect for our weekend catchup with friends."

Didn’t use the site facilities as we were only their for 2 days. Only issue we had was navigating the site in the dark, it was quite difficult to see directions and lodge numbers.

The property

Located in the beautiful scenery of the Lake District, Willow Lodge is a lovely holiday home situated in Troutbeck Bridge, just north of the popular town of Windermere.

This property has three bedrooms easily accommodating larger families or why not enjoy the space to get together with some friends where you can spend the days walking and roaming the Lake District.

Hop up the steps onto the veranda and enter through the front door to reveal a modern and stylish layout, moving straight into the open-plan living area where the whole group can relax together no matter what your preference; whether its lying on the couch watching the TV, sitting at the table with a glass of wine, or being the chef and rustling up a tasty meal!

After all that walking you'll need to relax and ease the achy legs so jump in the bath for a much-needed soak in the comfortably sized bathroom, complete with shower overhead if more speed is required.

The two twin bedrooms both contain two singles and wardrobe space for hanging, while the double room has a little walk in wardrobe and en-suite shower room so make sure you don't pick the short straw for a bit of added luxury.

Out on the decking there's a table and chairs and a gas barbecue for those warmer summer days for you to enjoy the outdoors, as well as space for up to two cars to park off-road.

The village of Troutbeck Bridge can offer you a bustling local pub with excellent food available and a few shops for the essentials, but for more choice you should pop over to Windermere or Bowness on Windermere where you can find a larger selection of bars and pubs with different dining experiences to suit everyone you'll be spoilt for choice.

The magnificent Lake District is England's largest National Park and is home to Scafell Pike - its highest mountain - but don't worry if you're not coming over for the walking because there's still so much it can offer.

Why not hire some bikes and take a ride around the lake with pre-planned routes for all abilities readily available, take a boat trip to take in the scenery from the water, or even better fly a drone over the countryside and document your trip from the air so you won't miss a thing!

Willow Lodge is in a great location for getting to know this amazing part of the world, and who better to share it with than your loved ones.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £80.
