  • "This is in a perfect central location & we managed to park up a couple of streets away for the whole time we were there."

Everything on your doorstep & bus station a short walk away. A bit noisy from the cafe downstairs but would stay again. Thankyou

Thank you for your review, and so glad you enjoyed your stay, the Bubble Tea Cafe is only open day time, normally 11.00 to 18.00, so most guests will not be disturbed as they’ll be out exploring the area. We look forward to you staying again. Property Owner

  • "I found the bed very comfortable and the shower room excellent."

The oven/hob and TV are ultra modern, so if you are hi-tech, you will no doubt love using them. I am not, so it was either eat out or the microwave. The "bistro table" is a small high table, so you have to clamber on to a high chair in order to eat a meal. The TV requires a wi-fi connection. The router is hidden behind the TV. I used my laptop, rather than spend time trying to understand the TV. There is an attic above the flat, which seems to be used as a storage room (perhaps by Mo's Cafe next door). If you are inside during daytime. you will hear the thud of heavy objects being dropped.

Thank you for taking the time to stay at Windermere Central and for sharing your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you found the bed comfortable and enjoyed the shower room facilities. We are sorry that the induction hob and oven proved difficult to use during your stay. Had we been made aware, we would have been more than happy to help guide you through their operation, either by phone or in person. Instructions for the appliances are also provided within the guest information folder. The Smart TV is connected to the property's WiFi and provides access to a wide range of channels and streaming services without guests needing to access the router. However, we appreciate that modern technology is not always intuitive and understand that some guests may prefer to use their own devices. We are also sorry that the bistro-style dining table was not to your liking. In addition to the dining area, trays and occasional tables are available within the apartment to provide alternative options for dining and relaxing. We were a little puzzled by the reference to an attic being used for storage. There is no attic above the lounge and kitchen area, and the small attic space above the bedroom is not used for storage purposes. The noise you experienced may have originated from neighbouring premises, such as the café or nearby shops. As the apartment is located in the heart of the village, some daytime noise from surrounding businesses is occasionally unavoidable. Thank you again for your comments. We value all feedback and are pleased that many aspects of the apartment contributed to an enjoyable stay. Property Owner

  • "The apartment was in a good location, just a short walk from the train station."

It was quite noisy at times as obviously it’s on a main road and above shops. It was nicely furnished, comfortable bed and a good shower. My only suggestion would be more kitchenware as the pans were quite old and unusable,

Thank you for your review, we’re please that enjoyed the benefits of the central location with shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Thank you for mentioning the pans , I’m sorry that it seems they were overlooked being checked. They were new last August 2024, when we started letting the flat. Pleased to say they are now sparkling and like new! Kind regards, The owners Property Owner

  • "There were no instructions on the use of the electric Cooker or the Microwave."

We notified your office on Monday regarding the above, but we were disappointed not to receive an acknowledgement from you or the owners. We also felt that a heavier curtain in the bedroom would provide more comfort.

Thank you for bringing to our attention the need for a heavier curtain in the bedroom, we have now fitted a lined thermal blackout curtain. Our apologies that we were unable to contact you during your stay, thank you for alerting us about the lack of instructions, it was our oversight, and the missing instructions are now in the information folder. We hope to welcome you back in the future -the owners. Property Owner
