"We really enjoyed our stay at The Granary."
We stayed for 3 nights and got a flavour of the local area down to Keswick. My only issue was that it is in an isolated position, no shop or pub within walking distance. We were told about West Coast taxis (Mick), he was helpful advising on places to visit etc.

"Just a lovely place to stay."
Clean , spacious and perfectly placed for the the northern lakes. The welcome pack was the best we’ve ever received. Thank you !
Two potential improvements, one a quick win: suggest you improve WiFi connectivity in the house , think walls and all that but easy to improve. Slightly more difficult is to extend and improve outside area. Both very small issues compared with the quality of the cottage overall that was excellent.

"A well appointed and well located cottage."
Comfortable beds, good showers, a well equipped kitchen and tvs.
Located near to the coast with easy access to the quieter northern lakes.
The genial host is next door and is rightly proud of his property. Thoroughly recommend it.

"Lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean and comfortable."
Well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. It is in the perfect place to visit both the coast and the Lakes.
Hosts friendly and attentive when needed but not intrusive and left us to enjoy our break. We were visiting friends and know the area well but there is lots to see and do around the area.

"Everything was lovely, immaculately clean and fresh."
There were helpful directions. The only thing we had to do was switch on the heating. Downstairs bedroom and next door bathroom/wet room meant that the accommodation was accessible (there is one step up to the front of the property). The downstairs bathroom would be enhanced by a grab rail in the shower and/or a seat for showering. The shower was excellent, however. The fridge would be high for a person using a wheelchair to access. All accommodation was comfortable and welcoming. We found it a lovely area (and were blessed with 3/4 days of beautiful late September weather) and very peaceful. One or two exciting roads on our own route with steep climbs, narrow and sharp turns.
We'd like to thank the owners for a lovely stay.

"This is a beautiful property set in a lovely, quiet village where the only thing we could hear was birdsong."
All of the facilities are great. It isn’t clear, but the downstairs bedroom has a shower room next to it which is effectively a wet room, but lovely looking. And although it isn’t en-suite, it is separated by a door from the kitchen, so is completely private. Really suitable for someone with limited mobility. Would definitely visit again.

"Comfortable, well equipped cottage."
Spotlessly clean. Easy parking. Quiet location. Good centre for the coast, Cockermouth and Carlisle. Best to approach the property by driving through the village so there is a shorter section of narrow road to navigate.

"A lovely holiday home which was a great base for our first holiday in The Lakes."
Two small suggestions 1) net curtains on the front facing windows would offer additional privacy. 2) WIFI coverage was reasonable but a little slow, possibly arrange for the holiday home to have its own WIFI supply?. But we'd definitely stay here again thanks

The layout of the property would of been perfect if we had bought an older parent with us.
Loved the nearby farm and listening to all of tge birds was just perfect.

"Lovely property."
Very well maintained, it looked very new, absolute nothing was worn or grubby. So impressed with all of the amenities. The bottle of wine and cake that were left for us were particularly appreciated.
The thing that put this so high in my estimation was the the cleanliness and attention to detail. Whoever is in charge of housekeeping/cleaning are an absolute credit to themselves!
Three bedrooms and three bathrooms made life so much easier than trying to share.
One thing that might be a small problem to anyone with a large dog is that there isn’t a garden as such, there’s a small patio area at the front of the property. Our dog is very small so it was fine for us. There are lots of walks in the immediate vicinity though.
The Stag Inn is a couple of miles away and serves very good food, we ate there every evening. Reasonably priced and a huge selection of gins and whiskeys. lovely staff.
We didn’t find anywhere else close by that served food.
There is a well stocked Co-op in Prospect but the nearest larger supermarket seemed to be Lidl in Wigton.
The property is about 75 minutes north of Lake Windermere. It’s in a convenient place for Carlisle or areas further North.
If I ever returned to this area I would definitely stay again.
Thanks for the great report there are supermarkets 4 miles away from the property in Maryport and there are bar meals available in Maryport
