The property was faultless the outside was a disgrace it was supposed to be dog friendly but there was absolutely no where safe to let my dog out no enclosed garden and what garden there was was totally over grown the grass area in and out of the garden had not been mowed for i would think 2 to 3 months and in the description there was no mention of the yapping sausage dog opposite in the end we had had enough and came home early never again hotels are the way to go

After a 4 hour drive to visit my son for our early Christmas we did struggle to find it in the dark but the people in the village were lovely and helpful.

On entering we were happy with the house itself. It's a good standard of finish and plenty of room for our needs. I had read previous reviews and although cooking a Xmas dinner in an oven that doesn't close properly was a challenge I can get over that. I did however struggle without tongues in the "fully equipped kitchen". I do feel this needs revising. Our comfort was met in the living and dining area but alas sleep was not easy. A 4 night stay was reduced to 3 as my only option was to leave a day early due to the mattress. On every bed. It was discussed with the owner who could have been defensive and "off" but he accepted that it just was not comfortable. I was told the mattresses would be changed. I hope for the next people staying this is true.
