  • "Clean well set out caravan."

Quiet site with the caravan located on the edge with views of the fells. On site parking. About 20mins by foot to Cockermouth. Lovely walk up Watch Hill from the site. There were a couple of minor issues which were dealt with promptly by the owner. There appear no longer to be a bar on the site which is a shame but there are bars/pubs within a short walk.

  • "Very nice clean comfortable caravan in a great location."

Caravan is on a nice quiet peaceful site with lovely scenery from the decking. Easy walk into town on nice quiet road. The owner is very helpful and sent us a message on our arrival day letting us know entry procedures and that he's available if we needed anything. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely go back.

The decking helped with the dogs, not overlooked. Great shower just what you need after days out walking and sightseeing. Short walk into Cockermouth itself, easy access to surrounding walks with small car journey. Contact with owner is easy should there be any issues. Site is clean and friendly. We will definitely be coming back. Thank You for having us

COCKERMOUTH

Bassenthwaite Lake 7 miles; Keswick 13 miles.

The small country market town of Cockermouth is situated in the quiet north-western part of the Lake District, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt area, yet only 13 miles from Keswick. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworth’s Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust. Cockermouth offers a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, but (of course) the main attraction of the area is the beautiful scenery and excellent walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water.
