Description
6 Riverdale is a beautiful, character terraced cottage superbly situated in the centre of Bainbridge, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The cottage was previously part of a cottage hotel and has been made into a lovely holiday home.
Bainbridge is a pretty village with its green, the river Bain, several shops and tea room.
The cottage features spacious, well-positioned living areas, perfect for a family of six looking to explore the countryside.
Three large bedrooms are situated on the lower ground floor, a king-size with en-suite, a double with exposed beams, and a twin, along with a bathroom.
The spacious, open-plan living area has a sitting area with woodburning stove and Smart TV, a dining area, and a modern kitchen, the 'U' shape living and kitchen space allows for guests to be together, but separate in the sitting area.
You'll also have access to your own private suntrap, nestled within the pretty enclosed garden; enjoy a glass of wine in a tranquil environment, or a coffee once you've awoken.
Easing your self-catering escape, head to the village centre, where you can dine out at Sycamore Restaurant, offering British staples, enjoy afternoon tea at Cornmill Tea Room, or simply grab the essentials at the local Post Office and butchers.
The backdrop of 6 Riverdale will be ideal for outdoor fans, surrounded by footpaths and walking trails, throughout the National Park, whilst Aysgarth Falls, a triple flight waterfall, sets the perfect scene for a relaxing stroll.
The village of Askrigg is within easy reach, along with famous walks and cycle rides, including around Semerwater with its inland beach, and waterfalls, and the Roman road on return, can be accessed straight from the door.
Fishing is available nearby by arrangement and there is a riding centre less than a mile south of the village.
By car, venture to Dales Countryside Museum, displaying some fascinating stories of the surrounding community, enjoy a family-fun day at Bolton Castle, including a falconry experience, or take in the beautiful surroundings of Hardraw Force Waterfall just beyond Hawes, and Middle Falls.
Threshfield Quarry is also a must-see beauty spot, whilst Richmond Obelisk, and Ulshaw Bridge share architectural history, dating back to medieval times.
Relish in the North Yorkshire countryside, by choosing 6 Riverdale as your abode.

What guests are saying
Had a very enjoyable week in 6 Riverdale, which we found to be cosy and comfortable, with the added bonus of private parking.
The cottage is well equipped/ clean and spacious, situated in a pretty village, ideally located for exploring the Dales. It is a shame that the hotel/pub is now closed, as is an historical and central hub for the local community and visitors. Milk and welcome basket much appreciated and needed after a long journey.
No support for any issues.
Boiler and toilet broke and could not find any contact numbers. Finally on last night found a number for the housekeeper in an old notebook by chance. No hot water was not fun for 6 people who had been wild swimming. Not being able to flush a toilet was a big inconvenience for 6 people. Mood and damp in both bathrooms and bedrooms had a damp smell. Garden very underwhelming, bare mud rather than grass not good for dogs or kids. Generally very tired looking place.
The cottage is good, but the local pub is closed and likely to remain so for some time.
This may be disappointing for guests expecting a nearby pub.
