Description

This magnificent, detached stone farmhouse is situated on the outskirts of Bashall Eaves, close to the town of Clitheroe in the Forest of Bowland AONB.

With glorious views of open fields glimpsed from every window, and big bright rooms offering comfortable accommodation, it is the perfect holiday home for friends, families and couples exploring the Ribble Valley.

The property is surrounded by large, lawned gardens where you can dine in the sunshine when the weather is warm.

Inside, the rooms are filled with elegant antique furniture and shelves upon shelves of books, whilst the hallways are hung with wonderful portraits of the owner’s ancestors.

There are three beautifully-decorated bedrooms, the master of which has a splendid super king-size bed, a sitting area complete with winged armchair and chaise-lounge, and a wonderful en-suite shower and roll-top bath.

The second room has flexible zip/link beds with a large bright en-suite shower room.

There is a single four-poster in the third bedroom and downstairs, in the study, is a double sofa bed.

As well as the two en-suites, there is also a second bathroom on the first floor and a wet room downstairs.

The kitchen is amazing, with plenty of work surfaces, a double oven and a large fridge/freezer so you can stock up and enjoy cooking with delicious local produce, purchased from the local farm shop.

There is a woodburning stove in one corner and two dining tables; one in the centre of the kitchen and the other framed by windows on every side, providing lovely country views.

The sitting room has comfy seating set around an open fire and bookcases filled with interesting reads.

It also provides access to a study where you will find a sofa bed and a writing table - the perfect spot to pen your postcards home.

There is an excellent gastro pub a short walk up the road, where you can enjoy dinner or just visit for a drink without worrying about designating a driver home.

The location is perfect for walkers, so pull on your walking boots and climb Pendle Hill and Longridge Fell.

For the real adventurers, you can even trek to the centre of Great Britain at the famous Whitendale Hanging Stones.

For less strenuous days out you can always visit Browsholme Hall, Whalley Abbey, or explore the farm and gift shops at Bashall Barn.

An excellent holiday base for exploring the Ribble Valley!

Myself and a few girl friends stayed at this gorgeous cottage.

Set in a lovely and quiet location with views of the beautiful Lancashire countryside with plenty of wildlife on the doorstep, it was idyllic. The cottage was very comfortable and spacious with the perfect mix of traditional decor and modern facilities. Located a short walk from the local pub, we enjoyed a nice pint. Its only a short drive to Clitheroe, which has everything you need including the Bowland Beer hall.

This property is far better than the pictures and description.

We absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone. Lots of history and antiques to be fascinated by! Wonderful

This was my groups second stay.

I meet up with college friends usually twice a year and we returned to this beautiful area as two still live in Lancashire while I now live in the Midlands. The weather was very kind to us and we walked locally most days. The cottage is well equipped and the bedrooms very comfortable. We had a lovely time again in this beautiful part of the country . We ate in mostly but out during long walks at local pubs. The house is spacious and we had a very comfortable stay yet again. I wouldn’t mind going back again in the future as it’s a wonderful place to stay.
