Description

Damson Barn is simply a beautiful barn conversion in a stunning countryside location, just outside the popular town of Kirkby Lonsdale and set within a working farm.

With its own hot tub, sunny patio and peaceful setting, there is no better place to spend time with the family.

Over two floors, the barn boasts a light, airy sitting room with log burner, comfy sofas and French doors out onto the patio and garden.

The kitchen is delightful and well-equipped, including a collection of appliances, and underfloor heating to warm those cooler nights.

The dining area looks over the patio and garden, and benefits from patio doors which can be opened on a sunny evening bringing the garden into the house.

Upstairs discover the two bedrooms, one with a super king-size double bed and an en-suite shower room, whilst the second features a superking size that is zip/link and can be twin beds.

There is also a lovely family bathroom.

The barn boasts an open grassy garden and patio with a hot tub in a secluded corner, the perfect place to relax after a day exploring all that the local area has to offer.

Damson Barn forms part of a friendly family working farm where guests can enjoy the day to day farming life, there is also plenty to do locally.

The town of Kirkby Lonsdale is only three miles down the road, guaranteed to keep you busy with local shops and sights to uncover.

Have a quiet walk down to the river past the beautiful church of St Mary’s, pausing to take in ‘Ruskin’s View’ and then potter back along the river to Devils Bridge.

Ingleton is seven miles away, being the gateway to the Dales and then Hawes and Settle.

In the opposite direction is Kendal, the Gateway to the Lakes and Windermere.

All in all, a great Barn to stay on a genuine working farm amongst some of the most beautiful and peaceful countryside in the North West.

We absolutely loved Damson Barn!

We found the cottage to be very well kept and had everything we needed for a comfortable two week holiday. We've never had a hot tub on holiday before and we really enjoyed it. The hosts were amazing and made sure that we had everything we needed. We loved having a tour of the farm. I think you'd have to go a long way to match or better this accommodation. We would love to return here!

If i could give 11 out of 10 I would.

This place was absolutely amazing. Will miss opening up the curtains and seeing the fields full of sheep and the 2 out the back, just not the same opening up the curtains at home and seeing more houses and cars.. Real shame the holiday ended but definitely planning on heading back.

Wow!

Damson Barn is beautiful; it is located in a rural setting with stunning views from the bedroom windows. Everything you need is there for you. Everything is immaculate; OH, the super king-size bed is AMAZING!!! It is on a working farm, but this is not an issue at all. Katherine and her husband Michael are so welcoming and can not do enough for you. You can get hands-on by feeding the lambs and petting their pony 0h and of course their lovely border collie. We had a fabulous stay. It was a shame that the weather wasn't great, but the amazing hot tub is a lovely extra to relax in. Would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely visit again
