Laithe House

We had a lovely week at Laithe House.

The accommodation provided loads of space for our group of 9 adults, 2 under 5s and 2 dogs. The garden is huge and benefits not only from a large trampoline but also a play area and playhouse that the children made full use of as we were fortunate with the weather. Great walks straight from the door for the dogs and the surrounding area was really stunning. The house is well suited for entertaining, and facilities include 3 fridge freezers and 2 wine fridges! We struggled a little bit cooking with the aga as it’s not something we are used to but there is a ‘normal’ oven as well as air fryer and a slow cooker, so it wasn’t really an issue. We could have done with an extra front door key, but I’m probably nit picking here as overall it was a first rate experience. The information on the Sykes site suggests there is just one bathroom on the first floor when in fact we were happy to find two! Would definitely book again.

Our family of 10 stayed at Laithe House for 3 nights for my husband’s 70th birthday celebrations.

We love a party and this was the perfect place . Spacious , luxury fixtures and fittings , comfortable bedrooms . Massive garden with a hot tub, kids climbing area with wendy house , a large trampoline and tennis court . Slight issue with the shower constantly dripping in the main en-suite but didn’t disturb us once the door to the bathroom was closed . Went on a couple of nearby walks but you need to drive if you need to do any grocery shopping. We’ve rented several previous properties so always arrive fully equipped with everything we need . The owner lives next door and was very helpful with any queries. Would definitely recommend this place and may return in the future .

Absolutely stunning 10/10, every inch of this property was absolute luxury with every need you could possibly have taken care of.

What can I say…… I booked this property as a surprise for my wife’s 40th for close family, and it certainly did not disappoint in the slightest.

Everything about this place is amazing and the pictures do not do it justice for the scale of the property. The whole place was spotless, and for such a grand property, it still had that homely feel. With an entertainment area that would rival some high street bars, and a kitchen that was a pleasure to cook in. The grounds again were immaculate and even managed to get a game of tennis in….inbetween dips in the hot tub of course. Without a shadow of a doubt I would stay here again, and wouldn’t bat an eye recommending this to anyone Thankyou so much

Wow this place is amazing.

We had a brilliant time! There were 11 of us and there is so much space, both in the house and the garden. It's actually even better than the photos. It is beautifully decorated with no expense spared. The kids loved the trampoline and the adults loved the hot tub! Everything has been catered for. And the surrounding countryside is beautiful with easy walks from the house itself. Frank was on hand whenever we needed anything and was very helpful. We would love to go again and would highly recommend this beautiful house. Thank you.

Wow, wow, wow what an amazing house.

Gorgeous spaces to relax in, comfy bedrooms, nice decor and incredibly clean. Best holiday let we have ever stayed in. Huge fully equipped kitchen, plenty of dishwashers and fridges for all your food and drinks. Nice walks on your doorstep and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Frank met us on arrival and even took delivery of our Tesco shop as we were stuck in traffic. We would not hesitate to re book again in the future for a friend's or family gathering.

We’ve just returned from another wonderful stay at Laithe House, and somehow it managed to top our last visit.

The weather was absolutely beautiful this time, which meant we could really make the most of everything the property has to offer. The children spent hours on the trampoline and in the playhouse, and we all loved being able to enjoy the tennis court properly in the sunshine — such a rare treat in the UK! The house itself remains just as stunning, cosy, and immaculately kept as we remembered. It has that perfect balance of luxury and warmth that makes you instantly relax the moment you walk through the door. Every detail feels thoughtfully done, and it’s one of those places that genuinely feels special without ever feeling pretentious. What makes Laithe House stand out for us is how well it works for families. The outdoor space is incredible, the setting is peaceful and beautiful, and there’s enough for both adults and children to enjoy without ever needing to leave the property. Another truly memorable stay, and we’re already talking about when we can come back again.

Laithe house is such a beautiful home and had everything we could have possibly needed and more. As a family of 9, adults and older children, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of rooms to use as well as the beautiful garden and hot tub. Perfect family getaway.

Frank was helpful with any queries and we really appreciated the welcome pack. We particularly loved the location at the end of a quiet private road, and with walks directly from the door. Also many great walks in the nearby hills.

Wow, from driving up to the house, the orangery with underfloor heating, the huge master bedroom with fire, the vast grounds with hot tub, beautiful views, entertaining kitchen area with 3 American fridges and 3 dishwashers!

Amazing place.

9 adults a toddler and 2 dogs went for Christmas. The house has everything you need, it's the best property we have been in so far. Frank the owner is lovely and made us feel very welcome. The house is in a beautiful setting and has lots of space. It's very spacious with large outside areas. We loved the hot tub in the evening and the tennis courts too. Would definitely recommend it.

What a beautiful house.

I booked this for a pre Christmas family get together. We have stayed in dozens of houses/ cottages/ lodges over the last few years and I have learnt along the way that you often need to bring along catering extras. At Laithe House everything we could have needed was already provided. We felt so at home here we really didn't want to leave. Thank you to Frank for always being on hand if we had any questions.

The house is as beautiful as the pictures suggest.

Great for relaxing with family and friends. And the location is excellent with so many wonderful walks straight from the house. Plus interesting places to visit nearby eg. Townley Hall when raining or when you fancy a changes from exploring nearby walks, towns, villages. The stay opened my eyes to the beauty that Lancashire has to offer, No shortage of hills and views. And friendly people.

We went for my wife's 60th birthday and it was everything i hoped for and more.

We absolutely loved our stay at Laithe House.

From start to finish this property was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived it was clear that the house is brilliantly suited for a large group — with six bedrooms (plus plenty of bathrooms) and generous living spaces, we never felt on top of each other. The open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge meant we could all cook together, eat together and then spread out into other rooms if we wanted a bit of quiet. One of the real highlights was the hot tub. Nestled in the patio/garden area under a pergola overlooking the lawn and trees, it was a perfect way to wind down in the evenings. The furniture and décor throughout the house were tastefully done. The living rooms felt comfortable yet elegant, the bedrooms well-appointed, and the overall ambience struck a nice balance between stylish and homely. It added that extra bit of luxury without feeling cold or impersonal. Lastly, the host was excellent — friendly, responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. That kind of service always makes a difference. In short: if you’re looking for a countryside retreat that can comfortably handle a big group, has beautiful surroundings, a hot tub for relaxing, and hosts who genuinely care, this one’s hard to beat. We’ll happily stay again and recommend it to anyone.

We had a lovely stay as a family to celebrate my husbands 50th & our 25th anniversary.

The house was perfect for this occasion. Plenty of space. All the rooms were on the larger size, Several rooms with sofas so we all had space to chill & chat with each other. The hot tub to watch the world go by with a glass of champagne was another bonus. Then a little bit of exercise on the tennis court. Great walking trails behind the property for getting some fresh air & walking the dog. Perfect weekend for all. Thank you!

What a fantastic time we had celebrating a family birthday in such a luxury well equipped house!

Just loved the space and outdoor area. Hot tub and tennis courts an added bonus! Very comfy beds! Received a warm welcome from Frank and we enjoyed our welcome hamper! Was a privilege to stay at this amazing relaxing property. We will return! Only negative was Wi-Fi dropped in and out!

After a lovely welcome from Frank, my friends and I enjoyed an amazing few days at this stunning property.

We were a group of 9 celebrating a big birthday. We ate in all three nights. It was a great space for us all to prepare and cook food! The open plan kitchen, dining and orangery lounge/bar was perfect for everyone to be together, whether cooking or relaxing. And had enough space for a bit of dancing! The grounds are truly beautiful and peaceful, and the hot tub was well used! We are already discussing making it an annual trip! Thanks to Frank and Caroline for the warm welcome and memorable weekend.

Wow, what a place!

Laithe House is a spacious property and very luxurious. We stayed as a family with 3 generations and all loved it every minute of our stay. The open entertaining area with its bar and massive TV was most popular, leading out onto the gorgeous garden, extensive patio and the hot tub. There were also a number of beautifully furnished lounges to escape to. Thank you to Frank for the warm welcome! We can highly recommend and hope to stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage last week.

The home was in an ideal location, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. Frank, our host, was incredibly helpful and welcoming, which really made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage itself was incredible and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We’d happily stay again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay.

As we entered the property, we were speechless with how beautiful the house was!

Frank and Caroline both were friendly hosts who were always quick and available to answer questions and support us. They allowed us to check out later and this was really helpful especially as we had children with us. It was the perfect family home and we had the best time. It was very clean and tidy. Would highly recommend others to go and make wholesome memories there. Thank you again Frank and Caroline!

The property is stunning and spacious. There were 10 adults and 2 children in our party and we had more than enough space. The comfy Kitchen, dining and living area were great for our evening of drinks and food. The beautiful outdoor space was fantastic too.
