  • "Impressive decor and high quality finish throughout."

    Hot tub, pool table and open plan layout were perfect for gatherings. Stunning location in the middle of the three peaks so amazing walking on your doorstep and with great views of ribblehead viaduct. No one else around meaning very private too - aside from the very cute lambs in the fields around. Great stay thank you.

  • "Spent a wonderful week with the family."

    The location and peaceful surroundings are just superb. The cottage is very relaxing with four decent en-suite bedrooms. If we had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to put a WiFi extender to the Shepherds Hut so that it could be used for work. Overall a stunning place to stay - we loved it!

    Owner was lovely and very helpful, left a lovely welcome hamper. would highly recommend for those after a lodge that gives you the best of both for location and luxury. Where the location was ideal for going out for walks and close enough to local towns/villages for pubs and shops.

Prepare delicious home-cooked meals in the spacious kitchen/diner ready to enjoy at the dining table as you recount the day’s adventures over a chilled bottle of wine, courtesy of the wine cooler.

If the weather is nice, fire up the barbecue and dine alfresco, followed by a dip in the bubbling hot tub and toasting marshmallows over the fire pit.

About the location

CHAPEL-LE-DALE

Ingleton 4.4 miles; Hawes 12.5 miles; Settle 14.7 miles.

Situated in the heart of the famous Three Peaks, Chapel-le-Dale is a small hamlet consisting of the Ribblehead Viaduct, a railway station, a famous pub and a scattering of small farms and dwellings. The surrounding countryside of Ribblesdale is magnificent, offering the ideal location for fell walking, with the famous Three Peaks Walk, Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough offering some of the most challenging walks in the country. The famous Settle to Carlisle Railway passes through the hamlet and has some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. The Ribblehead Viaduct, completed in 1870 is a magnificent structure and the sight of a steam train passing across the top is one not to be missed. The attractive village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat. The centre of the village is pretty with narrow and winding streets, centered on a tiny market place. The village's well known White Scar Caves (a short walk away) are open to the public and have a dazzling display of stalactites and stalagmites, caverns and a huge underground lake. The Ingleton Water Falls Trail is a short walk downstream. Natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Hawes and Malham, as well as Kirkby Lonsdale and beautiful Dentdale. The entire Yorkshire Dales National Park is on the doorstep; Lake Windermere in the Lake District is 40 miles away.
