The Croft

Another great stay in the Croft.

Well presented and equipped property. Very comfortable for a couple, perfect location for us as it's near to family in the area. Thoughtful touches of milk wine and biscuits were very much appreciated after a long drive. Thank you Debbie for this kindness.

Very friendly host and the place was spotless. Had everything I needed. Great place to work as was lovely and peaceful too.

A bit more info on the recycling bins - quite different to Wiltshire, apparently.

The oven was a mystery the first night but we got it sorted. Just not clear enough instructions in the manual. Head butting on the ceilings first couple of days. Otherwise, as the last time we stayed, excellent accomodation and comfort - a haven to return to at the end of a day with the grandchildren! Will certainly be on the list for future stays.

Perfect property, well equipped, tastefully decorated and very very comfortable.

This was the second year we have stayed here and have already booked for Christmas 2024 it's such a perfect place to stay when visiting relatives in a nearby village. Cannot praise it highly enough!

Perfect place for a break.

Comfortable and homely, my brother in law says he could happily live here.

The Croft is a lovely place to stay to explore the West Pennine Moors.

The cottage is set amongst farmland but it isn't far to walk to get onto Anglezarke Moor and even onto Winter Hill and Rivington. We also walked along the Leeds Liverpool Canal which isn't very far away either. The cottage is very comfortable, furnished to a high standard and very modern. We cooked for ourselves on all but one of our evenings there and had everything we needed. Aldi is nearby for shopping and further into Chorley there are other supermarkets and shops. We ate at the Dressers Arms in Wheelton and had really nice food and the pub is very good - very busy. All in all, a great week and we would be happy to go there again. Thanks to the hosts for their hospitality.

Peaceful and a beautiful location.

I have stayed several times now and each time perfect.

Spotless, warm & comfortable, and the tea, coffee, milk & biscuits are also appreciated. The icing on the cake? discovering M&S Food Hall less than five miuntes by car away! Many thanks

Lovely property and host but i chose to leave soon after arrival due to noise and disruption from the adjacent property that was let to a large number of people for that weekend .

Perfect holiday accomodation in a rural setting.

Very peaceful and warm. Loved the kitchen space, furniture, shower and very comfortable bed and linen. Really spoilt with the location, close to Rivington and Anglezark for great walks. Visiting from Australia and will return!

I stayed at The Croft during a visit from Australia.

It was in a fabulous location surrounded by beautiful scenery. The accommodation was very well equipped, had luxurious bedding, and the host had gone the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. I actually extended my stay as I felt so at home. The photographs do not do it justice. Thank you Debbie for making me feel welcome

Perfect place, accommodation was spotless and eveything you needed was provided for a very comfortable stay.

Information was clear for a seemless arrival and departure. Thank you for the milk etc so handy for a short stay. Loved it and will be returning.

Steps were difficult as my husband had recently had a knee rreplacement and although they can be seen on the photos they are quite narrow and steep.

Lovely cottage and plenty of room for a couple, the weather was far to hot so we didn’t do as much walking as we would have liked.

The guests in the property next us had a dog that barked quite a lot and we had to endure a football being kicked about on the field most days whilst sitting outside. Visited Southport pier and Formby beach, found a lovely restaurant/pub and had a delicious gluten free meal would definitely recommend, they are part of a group called Brunning and Price.

Our second visit to The Croft was excellent as was our first.

This time we particularly enjoyed the lovely private garden area and bbq- perfect on a warm Summer evening. We look forwards to returning later this year.

Well equipped and comfortable accommodation in superb location.

Hosts very friendly and helpful. Pictures on line don't do it justice. The private garden area has been developed and there is comfy seating to catch the sun all day. Plus good BBQ and wind break.

The accommodation is to an excellent standard and in a great location with lovely countryside views. Perfect for exploring the nearby area. We have already booked to return!

Flat was lovely, well maintained and clean on arrival.

Some nice touches by the owner leaving some milk, biscuits and wine. The flat is kept in some lovely grounds away from the mean road, giving us the peace and quiet we needed for our week away. Having said that it is also close enough to a main town to get amenities. All in all a great find.

Lovely rural location but only a ten minute drive into town.

The apartment was well furnished to a high standard. The kitchen area was lovely and bright with all the utensils needed for a self catering holiday The bedroom was roomy with a comfy bed. Good quality bedding provided The bathroom is very modern, clean and bright Debbie was a wonderful host and was always on hand if needed We would not hesitate to stay here again
