What guests are saying
Had a lovely stay at Bank House.
5 of us were there for the 3 peaks challenge. Property is a great location for an easy drive up to the viaduct (where we started) and also perfectly placed if you are there to visit Ingleton or any of the surrounding areas. The house was ideal for our needs. Parking was a bit of a faff but I cant blame the property owner for that. Its out of their control and twice we managed to get one of the cars parked practically out front. At the end of the day its a village setting and what's a little walk to a car when you're there to see the countryside anyway? The house really was lovely. The bottle of wine and coffee pods left on the dining table were a welcome site after a long drive. The house was well furnished, cosy and had everything we needed. We didn't make much use of the kitchen as we were out most of the time but it looked like it would have been perfectly capable of coping with a big cook up. Great setting for a break with friends or family. Only negative was 3 of us smashing my heads on a couple of the low ceilings but that's also hardly anyone's faults but our own. Tall people take note. Next time I go up that way with family it will be on the list to see if its available again.
Comfortable property in an excellent location for climbing 3 peaks or doing the waterfall trail.
Lovely outside space for relaxing and good supply of board games and books. Play station was a clear winner with my son. Unfortunately property is advertised as having WC & basin in the cloakroom which it clearly didn’t. Therefore had to use family bathroom up some rather steep stairs. Was an issue for us as we had elderly parents who struggled to do this multiple times.
No spatula for frying plan No plug for main bath making it inoperable Nowhere to put toiletries in either shower Lounge needs a reading light Lock on garden gate does not operate Gate between the property and next door is not secure.
On street parking is very difficult and limited. Gates between back gardens means garden not secure Main bathroom has frosted window but neighbours behind can see guests on the toilet even during the day - ensure blind is down at all times. Many shops/bars closed Mon, Tues and Wed Number of empty shops in village Three Horseshoes and Craven Heifer closed down Whilst not perfect, the property does have some attractive features such as a large TV and is extremely well situated.
