  • "This was the perfect house and location for our family group celebrating an important milestone."

    It was ideal for all ages. Every member of the family felt relaxed, like a home from home. The bathroom provision was excellent, making life very easy for a mixed group including teen-agers! Having an outdoor space for eating, bar-b-q, and relaxed chatting over drinks was a real bonus. We were fortunate enough to have great weather to sit outside, whilst also enjoying the coolness of one of the sitting rooms, which was north- facing , when the temperature climbed to 28C during the heatwave! The property decor is finished to a high standard with every necessary utility, including plenty of cooking utensils, crockery etc for a 12 person group plus baby. Highly recommended for any group looking for spacious, comfortable and highly - specified holiday accommodation.

  • "Beautiful property all furnished and decorated to a high spec."

    We spent a few days at The Oakroyd celebrating my mum’s 80th birthday and it was perfect. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful when we had an issue with the lights. Location is excellent. We will definitely be back for a visit in the future and cannot recommend it highly enough.

  • "We have just had an amazing weekend at The Oakroyd."

    The house is beautiful with all the furnishings and fixtures done to a very high standard. It’s spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The hosts are very friendly and responsive if you need anything. There are plenty of options for food within a short walk. The falls walk is stunning. We highly recommend this holiday home!

  • "The house is absolutely stunning."

    It's so comfortable and spacious, beautifully decorated, and very well equipped. I was lucky enough to be in the first floor bedroom with dressing room and en-suite, and it is fabulous (it was not quite the same going back to my bedroom at home, which doesn't have either!), but all of the bedrooms are lovely. And the most important thing, it is spotlessly clean. We would all love to go back again. I would like that bedroom for a week next time.

    Oakroyd was a wonderful holiday home ,fitted and maintained to the highest standard, above and beyond our expectations.The owners were quick to respond to any requests or queries.We hope to return for another holiday to this beautiful house in a wonderful part of the country.There was lots to do, fitter members enjoyed the 3 peak challenge and other great hikes .The grandparents could enjoy the fabulous scenery, travel on the scenic Settle to Carlisle train, visit a National Trust property and enjoy numerous cafes in the nearby attractive towns and villages .

    It felt as if we were the first people to stay there after an exclusive refit. Every item in the house is of the highest quality and it is obvious that much thought had been put into the planning of the decor and contents of each room. It was an absolute delight to come back to the house at the end of each day.

  • "Everything about our stay at the Oakroyd was fabulous."

    The house is very comfortabe with all fixtures, fittings and equipment provided to a very high standard. The communication and service provided by Phil and Beth was also first class. It was the perfect place for six siblings plus partners to celebrate a 60th birthday. Guests also enjoyed the village amenities with the pottery shop, the village outdoor swimming pool and the Italian restaurant La Tavernetta deserving a special mention.

  • "3 of our family met for a week staying in Oakroyd."

    There were 9 of us, ages ranged from 14 to 85. All ages were delighted with the range of facilities, high level of quality throughout and care taken to ensure an excellent experience. We would recommend Oakroyd for it's location, spacious rooms and high quality throughout. The village has lots to offer and considering we were there at the busiest time of the year the whole area was beautiful and peaceful. Best holiday for a long time.

    Spacious, comfortable with excellent modern facilities. We were so grateful for the use of the drying/boot room after the rainy days. Extremely well equipped kitchen.   • "As previous reviews we found the Oakroyd exceeded our expectations on every level."

    It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and its position in the lovely village of Ingleton gave easy access to so many local amenities. It was perfect for our family get together despite an age range of 6 months to 67 years. The sun shone all week for us which was wonderful and my 6 year old grandson was delighted to make use of Mario Kart which was the icing on the cake for him. Thank you so much for a wonderful weeks holiday.

  • "Absolutely incredible place to stay."

    The high tech, modern accommodation was perfect for our stay with friends. The location is nice too with walking distance to a few cute shops and co-op. The wayerfall walk is worth the £11 each in our opinion. The owner was great on the communications and really lovely. The welcome food basket also when down very well. Thank you. We can not wait to come back!!

  • "We have just had an amazing family weekend in the Oakroyd."

    We were celebrating 2 birthdays and our choice of venue could not have been better. The house has been decorated and furnished not only to an extremely high standard, but also with impeccable taste. We stay in holiday homes regularly but to our shame are not often moved to write reviews, usually because there have been a few niggles. Not so at the Oakroyd, not only were all bedrooms luxurious without exception, but we have never seen such a well appointed kitchen with every modern appliance and generous storage space. The welcome pack was much appreciated especially by hungry children on our arrival. Thank you.

  • "Our long-weekend stay was everything we wished it to be, from the perfect fitted kitchen to the top notche bathrooms and ensuites."

    The only drawback was that there wasn't enough room in either of the beautiful lounges for the whole party to sit on comfy seats, but it wasn't too much of a problem. We would definitely recommend this property and found the owners pleasant and helpful when we spoke to them. One thing which would have been useful would be written guide to what to do when leaving the property regarding stripping beds etc.

    Spacious and high quality fixtures and furnishings, and everything you could want and need in the kitchen cupboards! House was spotless when we arrived and there was a lovely welcome pack of goodies and milk in the fridge provided by the owners. Perfect accomodation for a family get together.   • "Fantastic well equipped house with every mod con available."

    Plenty of room with a large open plan kitchen. Ideal for our Christmas stay. House decorated really well and a wonderful welcome pack ful of festive goodies was a lovely touch. Great communication with owners too. Beds exceptionally comfortable and its obvious throughout the house that everything has been carefully considered. Ingleton is a lovely village with all amenities close by. Great location for coast, the lakes and Lancaster. Would highly recommend.

  • "The pictures of this house do not do it justice, it is INCREDIBLE!"

    Perfectly laid out for a large group and the spec of the whole house is impeccable. It is in easy reach of Ingleton Falls and a short drive to Kirby Lonsdale too. I would definitely recommend this house, its is simply beautiful

  • "The house is beautiful and spacious and very well appointed."

    It is newly refurbished to a very high standard and provides a superb kitchen with excellent appliances and utensils, luxury modern bathrooms and tastefully decorated bedrooms with lovely soft pillows and duvets for extra comfort. The two lounges allow for different choices to suit range of guests. The garden is well designed with a table and seating and a barbecue which sadly we didn’t get to use because of inclement weather . We have no hesitation in recommending this fabulous house.

    From the moment we arrived, it was clear that everything in the cottage was brand new and meticulously clean.
