Here there is an island with bar stools, and a large dining table for entertaining and indulging in hearty meals.
There is a handy utility to take care of your washing, with storage for coats and shoes and access to the enclosed rear garden and outbuilding.
The front sitting room continues the characterful opulence of the dining space, adorned with tasteful decor and sporting Chesterfield sofas and a Smart 4K TV.
The rear sitting room boasts a plush, L-shaped sofa and a large OLED Smart 4K TV with a Dolby Atmos soundbar, to give that cinematic experience, a games console with a selection of games and a chest full of board games complete the entertainment on offer.
From here, bi-fold doors provide easy access to the patio and garden, with ample seating for all the party, the ideal place for alfresco dining and socialising.

The six bedrooms all have stylish decor and storage, as well as a Smart 4K TV in each, the first floor offers the first three bedrooms, each super-king-size, two with en-suites, and one with the added luxury of a lounge/dressing room.
The second floor reveals three further bedrooms, all king-size, two of which can set up as twins on request, one bedroom again has the luxury of being a suite with a lounge/dressing room and an en-suite.
This marvellous property is perfectly located at the end of Main Street in Ingleton, only a short stroll from everything the charming village has to offer.
Ingleton is ideally set up for those self-catering needs, having two well stocked local convenience stores within easy walking distance as well as an array of village shops.
An award-winning deli/farm shop is less than a mile away on the A65 or you can continue to the Booths supermarket in Kirkby Lonsdale, a 15-mins drive.
The village boasts an impressive variety of pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, and takeaways, these include Mason’s Freehouse, The Wheatsheaf, Peaks and Troughs, Ingleton Chippy, and the award winning The OPO Bar, to name a few!
The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, a year-round attraction with spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery, including the stunning Thornton Force Waterfall, starts and ends in the village centre.
Activities on offer in the village itself include a children’s bike track, indoor climbing wall, play area, and an outdoor swimming pool (seasonally heated).
Just a short drive away is White Scar Cave, the longest show cave in Britain and the Ribblehead Viaduct.
The adventurous can gear up for a day of outdoor pursuits at Saaig Outdoors, a local company that specialises in group and family bookings.
There is so much to be explored in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and the property is also within reach of the seaside at Morecambe and Heysham, the historic city of Lancaster, and the Lake District National Park.

Gorgeous house with absolutely everything you could need for a luxury and very comfortable getaway.
All mod cons and spotlessly clean and tidy. There were 12 of us aged from 14 to 80 and everyone had plenty of space to do their own thing but roomy enough for us to all get together round the table for dinners too. The carpets are luxurious and the beds super comfortable. The underfloor heating downstairs was lovely. The kitchen had everything you could need. We made use of the laundry, and were impressed by the garden wet room too. The kids loved that Netflix was on all the TVs! The EV charger was very handy and easy to use - the owners were very helpful and answered my texts immediately when I needed a bit of guidance (I am technically challenged - it wasn’t really difficult!). The owners were also very helpful, splitting one of the beds into a twin for us, and left us a very nice welcome basket of goodies - thank you! Great location too - there’s the waterfall walk that you can do straight from the house, White Scar caves and Ribblehead viaduct not far away, Morecambe (40 mins away) and many other lovely places. Ingleton is also a lovely village with lots of nice shops and cafes - I highly recommend Seasons Bakery (only 5 min walk). We had a fantastic week celebrating my dad’s 80th birthday and would love to go back again soon.
The Oakroyd is a stunning property and would recommend to anyone.
Has everything you would need, was spotless, and in pristine condition. On a personal note, it is not a house suitable for a disabled person who has difficulty in walking and climbing stairs. Although there is a downstairs toilet in the outside building, it would be better to have a downstairs toilet and possible bedroom on the ground floor. Otherwise the house can’t be faulty, so much so we have booked for next year - thank you Helen and Phil
I have just returned from a week in Ingleton North Yorkshire staying with eleven family members in The Oakroyd.
This was the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Everything was superb, from the beautiful rooms, the decor, the top quality furnishings and fittings and the outdoor area. We will definitely be returning.
