Description

Forest of Bowland AONB.

Bentham 2.9 miles.

Lanshaw House, a three-bedroom detached house in Lowgill Lancashire is the perfect place for a family or group of friends to enjoy the countryside and get an authentic taste of England.

Enjoying views of the countryside and off-road parking, you'll be able to get out into nature whenever you like and take in the scenery from the comfort of the property's own patio area.

Arriving at the cottage, four steps up lead you into the kitchen/diner, home to an AGA cooker, a dishwasher, a window seat, and dining seating for the whole family.

Character features continue through the property and into the sitting room, which is furnished with a TV and a woodburning stove.

Finishing off the ground floor is a handy space with a washing machine and tumble dryer where you can freshen up your clothes, and a ground-floor shower room, fitted with a walk-in shower.

Make your way upstairs, where you will find another bathroom with a freestanding bath and a walk-in shower, perfect for a long soak after a day of walking.

When it's time to rest, the first and second bedrooms are magnificent super-king rooms with zip and link beds, which means you can sleep how you want - whether together or apart, while the third bedroom is a snug single room with a beautiful outlook of the countryside.

Outside, enjoy the garden which has a gravelled area and a picnic bench that provides a serene and restful atmosphere.

The convenient location of the property means you are central to Lancashire, Cumbria, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park; but if you want to stay more local, the nearby Bentham is a picturesque town home to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, which is a popular attraction for tourists; the trail is a four-mile loop that takes hikers through some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the area.

Further afield, Morecambe rests on the Lancashire coast, located on the estuary of the River Lune and is bounded to the north by the Cumbrian mountains.

The town was once a thriving seaside resort and is now a popular tourist destination with attractions including Lancaster Castle, Happy Mount Park, and Lancaster City Museum.

If you want a day of walking, bookended with a delicious meal in a country pub, be sure to spend a day in the glorious Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Lanshaw House is a beautifully presented property for a memorable break with loved ones.

What a wonderful cottage!

We stayed 2 weeks in September and enjoyed every minute. The house is very cosy and the views are fantastic. Sitting in the window seats looking into the wonderful landscape slows you down and you feel peaceful and calm. The bedrooms are cosy with very comfy beds. After a couple of times we mastered cooking with the AGA and made fantastic stews and an award-winning roasted chicken. (You must try the meat from the little butcher in High Bentham, very high quality!) As a nice side effect the AGA warmth the whole cottage. Of course the area is ideally for hiking and we went for several wonderful walks. In the second week we had severe problems with our car and Ian (the owner) was so very supportive and helped us to find a garage to have it fixed, so that we actually were able to drive back home to Germany after the two weeks. But, believe us, we didn't want to go and we will come back for sure! Manuela and Thomas

Gorgeous cottage, situated in a wonderful area.

The Host Ian, was so helpful and kind. Love the bedrooms, bath and all the little extras the cottage had. Can’t wait to return when we get the chance.
