  • "We had the best time."

The property surpassed our expectations - and they were high! It was just pure bliss. Lisa and Phil put so much love and thought into this place to make it feel like a home from home! Even our dog Loki was sad when leaving! He had the best walks following their suggested routes. Thank you, we’ll definitely be back! Winter - done! Now Spring / Summer!

  • "Lisa and Phil have fashioned a wonderfully stylish yet cosy conversion, and staying here for a long early Winter weekend provided us with an incredibly memorable break."

If you want to literally escape from everything then this really is the place to come. The views and vibes up in the hills are incredible, the inside of the Barn and the hot tub are of a very high standard (both from a design and a practicality perspective) and the little welcome touches and incredibly detailed manual show how much care is made to ensure guests have a wonderful time. The heating options, the bathroom facilities and the kitchen are all spot-on. Lisa and Phil are a super friendly couple (we bumped into them both a couple of times) but if all you want is seclusion then you should find this here in spades too (do be aware there are also two separately bookable luxury shepherd's huts on-site). The location is remote but not impossibly so (both Skipton Old Road and Bleara Road were navigable in poor weather) although I'd recommend planning your routes and not relying on your Sat Nav in wintry conditions as it's every bit as hilly around as you'd imagine. In fact when staying here you really do feel 'on top of the world' in all ways! We'll definitely be back to see how the place compares at other times of the year :)

  • "What an absolutely fantastic place to stay."

After a long week at work this was the perfect place to be, we both agreed we'd never felt so relaxed. They were so welcoming and friendly, the barn is beautifully laid out (we've definitely got some ideas for when we renovate our living room). The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and they give you plenty of options for drinks that suit any need, and the dog treats went down extremely well with our pup. The facilities were top notch, especially the hot tub, we even braved the cold shower! They have a guide with how to work every appliance as well as suggestions for local walks, attractions and restaurants that we found very useful. I would recommend the barn to absolutely everyone, although don't book up all the spaces because we will definitely be going back!

  • "Wow! What a place!"

! Lisa and Phil are both very friendly and welcoming and always on hand should you need anything throughout your stay. It is located in the most peaceful location with stunning views over the hills. Inside The Barn, the decor is stylish yet cosy, the bed is comfy, it was exceptionally clean, and there is everything you could possibly need… they really have thought of everything! Outside there is parking and a terrace containing a fire pit, hot tub, and sun room which are additional luxuries! We cannot wait to return! Thank you xx

Phil and Lisa really went above and beyond with everything. Very nicely decorated and very cosy. Perfect for a relaxing break. It is ideally located in a peaceful location with great views from the hot tub and the owners put a lot of effort into a welcome booklet containing local walks, takeaway menus, and general info about the cabin and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay again.

  • "Phil & Lisa were fantastic hosts, super friendly and always on hand if needed."

We arrived late after a long journey from Cornwall and altho they were going out, Phil stayed behind to welcome us and show us all the features of the property. They have made a fantastic job of The Barn, beautifully furnished to a very high standard. Everything has been thought out with relaxation and comfort in mind. Toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, bread and butter were a welcome touch. Although there are two shepherds huts, as well as The Barn, consideration has been given to all 3 properties for privacy. The top deck with hot tub is such a lovely feature, with bbq, seating, shower and even a heated sun room with beautiful views over the countryside. Robes and slippers provided along with a lovely bottle of wine - perfect. Some fantastic friendly pubs with good food nearby and plenty of great walks. Perfect home from home and another plus was being dog friendly and even Riley had some welcome treats. Many thanks Phil & Lisa, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend - well done!
