Sheepfold Cottage

Sheepfold Cottage is an absolute gem of a find.

The location is peaceful, with stunning views from every window and door. The friendly sheep, calves and hens graze close by. Lisa made us so welcome with a delicious basket of goodies and fresh flowers. It was five star comfort with underfloor heating and a lovely wood burner for cosy evenings. The close by Gargrave village (10 minute walk) adds to the delight with excellent pub food, a well stocked co-op, delightful walks, public transport (including the Settle-Carlisle railway) and friendly locals. A superb holiday. We will return.

Sheepfold Cottage is a taste of perfection in a beautiful setting with lovely owners, comfortable seating & bed, beautiful bathroom & good parking right by the door.

You can sit outside in the sun or snuggle down inside with the wood burner. There are plenty of logs offered & a generous welcome basket & flowers. We want to return as we loved it!

A lovely well appointed cottage set in an idyllic location.

Perfect for canal and Pennine Way walks. Great places to eat in nearby Gargrave which is about a 20 minute stroll.

From the very warm welcome, to the quality and cleanliness of the property; not to mention the location and view.

It's a perfect cottage for peace and quiet with lovely views through the large windows and great walks from the door. Very useful selection of walking books for the whole area provided. Close to Skipton, Malham, Bolton Abbey and Grassington and only an hour from Harewood House

The cottage had everything we needed this was the second time we have stayed there and hope to go again it is such a lovely place to stay

Excellent cottage - location, wide ranging views, comfortable accommodation with everything provided that you could want.

All crockery, glassware and cutlery of first rate quality. Easy to see why we hope to visit again. Lisa & Brian are excellent hosts, friendly & helpful but not intrusive in any way. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday week and cannot fault anything at all. Thank you for everything.

Lovely appointed cottage with views across the fields and beyond.

Lisa & Brian made us most welcome throughout our stay. This is our second stay in sheepfold and we’ve booked again for October. If you’re looking for a quiet cosy location with an abundance of wildlife, then you’ll not be disappointed.

everything from start to finish could not be any better ,it,s everything you would dream about for a holiday,Lisa&Brian were excellent host,s it was a pleasure to meet them and they could not do any more to accomodate you,cleanliness to comfort first class nothing needed in the kitchen,oh!

the shower marvellous especially after a full day out,it,s so good that we are booking for next year just like other guest,s have done .

The cottage was really fabulous, set in an idyllic peaceful setting away from the road.

From the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom everything was perfect, well equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need, lovely comfortable bed and a cracking shower we had the best week. It’s an ideal base for exploring, Gargrave, Skipton, Kirkby Stephen, we also did the train ride from Settle to Carlisle which is amazing with beautiful scenery and breathtaking views. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The welcoming basket was a lovely touch as were the fresh flowers. Lisa and Brian were fantastic hosts and were only a phone call away if needed. Perfect

Property is very clean comfortable and the log burner is one of the most efficient we have come across.

The facilities are very good all equipment required for two people are there. We had a very nice holiday despite the weather( cold and wet), but manageable.

! Home from home, lovely surroundings, so much to do, or just relax, the woodburner and underfloor heating fantastic, lovely bath and hot water, airfryer a bonus too, dont change a thing, will be back, thankyou !!!!

Wonderful owners, very warm and welcoming, left us a Christmas hamper and a couple of gifts under the tree, a stunning property and place,plenty of space in a quiet place, everything you need home from home, will definitely stay again.

Croft cottage is excellent and in a stunning location.

The interior is to a vey high standard and the owners make you most welcome. Idea place to relax and chill.

Lovely property with stunning views.

The what three words coordinates made it very easy to find. Ideally located for Skipton and surrounding area. Lovely hosts and a beautiful property. We stayed for a week, but there is still so much we didn’t get to explore in the local area. We hope to be able to return and carry on exploring!

Our recent stay was perfect.

Lisa & Brian have created a peaceful & luxourious haven. Everything has been thought of, even our mountain bikes had 5 star accommodation! The Masons Arms in the village had a warm atmosphere & served delicious food. We were also able to buy local produce from Robertshaws Farm shop, to enjoy back in the comfort of Croft Cottage. We've already booked to stay again in the Spring as we enjoyed our stay so much.

A beautifully appointed cottage in an idyllic location - set in a lovely rural location with easy access to Gargrave which has two good pubs and a Coop.

The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable (with both a bath and a large walk in shower - bliss), perfect for a relaxing stay. Situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, it is ideal for exploring places like Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Hebden, Ribblehead and many others. We had a wonderful holiday. We’ll definitely be back!

A real gem of a cottage.

Lovely location out in the countryside but within 3 minutes drive/15 minutes walk of village shops & pubs. Spacious inside, with a comprehensive inventory and a nice welcome pack. Owners are very friendly but unobtrusive. We have stayed in nearly 80 cottages over the years…definitely in our top 5

We were greeted on arrival at the cottage very cosy clean and spacious also there was a welcome basket the cottage had beautiful views

Excellent cottage with everything you could ask for and more.

Decorated to a very high comfortable standard and a very peaceful scenic location just what we were looking for. One word really - PERFECTION!!

We were delighted with this really well appointed cottage.

It was an excellent conversion providing a spacious and pleasing environment with a fantastic outlook. The owners were on hand if needed but otherwise unobtrusive. They were extremely friendly and their welcome was much appreciated. We enjoyed some excellent walks and exploring places of interest in the area.

Wow, what a holiday cottage.

It was situated in a quiet location away from the village, but only a short walk to the village. The view from the patio was lovely, with only green fields in it. Lisa and Brian were 2 lovely people. The cottage inside was immaculate, clean and well presented. The welcome basket was very thoughtful. We went for a bit of R & R, and were sad to leave, as we were only just getting started when it was time to go home. We will be going back, but this time for a longer stay. Many thanks to Lisa and Brian.

Friendly owner and warm welcome.

Cottage was immaculate, with excellent facilities and finished to a high standard. Lovely views of the surrounding countryside with a great private patio area to sit out. Pleasant walk from the cottage into Gargrave along part of the Pennine Way, with gorgeous views. Gargrave is a lovely town, has 2 good pubs and is a great base for exploring the Dales and surrounding area. Croft Cottage was a fantastic place to stay.

The best cottage we've ever stayed in.

Everything was provided and fresh flowers and a welcome basket was much appreciated. The hosts were really helpful with info etc that we needed. It was peaceful and wonderful to see the wildlife and also the sheep with their lambs.

Our stay at croft cottage was extremely luxurious, the owners Lisa and Brian should be really proud of themselves.

The cottage is in beautiful surroundings, inside well what can we say we have to give it 5 stars and well worth a visit.The welcome pack and fresh flower's was so welcoming, the log burner was such a treat.Attention to detail through out the cottage was excellent. What a fantastic property, 5 star plus in my opinion, the thought to details of the design and selection of equipment really show the owners commitment to making the cottage a success for all seasons.

If you like peace and quiet, wildlife and scenery, lovely walks and cosy evenings by the log burner this is for you. The setting can only get better and better as the landscaping matures. The best romantic property for a couple we have found for sure.
