Derwent is a contemporary glamping pod tucked away in the peaceful village of Tewitfield, offering a calm and comfortable base for couples, small families, or friends who want to slow down and enjoy life at a gentler pace.

Step inside and you’re greeted by a bright, thoughtfully designed open-plan space that immediately feels welcoming.

Evenings are wonderfully simple as you can curl up with a film on the Smart TV, dive into a new series on Netflix, or just enjoy the quiet after a day in the fresh air.

The kitchen area has everything you need for relaxed self-catering, including an induction hob, combi microwave/oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, and all the utensils you’ll need for putting together light holiday meals.

A sleek shower room with basin and WC adds everyday convenience, and with fresh linen, duvets, pillows, and towels all provided, you can settle in and feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Outside, a private lawned area with a picnic bench gives you your own little patch of countryside, perfect for a slow breakfast in the morning sun, or a peaceful drink under the evening sky as the day winds down.

Carnforth 3 miles; Kendal 14 miles; Windermere 19 miles.

The picturesque hamlet of Tewitfield is settled in Lancashire beside the Lancashire Canal. Stroll along the Tewitfield Canal Locks for scenic views of the countryside, ideal for avid walkers and cyclists. The village is home to a marina, where you will find barges and boats and across the road is an excellent farm shop selling local produce and hosting crafts. You can enjoy dining at a County Inn, Longlands Hotel with a restaurant serving traditional meals. Have some family fun at Crazy Golf @ Greenlands and enjoy exploring the surrounding area, with Pike Lake for a peaceful afternoon and Cinderbarrow Miniature Railway slightly further afield. Jump in the car and visit the market town of Carnforth for a wide selection eateries and specialty shops for a souvenir to remember your holiday by. Steeped in history is the bustling town of Kendal, where you can explore a Georgian Manor, the 12th century ruins of Kendal Castle and unveil the past at the museum.
