    Comfortable accommodation for a family or a couple’s break. The residents of Garstang are friendly and very welcoming. The owners of the cottage are friendly and leave you alone to enjoy your stay whilst leaving a number in case of any issues. Highly recommended this cottage for a great holiday.

  • "This is the third time we have stayed at Levenside, and each time have found the cottage to be very clean and comfortable with good amenities."

    Garstang is well equipped with restaurants, pubs, shops and takeaways for eating out or cooking at home. There are also many lovely local walks which we and our pup enjoyed immensely. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage, and the hosts are lovely too ☺️

  • "We wanted a few days away to relax and recharge and also somewhere we had never been too before and we chose Levenside."

    What a great choice! The house was lovely, spotless, very comfortable and the parking was a bonus, loved the cookies you left and the milk was much appreciated as I had forgotten mine and a cuppa was needed. The location in this market town of Garstang is perfect, we enjoyed walking around on an evening to the local pubs one on the riverside looking at the boats and the swans they do great food or you can have a takeaway there are few to choose from. We went out every day as the location is great for going to numerous places, Blackpool, Morecombe, Lytham St Ann’s and of course The Lakes. Our dog loved all the walking we did. We loved our stay here and would certainly recommend. Thank you Gill x

  • "We had a lovely relaxing stay at Levenside the location is perfect, everything is at hand and Garstang town itself is only 5minutes walk away, Aldi supermarket is literally over the road which can be seen from the living room window, so no need to take any food shoppiing with you, our only thing we would comment on would be the drive way, getting on and off has it is on a busy road so this can sometimes be difficult, and the hedges either side of the drive obscure the view a little, however this would not put us off staying at Levenside, we hope to return."

    The house was well equipped with quality furnishings that were very comfortable. Garstang is a great area for walking around and having a mooch in the shops. Barton Grange garden centre was fantastic. We would definitely return to this lovely accommodation.

    Very homely feel with everything on hand. The cottage is in a great location for the lovely town and river & days out to country & coast. Our little dog had a great time exploring & the courtyard garden is a nice little sun trap too.

The property

Levenside sits in the heart of Garstang, a historic market town known for its independent shops, riverside walks and welcoming community feel.

This semi-detached retreat offers a comfortable base for couples or smaller families who want a place to unwind while having plenty to explore right on the doorstep.

Step inside and you’ll find a well-designed kitchen/diner with everything you need for home cooking, whether you’re putting together breakfast before heading out or settling in for an easy supper after a full day of exploring.

The sitting room offers a warm, relaxed space to slow down in the evenings, with a woodburning stove adding that classic touch that makes a chilly night feel rather special.

You will also be perfectly placed for attending weddings, celebrations or spa days at the beautiful Wyresdale Park, in Scorton, only 3.6 miles away; or how about a day out at The Barn at Scorton for a lovely afternoon tea, and a browse around the gift shop and garden centre.

For more days out, why not visit Lancaster and the Trough of Bowland, which is easily reached by car and offers plenty to get stuck into, from its imposing castle to its lively arts scene and historic streets.

The beautiful Lake district national Park is accessible within a 50 minutes drive.

Blackpool brings traditional seaside attractions, bright lights and a bit of nostalgic fun, while Morecambe’s sweeping coastline gives you wide-open views and bracing sea air.

Garstang is a small town within the Wyre Borough of Lancashire, famous for declaring itself the world's first Fairtrade town. Known locally for its tasty home-grown produce, this small town offers a warm welcome and a wealth of specialist and individual shops where you can pick up a number of treats; don't miss the local cheesemongers for a wedge of fine Lancashire cheese! The street market is held every Thursday, another exciting shopping treat. Running right through the centre of the town is the peaceful Lancaster Canal, where you can watch the passing canal boats cruise by and enjoy the abundance of wildlife it supports. The nearby Millennium Green, an area situated on the western bank of the River Wyre, has actually been designated for wildlife conservation and events in the community.
