  • "Absolutely lovely house, extremely clean and very well equipped."

Garden was really secure and perfect for the dogs. Soaking in the hot tub after a day out was lovely. The shower room was great and spacious with a really good shower. One of the best houses that we have stayed in, highly recommended.

  • "This is a lovely property."

Convenient for the town and the surrounding countryside. We had two dogs we th us and it was easy to look after them here, they settled straight away. For the humans it was nice and cosy too! It was interesting to see an air source heat pump in action as this helps us to decide what we will do in future. Hot tub was a lovely extra!

  • "Amazing well equipped holiday home."

Lovely bits like a home baked cake, milk, bread, tea and coffee. Even salt and pepper and other essentials available. Many have nothing. So this gets 5 stars from us and a highly recommended. Rachel is a super host without doubt. The hot tub is also a massive bonus and lovely large and secure garden for the dogs. Also, easy walking distance into Melton Mowbray. Will definitely be returning in the future

  • "Lovely lovely property, very tastefully decorated with had everything we needed."

Lovely surprise welcome basket on arrival. Fabulous facilities throughout, beds really comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped including a Nespresso! The Hot tub was a lovely addition. We will definitely be back. The owner was in touch when we arrived to check all ok and available if we needed anything. Perfect stay, thank you!

  • "We enjoyed our stay though it would have been helpful to have a booklet on how to operate the televisions."

We do not have a smart tv and somebody had left the subtitles on. It took us quite a while to find how to turn them off. One other thing we had to get the key out off the key box on the wall as there are two key boxes it would be easier if they indicated which one to open.

Hi Sheila, I hope you had a good journey home. Thank you for your feedback, its really helpful. The televisions downstairs had just been upgraded to to the latest Virgin fibre before your stay, we will ensure that the instructions are to hand. I have asked the handyman to remove the lower key safe, many apologies for the confusion. With kind regards Rachel Property Owner

  • "Thank you for the stay at The Willows and for the lovely thoughtful things e."

    G. milk and the freshly home made cake, which looked and tasted amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean and smelled beautiful. We loved how you have styled the house as well as how comforting and 'home from home' you have made it feel. The hot tub was an extra special bonus. For my special birthday celebration, this was perfect and we highly recommend a stay here.

  • "We had a fantastic stay, the only couple of issues we had were the oven grill was not working properly and the fencing at the end of the garden was open."

Not really an issue as we saw that in the photos but the property is dog friendly.. if the dog goes through the fence into next doors garden it has free access to the road at the back.. It may be worth wiring this in so that the level of worry about thinking about the dog reduces and people are able to settle into the great hot tub without having to keep watching the dog 100% of the time - ours likes to potter about... except for that it was a lovely property and we had a great time.

Hi Mark, thank you for your feedback its really helpful. We have taken your comments on board and have had high picket fencing installed at the bottom of the garden to make the it completely dog secure. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Willows. Kind regards Rachel and Chris Property Owner

  • "Fantastic holiday home!"

Beautifully kitted out, it was a real home from home with all the comforts you could wish for & so well equipped. The whole family enjoyed the hot tub! Very thoughtful of the owners to leave fresh bread, a lovely freshly made cake, eggs, butter & milk. Location was great - a short walk to Melton Mowbray centre, just round the corner from the train station & a fantastic park & play area which our young boys loved as well as being a short drive to many local attractions. The only downside was the fact its on quite a busy road so a little noisy with traffic noise if sleeping in the front bedroom but other than that perfect! Would have been useful to have some instructions left for using the appliances but we figured it out & the owners were so responsive & helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this place & will be passing on details to any friends & family looking to holiday in the area.

The bits left for us (ie cake, milk, eggs, bread, tea and coffee) were lovely and we loved the coffee machine and Jacuzzi We would definitely recommend a stay here

  • "Beautiful property, lived up to photos and details."

Very well and thoughtfully equipped, ie fresh homemade cake on arrival, teas/coffee, milk etc welcome pack makes such a difference for arriving in the evening. All cleaning products available. Plenty of towels and blankets etc. Super clean. There was 1 incident which was deal with quickly and professionally, thanks! Hot Tub was a great bonus feature, and wonderful to have instructions/cleaning kit etc to help maintain it. My only constructive comment is that for a dog friendly property, i would have expected a fully fenced and secure garden, which it is not, our dog was super keen to go across the gate style fence to next doors cat!! Overall I would highly recommend this property and great to see a home owner not overly inflate prices in this time of staycations! Thank you!

Hi Charlotte, thank you so much for your feedback, its really helpful. I just wanted to let you know that we took your comment on board regarding the fencing at the bottom of the garden. We have put new picket posts at the far end and the garden is now completely escape free for dogs and hopefully looks great if you do book again we would love to welcome you back. Wishing you a very happy Christmas, keep safe. Best regards Rachel Property Owner

  • "Lovely house and garden with a great hot tub."

Perfect location for exploring surrounding areas inc. Rutland Water, Burlegh House and Belvoir Castle. Lovely box of bread/eggs/amazing cake on arrival. The house was really comfortable...just to note the bed in the front room didnt seem to be a double, it felt v small, we only had 1 person in it but i think we would have struggled with 2. The single room had a pull out bed, but when it was out you couldnt shut the door, as it filled the room. Also it would be really useful to have some coat hooks. Other than that it was pretty much perfect, thanks for a lovely stay!

  • "The Location of the property was excellent."

The standard of the property and and the welcome things were excellent, including the lovely cake from next door. The weather was very kind to us and the pubs had just re opened outside so we managed to get out an explore Rutland Water and the Peninsula. Then had afternoons in the garden sunbathing and using the hot tub. It was just what we both needed, and the fact that is was pet friendly, meant we could bring Todd our Border Collie with us too. He also loved chasing his ball up the garden and on the walks we had
