  • "What a lovely relaxing place to stay, set in the countryside this beautiful lodge is incredibly comfortable, with fantastic hosts and with everything (and more) you could possibly need."

It’s clean, well set out, spacious, with great walks for the dogs down to the canal using the footpath just yards from the cottage and with half a dozen pubs within a 10-15 minute drive you are spoilt for choice, Sunday dinner at the Duck in Woolsthorpe recommended. Looking forward to visiting again.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay and especially pleased that you and the dogs made the most of the beautiful countryside and canal walks. It’s wonderful to hear you found the cottage so comfortable and well equipped. We’re so glad you enjoyed The Duck too, and we’d love to welcome you back again soon! Property Owner

  • "Wow! What a beautifully presented cottage."

We had the privilege of being the first to hire this fantastic holiday home, although we didn’t realise that when we booked! But we had no need to be concerned. Hats off to the owners who have thoughtfully and successfully renovated this property. Refurbished throughout with great style and a superb finish. Warm and welcoming, they have gone the extra mile to make it an amazing place to stay. They have thought of everything ,that you may need, well equipped and immaculate. Zoe, from Royal Clean, was our point of contact and she was amazing! So helpful. The cottage is designed by John Lewis and with that comes quality. The beds are very comfortable, as are the sofas and the furniture is superb. The garden is open and spacious. You can hear a pin drop! The views over the countryside are stunning. Surrounded by trees and fields, but the pretty village of Barrowby is about a mile away, so it's not isolated. It's such a relaxing place to stay. We and our two dogs loved it and we will definitely return. It’s situated close to so many lovely attractions that we had never visited before, like Belvior Castle (15min), Belton Estate (12min), Stamford and many more. We just wish that we could have stayed longer. We would give it more than 5 stars if we could. Did we mention that we will be back? 100% we will..... its a gem! Thank you so much, Wayne and Christine, for such a wonderful review. We’re absolutely delighted that you and your two dogs enjoyed your stay and felt at home in the cottage. As our very first guests, your feedback means so much to us. We’ve put a lot of care into the renovation and all the little details, so it’s lovely to know they helped make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We’re also thrilled you enjoyed the peace, countryside views and some of the fantastic places nearby. And thank you for your lovely comments about Zoey — we’ll be sure to pass them on. It was a real pleasure having you as our first guests, and we couldn’t have wished for a kinder first review. We’d love to welcome you back — hopefully for a little longer next time! Warmest wishes, Lucy Property Owner
