Off road parking. Well equipped kitchen. Good hot spacious shower. Comfy bed n sitting area. Well stocked local coop shop. Enjoyed my week there. Would book again.

Jayne met me on arrival and explained the facilities.

The property and facilities matched the description in the listing and were clean and well-maintained. A great bolt hole for 1 or 2 people in an excellent quiet location for the coast and countryside. Would highly recommend the Herb Garden.

A very well equipped accommodation that suited our needs perfectly. The property was situated in the quiet countryside with easy access to the Lincolnshire wolds including the towns of Louth, Mablethorpe and Cleethorps. Very friendly host who was on hand with anything you might need. Would definitely recommend.

Just back from our stay at the Herb Garden we had a really nice week away.

Simple easy key entry box but met Jayne on arrival and Paul on another day and just had friendly chat. Everything is pretty much as in the photos neat, tidy, cosy accommodation over 2 floors with parking. We did plenty of driving about and discovered some nice spots but equally you can just relax as very quiet. Turn right out of driveway for an easy evening walk up the lane passing alpacas and llamas in the fields.. Many thanks to you both

It’s a superb property in a very quiet village.

We only had three nights. Used it to visit Skegness and Mablethorpe. Very clean and modern. The kitchen downstairs is well equipped. The sitting area and bedroom upstairs is exceptional. Unfortunately my fiancée broke her leg in February this year and she’s still on the mend. It did make the stairs a tiny bit difficult for her. Hopefully when she’s fully recovered we could visit again.

We had a super stay at the Herb Garden.

Beautifully kept, well appointed both inside and the cosy, sunny, secluded courtyard garden. A great place to unwind and enjoy exploring the countryside and costal resorts of Lincolnshire.

This cottage is an brilliant peaceful bolthole it is quite small but big enough for two adults there is everything you need and the hamper is full of very useful things.

We really enjoyed our stay it is very central for so many places but right in the middle of the countryside. We would definately go back.

The owners who live next door were friendly (but not annoyingly so) and there was a lovely little seating area outside.

Lovely property well designed & very comfortable, it was all we hoped for a couple of days away.

A nice touch was the welcome pack & a lovely warm welcome by the owner. I would suggest a couple of hooks in the bathroom for clothing or a robe & that you update the photograph’s on Sykes cottages as the current ones don’t do the property justice. Lastly it’s worth noting the property is over two floors & the only toilet is on the ground floor.

A very cosy, peaceful place to stay.

It felt so homely I didn’t want to leave when my week was up. This well equipped property has everything you need for a nice break away. Ideal village holiday home that is not far from Louth , Homefield Alpacas, Alford five sailed windmill, Claythorpe Watermill and Mablethorpe. The owners Jayne and Paul were very friendly and the welcome package of bread, wine, milk, jam and biscuits was gratefully received. I definitely would love to stay there again .

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, at this cosy, comfortable cottage, although workmen arriving early each morning to lay a new patio meant it wasn’t quite as peaceful as we hoped!

Lots to see, good places to eat, welcoming and helpful owners. Downstairs bathroom made it difficult for my wife with an arthritic knee coming up and down in the dark: not mentioned in the details. Nonetheless, a really good holiday with good weather!

Well equipped. Very clean and tidy. In a very nice quiet village. Owners very helpful.

Jayne was there to greet me when I arrived.

There was a bit of a glitch with the wifi but she sorted it out in no time and there was a great signal all week. The welcome pack – with wine, bread, milk, biscuits – was a kind thought and much appreciated. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might need and the dishwasher was the easiest to operate that I've ever encountered. It was great to cook with gas again. The shower was also user friendly and there was plentiful hot water. The sitting room upstairs was plainly but tastefully decorated and the sofa very cosy.. I slept wonderfully all week. It was pleasant to sit in the little garden when the sun shone, which wasn't often unfortunately, but I'd come here to write and managed a healthy word count. Louth and the coast are an easy run. A charming little retreat which I recommend warmly.

We found the Herb Garden to be a peaceful setting and an ideal opportunity to explore the nearby area.

We found the owners to be friendly and hospitable. With the toilets being downstairs however we had to navigate our way down the stairs in the middle of the night but apart from that issue we would recommend this as a lovely place to stay.

The owners were also lovely and made sure we had everything we needed to have the best stay possible, would definitely recommend for a staycation!

This is the most comfortable and cosiest place to stay, i would say in Lincolnshire.

Everything you could ask for for the perfect break. The owners are extremley welcoming and nothing is to much. When we arrived there was a welcome basket, which is much needed after a long drive. My partner extremley appreciated the vino!

Lovely little cottage, very warm and cosy.

Reception pack of milk, bread, wine etc very much appreciated. Very friendly owners. We came home a day early only because the weather changed to snow, sleet and rain. An instruction card for the shower and room thermostat would have been appreciated but managed to sort it by trial and error! Definetely recommended.

The cottage is very well equipped with everything that you need.

Bed is very comfortable, overall the cottage is well furnished. Jayne and Paul are very friendly and helpful. The location is great, nice and peaceful but within easy reach of all the surrounding places to visit. Definitely a great place to stay.

We loved staying in this very cosy, comfortable, modern cottage.

It had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday and there were lots of walks and beautiful countryside just outside the door. Jane and Paul were friendly hosts and nearby if we needed anything. Arriving late evening we were grateful too for the bread, milk, biscuits and wine left for us to enjoy.

A lovely little property in a lovely area.

We were advised on check in there was a problem with the shower, it was usable and hoping to be fixed during our stay. The shower was fixed which was brilliant. A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us and the hosts, Jane and Paul we very welcoming and on hand if needed them. Yes, you need to drive as not on a bus route but only short drive to lovely beaches and places of interest. It would be nice for a full length mirror and a couple of large glasses for long drinks (shandy/ squash) to be in the property. Not a deal breaker by any means just a suggestion.

Lovely compact accommodation, everything two people need for relaxing break.

Clean tidy and comfortable, made to feel welcome by the owners and they were kind to leave us those little things that make such difference, milk bread etc and a packet of herb seeds to start us off growing herbs in our own garden. Just brilliant thanks so much

We had a lovely welcome from Paul and Jayne. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very cosy. Kitchen superbly equipped and design of the property ensured a remarkable amount of storage space. Jayne and Paul were very helpful about what to see in the area. Overall, highly recommended.

Great hosts. The cottage was lovely. Very clean with everything that we needed. Amazing village with a Tuesday Fish and Chip van. Invited into the village hall with the local residence to eat them. Great base to see and enjoy the area. Would be happy to use the cottage again and to recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at the 'Herb Garden', and were warmly welcomed by the hosts Jayne and Paul.

We knew they were on hand if we needed them but they allowed us our privacy to enjoy our stay. The property was beautifully warm and cosy, and exceptionally clean with nice decor. The kitchen was fully equipped with cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher etc and the shower was piping hot and powerful. The bed was firm, which was fine for me, but didn't suit my wife so much. We felt safe at the 'Herb Garden' and would love to return as we had a very relaxing break. We have recommended it to family members already!

The property was well equipped, very clean and in a good situation to visit wolds and coast. Lovely places to visit nearby. Only slight drawback was negotiating stairs to visit bathroom in the night. Fortunately a torch was provided.

Jayne and Paul made us very welcome and gave lots of information about the area.

The accommodation was spotless which for me is the most important criteria. I would mention the bedroom is upstairs next to the sitting room and bathroom Is downstairs which caused no problems for us but it might for others. Quiet country location and near to coast.

Lovely peaceful location,wonderful Hostess and Host,Perfect welcome pack,and even some Rosemary seeds to remember our Herb Garden experience with,this is an ideal base to explore Lincolnshire and the Wolds.

The owners use a lot of scents and scented conditioners.

I get asthma from quite a few scents so we needed to put the scent sources into sealed plastic bags and use our own bedding and towels. Luckily we did bring bedding and towels with us so it was OK. Apart from that, it was a lovely place well situated for what we wanted and we enjoyed being there a lot.

Jayne and Paul suggested local places to see and made sure i did not miss the fish and chip van when i arrived lovely food and introduced me as a guest to the village social Club which i then enjoyed using whilst there The Herb Garden was very convenient to explore Lincolnshire and easy to go out for the day to explore The Herb Garden was comfortable had good facilities very clean and tidy I wood recommend The Herb Garden wholeheartedly i had a great time there thanks to Jayne and Paul

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The herb garden is everything we expected and more and the little extras on arrival. Lovely touch. Cosy home from home. Jayne came and chatted and told us different bits about the area. Couldn't fault it at all.. Spot on, would definitely recommend :-)

Visiting The Herb Garden was our first get away since lock down.

As soon as we arrived we had absolutely no concerns as Jayne's outstanding attention to detail had everything covered. Jayne made us feel very welcome and offered useful information about the area, including accessing a brilliant fish market and the best fish and chips! The property is perfect for two, comfortable and fully equipped. We chose this area in Lincolnshire to be close to beaches and we were able to walk for miles along quiet, sandy beaches and along footpaths through the marshes, absolutely beautiful. Thank you Jayne.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Herb Garden.

It was Jane's first letting since lockdown restrictions were eased and she was quite nervous about making sure everything was satisfactory - but she had no need to worry. Everything was ready, we were made to feel very welcome, and the property was perfect for the two of us. It was in a very quiet location yet good access to the Wolds and the Coast, both of which we explored thoroughly during our short stay. The facilities were more than we required and we were very happy to self-cater throughout the stay. Thank you.

Although compact, this holiday accommodation is well laid out and exceptionally clean.

It possesses all that is needed for a pleasant break, in an attractive area and just a few miles from the lovely market town of Louth, an olde-worldly town with many little alleys and ginnels just crying out to be explored. Our hosts, Paul and Jane, were very helpful, welcoming and informative. Definitely high on the list for a return visit.

This delightful holiday let is ideally situated to explore the lovely Lincolnshire countryside, and coastline.

The Herb Garden is well-equipped, warm and comfortable. We were especially impressed by the warm welcome from Jayne and Paul, who gave us advice about the area, places to see and to eat, during our 3 day stay. As a result we were able to cram a lot into our very enjoyable weekend. We truly enjoyed the peace and slower pace of Lincolnshire, and hope to visit again.

We had a great holiday even though it was winter time.

The lady who owned The Herb Garden was very welcoming & showed us round the cottage explaining where everything was & the little extras like the welcome pack was very nice. She also told us about the seals at Donna Nook which we visited & What an amazing sight , lisfs of seals & their pups. She also told us about a local pub The Waggon & Horses which did great pub food at good prices. We went twice as she was right. Would definitely like 2 come back in the summer so we can do more of the great walks round the Lincolnshire Wolds.

The 'Herb Garden' is a top quality cottage with everything you need for a lovely, relaxing holiday.

Jayne and Paul, the owners, are close by, friendly and want to make sure you have everything you need for a lovely holiday. The cottage is beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. The location is perfect for visiting local attractions such as the working windmills, the seals at Donna Nook and the nearby town of Louth, which is an interesting little place.

We would go to this property again if we go back to Lincolnshire owner was very welcoming and you had your own garden space and good parking which we think is essential

The cottage was in excellant condition and very tastefully decorated we couldn't fault it at all. Jayne and Paul was very friendly and helpfull without being intrusive. All in all we had a very pleasant 7 days and if we were to visit that area again we would try and book The Herb Garden again.

The owners were lovely and completely unobtrusive. We had a great time and can also thoroughly recommend The Kings Head at Theddlethorpe a lovely thatched pub who do excellent meals.
