  • "Tawney Cottage is a delight."

So well equipped, clean and cosy. The cottage is perfectly placed, being a short drive for beach and countryside walks. The enclosed garden is a really good size and very well kept.

So close to the beach made it very convenient to go back and forth. A lovely very well maintained property with very friendly, helpful owners. The mobile fish & chip van on a Wednesday is well worth a visit, delicious.

  • "Lovely property, very warm and cosy, the bed has the deepest mattress I have ever seen!"

Great shower and bath. The secure garden is great for 4 legged friends, immaculately kept as are all the surrounding grounds, obviously well loved and cared for. Our only gripe was the stools at the table(which we had already seen on the photos) fine for breakfast but not very conducive to evening dining, especially for off season when guests maybe stay in more of an evening, especially us! Or perhaps just us! Other than that a great stay with everything you need, thoughtful welcome basket

What a lovely holiday home. Extremely clean, very comfortable, lovely beds. Great secure garden if you have a dog. Lovely welcome pack on arrival too. Few minutes up the road to Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

  • "This was my second visit this year and as before enjoyed my stay in a well appointed holiday cottage nothing is too much trouble for the very welcoming owners."

The cottage and surrounding grounds are kept to a very high standard. One small suggestion it would be nice to have a mirror in the twin bedroom. We will definitely be coming back again. Regards Anne,Pippa, Kip and Betty

  • "The owners Paul and Lisa are so warm and welcoming."

They left a goodie box and complimentary toiletries which was a lovely touch. The cottage was immaculate and had everything in the kitchen that you would need to be totally self catering. Everything has been well thought out.The enclosed garden and dog walking area kept our Bella very happy. It was lovely to know that Lisa is a qualified vet should we need one. The fish and chip van which visits the campsite on a Saturday is definitely worth a visit as the Haddock was amazing and a great price! (Haddock and large chips made fresh to order only £13 for 2 people). The beautiful sandy beach is just down the road and popular with dog walkers. It was our first time away in many years and we had an amazing time. Thank you Paul and Lisa for being so accommodating. We will be back!

  • "My Granddaughter and I spent a most pleasant few days away at Tawny Cottage along with my dog Kip."

The Cottage is truely five star accommodation that you feel pampered from the moment you walk in the door, from the welcome goodie basket to the very large white fluffy bath sheets nothing has been skimped on. So much fell in love with the place that I have booked to stay again October 2023.

  • "What an absolutely wonderful cottage."

It was very well-equipped and had everything we needed for a great stay. The cottage has 3 smart TV's and is extremely comfortable. The bed was so comfortable we slept like a log. The bath was luxurious and we were super chilled. The fact that dogs are allowed was great and the enclosed garden was perfect for them. It is such a lovely peaceful place. I particularly enjoyed sitting out looking at the view, drinking tea and listening to the birds. The site is so well-maintained and the owners super friendly. Highly recommend a stay.

  • "I booked Tawny Cottage for a week away with my friend, and two small dogs for a week to rest, recharge and enjoy the time away."

The cottage is very clean and well equipped, everything you could possibly need during your stay has been taken into account. It is also set in lovely well maintained grounds. The garden is large and fenced off for privacy and dog safety, also for dog lovers there is even a lovely field available for dog walks with a poo bin. The house is very close to two lovely beaches, one in Sutton on Sea and the nearest one having parking on the beach for £2 per day. The closest and quiet town of Sutton on sea has a good selection of cafes and restaurants which are very dog friendly. There is farm close by which serves farm made dairy ice cream and farm produce breakfasts. Their Lincolnshire sausages are divine. The beauty of the cottage is that everything is within a short driving distance. We would definitely recommend a stay here and would love to stay again ourselves. We met the owners who are a lovely couple who can't do enough for you.

The Cottage does not lack in anything, every appliance you could wish for is provided. And with lovely touches such as the cheese in the fridge, and a box of goodies on the table. Many thanks Paul and Lisa for our very enjoyable stay. We've been recommending Tawny Cottage to our friends and also hope to stay again ourselves. P.s. For anyone with a caravan, the caravan site (same owners) alongside the cottages also looks a great place to stay. Karen

  • "Loved it - we were so impressed."

It was clean, decorated to a high standard, has everything we needed and more. It's a great place and location. Loved the garden. The only way I think it could be improved - and this is only a suggestion- is by having an electric car charging station (could take card payment) we struggled. Thank you for a great stay!

Thank you for the lovely review. Pleased you enjoyed your stay. We will certainly consider your charging point suggestion, it’s actually something we have been thinking about ourselves. Hopefully we’ll see you again before too long. Property Owner
