I enjoyed the week - New York is a good centre for exploring Lincolnshire.
The chalet is small but comfortable, with everything I needed. However, I was uneasy about the visits from a mouse/mice and evidence that it/they had been on the bed and on the surface where I was preparing food. I couldn’t move the bed to find where they were getting in, but perhaps a hole needs to be blocked?
We booked the Dakota after having to cancel a booking with another site, so we were pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from Bob, the owner of the property, making sure we were happy with our booking, and explaining that some of the details were not quite accurate.
We were pleased to get this accommodation at such short notice,and when we arrived were so pleased with what we found-a clean, comfortable room with a small kitchenette, complete with kettle, microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, and a basin for washing up. The toilet and shower were separate, but that didn't faze us after many years of camping. We were even given a guided tour of Bob's workshops, full of fascinating model aeroplanes, and full.size TT motorbikes. Such a lovely place and a very pleasant person. We would recommend it highly.
Our hosts Bob and Tracey were fantastic and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
The holiday let was compact but comfortable. We only booked for a week but ended up staying a second week because we liked it that much. Already booked 1 week for next year already.
