Silvadale Cottage

This is our 3rd stay at Silvadale Cottage and it is as perfect as our first visit.

Beautifully maintained and very comfortable. The weather was very warm so we were very happy to return late afternoon each day to sit and read in the delightful garden. The location is great for walking and near to the coast for a day out. Leigh and Neil have thought of everything to make a memorable stay, thank you.

What a fantastic cottage.

Clean comfortable. Everything we needed. We loved relaxing in the beautiful garden which our hosts kindly let us use. We enjoyed watching the squirrels and even saw a deer one evening. Leigh and Neil are a lovely couple who made sure everything was OK for us and were happy to tell us about the local area. We can't praise this cottage enough. Thank you for a lovely stay

Fantastic little retreat where you can see the trees and wildlife from your lounge and dining table.

Beautifully appointed kitchen with everything you could need, great attention to detail. It was a delight to stay there and the owners were so genuinely lovely to meet and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of useful local information on walks and cycle routes from the property, really helpful. Their garden is beautiful and it was lovely to sit there of an evening. We would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage, very quiet and helpful, friendly owners!

We had a great week exploring the area and were lucky with the weather. It was a comfortable cottage to come back to at the end of the day.

We thought the accommodation was amazing - so quiet.

Without a sat nav it took us a while to find and with it being off the main road, we had to be careful each time we returned not to cause a traffic problem. A problem with the heating was soon sorted out - the owners were very friendly and keen for us to be comfortable. We would have preferred a more solid matrass on the bed and have liked a bread bin in the kitchen - minor issues!

The cottage is situated within thr grounds of Silvadale and is equipped and maintained to a very high standard - very quiet and peaceful.

The perfect base for Louth and coastal resorts. Great hosts - Leigh and Neil, who are very approachable and helpful. Hope to return in the near future.

Out of the dozen or so holiday cottages I have been in over Q1 & Q2 of 2025, this is without doubt the most well presented of all the properties, within stunning & meticulously maintained grounds.

Neil and Leigh are lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. The garden is delightful and easy to while away a sunny afternoon. Cottage itself was spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and good shower. Kitchen well equipped. Easy parking. Louth itself is lovely town with lots of independent shops and cafes. Couple of lovely walks directly from the cottage.

Neil and leigh were wonderful hosts very helpful couldn't fault property everything required for our stay would recommend to all.

Extremely comfortable cottage & it was a treat to be able to access the owners garden which is so well maintained.

We were made very welcome by owners Neil & Leigh. They made every effort to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one. Nothing was an effort or too much trouble. Good places of interest, Lincoln cathedral and castle. Good choice of places to eat nearby. Ideal location for nearby walks. We would definitely be returning in the future. Mark & Michele, Wirral.

Gorgeous cottage in lovely grounds, will be back.

The cottage was immaculate, cosy and very well equipped kitchen.

The owners were very welcoming and it was a real privilege to share their beautiful garden. The cottage is set behind the main house so is very quiet. A lovely area for a holiday.

Beautiful little cottage set in excellent location for exploring the wolds.

Warm and welcoming hosts Leigh and Neil provided lots of tips for our walks and eating out. The cottage provided all the facilities we needed and the bed was so comfortable. Being able to sit in the wonderful garden with a cup or glass in hand and watch the birds and squirrels was perfect.

We'll equipped and clean. The owners are attentive and there if you need any help. A great base to explore the Lincolnshire Wolds or coast. We were not disappointed and would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Silvadale cottage it had everything you needed and more, we were greeted by Neil with a handshake and a smile, whom continued to show us around the cottage, he made sure before he left that it was no trouble if we needed anything at all, that we shouldn’t hesitate to ask, the cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with plush furnishings, and a very comfortable bed, also the grounds of Silvadale house are stunning, which we were allowed to use freely, we will definitely be returning.

Fabulous cottage, wonderfully clean and comfortable.

The garden and the wildlife are great too. We were made so welcome. Loads of great touches, like supplying the maps and bins for our walks. Loved the location, great for the coast Lincoln and the wolds. A week wasn't long enough.

Leigh and Neil were pleasant and helpful, but didn’t interfere or become ‘over familiar’.

Perfect hosts. The garden is stupendous and large with a massive lawn and enjoyable borders and the whole is surrounded by mature trees.

Leigh and Neil are welcoming friendly hosts who couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed, even swapping bedding to make us more comfortable in the warm weather.

The quality of the accommodation and fittings is superb and second to none. We loved every minute, especially sitting in their magnificent garden which is set in a lovely tranquil location. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary whilst on holiday and were very touched to be given flowers and prosecco by our hosts. All in all we had an amazing and memorable break in Silvadale Cottage and hope to return next year for longer.

Silvadale Cottage is a very high quality, well maintained cottage set in the grounds of the owner's home.

The gardens in which the cottage is situated are extremely well kept and are great to sit in and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a general air of tranquility at the cottage whilst enjoying the facilities on offer in nearby Louth and surrounding the countryside where local walks are to be found.

This is a gem of a cottage.

The setting, at the rear of the owners property and looking out on their wonderful garden, is perfect. Leigh and Neil are extremely welcoming and treated us as part of their family. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you would need to enjoy your stay. We were encouraged to use the spectacular garden whenever we liked and it is something to behold. The location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds with the lovely market towns of Louth and Horncastle and is only 30 mins drive to the coastal resorts of Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe and Skegness. We will certainly return to this cottage.

The garden is lovely and the owners are very pleased to let you enjoy it, although the pictures don’t show that the view from the cottage is the owner’s carport and cars.

Walks from the house are lovely.

We were looking for a base to meet up with my parents safely .

They live locally and we live 180 miles away which meant we hadn't met up during lockdown. Silvadale appeared a good meeting place where we could maintain social distancing. That was our priority with the booking. What we got was so much more. The cottage itself is immaculate and furnished to a very high standard. The bed was comfortable and shower excellent. Leigh and Neil were perfect hosts making us feel very welcome. The photos on the website do not do the garden justice as it is amazing. The wildlife was fascinating...including the deer which appeared one evening. There are lots of beautiful local walks too. We will definitely return. Thank You Leigh and Neil.

Silverdale cottage is very handy for visiting Louth.

There are also plenty of walks in the general area. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

This cottage is amazing!

! Perfect for 2 people, it has absolutely everything you could want for a self catering holiday. It is immaculate & the owners are there if you need them without being intrusive. It has all modern fixtures & fittings & permission to use their outstanding garden to relax in. We enjoyed fresh homegrown produce from the owners garden with their permission. It is perfectly placed for visiting the East Coast seaside towns like Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe & Skegness & the historic town of Louth is close by as are many parks. Book it you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be visiting again

Silverdale Cottage is extremely well equipped to a very high standard its very comfortable and in lovely setting.

The location is really good for exploring the area and louth is a pretty market town. The owners Leigh and Neil are ver hospitable and welcoming and a wealth of information. We hope to return again.

Silvadale cottage was just as described, We had a lovely relaxing break over the Christmas period, The owners had tastefully decorated the cottage for Xmas and left a lovely welcome basket.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage for a relaxing stay. Well positioned for the general area as well.

Set in a lovely garden and near Louth which is lively and charming. Plenty of walks from the door and easy access to the coast. Nature reserves and seal sanctuary not far away. Friendly and welcoming hosts.

This cottage was close to the hosts large gated house with a lovely garden.

My wife & I spent four very restful nights there. All facilities required were availabe The interior was presented to a very high standard & very smart decor. Just like a luxury hotel suite. Hosts were warm & friendly & clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. We walked into Louth which has a beautiful church with a very large elegant spire. Plenty of coffee places. I think we will return.

An excellent standard of accommodation, matched only by the welcome we received on arrival.

Nothing was too much trouble for Leigh and Neil, who have created a real gem of a cottage. Highly recommended!

Delightful accommodation in a beautiful setting.

Ideally situated on the outskirts of Louth and surrounded by open countryside. I found the owners were most hospitable, offering helpful advice for local walks and visits to places of interest further afield. This holiday let has all the amenities you need whether a base for exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds or just simply relaxing.
