Comfortable cottage with lovely garden in pretty friendly village.

Owners are very helpful but not intrusive. We would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting.

We had an amazing week and would love to stay again. Nettleham is a perfect spot for visiting Lincoln cathedral and there are lots more places to visit within easy driving distance. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly and provided little treats for our arrival. I would definitely recommend 22 Beckside.

Our second visit to Fran and Mike's lovely cottage and it didn't disappoint.

The cottage is warm and cosy and in a beautiful setting next to the Beck that gives it it's name. It has everything you would need for any length of stay. The village is delightful boasting 3 takeaways, 3 pubs and a couple of cafes as well as a Co-op. From here you can catch a bus into Lincoln and the location is ideal for exploring the Lincolnshire countryside and coast. We shall almost certainly be back.

The property was great and in a really pretty setting I can see why people return.

The cottage facilities are excellent and provides all you may need, the owners have thought of everything. The only down side for us was my husband has a bad back and the furniture is very low so he struggled getting up and spent most of our stay sitting on a dining chair. This would be the only thing that prevents us from returning.

Need we say more! However future visitors should note that at the moment the small village supermarket is being rebuilt following a fire and although there is a pop up shop in the carpark supplies are limited to basic items.

The cottage is situated in a picturesque location in a delightful village close to Lincoln.

The village has cafes, and pubs that do great meals. The cottage was scrupulously clean, and full of interesting objects.The friendly owners live next door and are on hand to provide assistance, but unobtrusively. We found that everything we needed was on hand, and full instructions were provided in a folder.The internet was very good. Getting into the centre of Lincoln was simple using the Park and Ride only five minutes or so away. Over the years we have visited many very good Sykes cottages.We very much enjoyed our time here, and we feel that this cottage ranks at the very top of the list

The cottage was lovely and well equipped.

Well maintained and comfortable. The only downside was the WI was a bit intermittent and a few waste baskets would be a useful addition. These are minor points that did not affect our stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the goodies left for us were a lovely touch.

We loved this cottage, quirky but extremely comfortable and equipped to a high standard.

The location is ideal for exploring this part of Lincolnshire being only 10 minutes drive into Lincoln or an hour from the coast. The village of Nettleham itself is a hidden gem with everything you would need. A special mention for Franky's Fish and chips and the Tea-Cosy Cafe. Fran and Mike are friendly and informative hosts and we would certainly return to this property in the future.

Very well equipped cottage with everything we needed for the week. Lovely village.. good bus service into Lincoln.. and plenty of interesting places not too far away… Newark.. Whisby nature park.. Doddington hall and gardens and the lovely cafe.. and Lincoln itself with all its shops and history. We look forward to returning!!

22 Beckside is more than just excellent accommodation: it feels like home. Comfortable, cosy, clean, with everything you need for the perfect holiday. Fran and Mike always make us feel very welcome. Nettleham is an extremely pretty village, situated ideally for Lincoln and with many other interesting places to visit.

We had a fabulous stay in this property and can’t recommend it enough.

The owners contacted us a couple of weeks before our stay to say they wouldn’t be there on our arrival and gave us all the instructions we needed for parking etc. The property was very clean and furnished fabulously and well stocked. We absolutely loved the antique furniture and where things needed to be modern they were. The welcome pack of wine, biscuits and crisps were very much appreciated. Nettleham village itself is a lovely village and has all the amenities you need. We hope to return soon.

This was a fabulous cottage with helpful and friendly hosts, set in a beautiful village.

Every communication and instruction was clear and accurate. We had a great week there and will almost certainly go back.

We found the cottage well presented and equipped in a lovely location, Fran the owner was lovely and met us on day of arrival giving us excellent advice, this is a beautiful cottage and a credit to its owners.

Very pretty, clean,comfortable and well equipped cottage in a lovely location, on the day we didn’t want to travel there were some lovely walks in Nettleham, Five mins walk to the bus stop for a quick cheap trip to the historic town of Lincoln, we were easily able to travel about and leave the car behind.

A goodie box of wine and biscuits to welcome us was a lovely touch.

Plenty of room to relax. The hosts were helpful and friendly. The location is very good being so near to Lincoln with convenient for catching a bus. Pretty village with shops pubs and restaurants.

We were given clear instructions about accessing 22 Beckside, where to park, and when we could arrive.

Everything was as described, with some extras like biscuits and crisps. We were very comfortable, slept well, the surroundings were quiet at night, and during the day it was delightful to hear children paddling in the beck! It's a short walk along the beck to the village amenities, and to catch the bus into Lincoln. We would have booked for next year at the same time, but it was already booked, which tells you everything!

We really enjoyed our stay at Beckside.

Located in a quiet area with close parking, it was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Ideally situated for a walk into the village or drive out to visit other parts of the area.

We have stayed in this lovely cottage several times and hope to visit again in the future.

22 Beckside is situated in a very pretty village with all kinds of faculties. Yet the cottage is beautifully quiet and tucked alongside the beck which runs through the village. A very special place. Yet again I return home rested and refreshed. Thank you Fran and Mike for providing such comfortable and welcoming accommodation.

Excellent communication by the owners both prior to the holiday and to check everything was ok once I was settled in. The property is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing visit. Plenty of extra touches provided, like the scrummy welcome basket. This was my second visit and looking forward to returning very soon. Highly recommended!!

The owners were extremely friendly and helpful prior to arrival and there was everything we needed on arrival to make this such an enjoyable weekend away. Lovely accommodation in a great little village and fantastic value for money. Would highly recommend.

The property was very comfortable, warm and clean and did not lack any facilities.

We much appreciated the welcome basket and information folder, and Mr and Mrs Spencer were very helpful. There was more than enough room for our party of four and all the rooms were nicely furnished with plenty of space for storage. Nettleham is a very pleasant village well served with a Co-op store, a Pharmacy and three pubs, of which we found the Plough to be friendly and with an excellent Greek menu. The other two pubs were also welcoming and all were within a short walking distance. A local bus was hourly into Lincoln as was a bus to Grimsby. To sum up, we had a great week's holiday here and would certainly recommend 22 Beckside to anyone thinking of staying in the area.

The village of Nettleham was delightful and an ideal place to stay. Not only was it just a few miles from Lincoln City but it had plenty to offer with a choice of eateries in the form of pubs, cafes and takeaways. Location also great for the nearby Lincolnshire Wolds for great walking. All in all a brilliant holiday.

The Cottage was just brilliant with everywhere clean and all the facilities we could wish for.

Friendly owners with helpful advice too. Such and nice place to be and with lovely surroundings and convenient Village amenities. Great position for easy journey into Lincoln or to reach other areas of Lincolnshire. Would highly recommend this Cottage. 5 star rating. Booking process was straight forward and quick. Sykes have got that well sorted too.

The cottage is one of the best I have visited, the village was in walking distance of the pubs and shops, the plough pub with its greek menu is a must.

The cottage as everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable and fran sorted the towels for us very quickly when we needed it. Lincoln is a bus ride away with lots to see. Would recommend this cottage and we will be coming back again.

Nettleham is a large village with plenty of pubs and takeaways (good food and everyone is friendly and welcoming) as well as a supermarket.

It is well placed to explore Lincoln, local walks, the beautiful Wolds and coast about an hour away. Our welcoming host gave us lots of useful information about the area and there were plenty of guides and leaflets left for our use. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed and a pretty, private garden. It's in a picturesqe backwater next to a beck which is a draw for paddling children and picnicking families on a sunny day.

A beck runs past the front door and winds its way around the village where you can stroll along the pathways.The village has a lot of amenities , a busy well stocked Co-Op , pubs , takeaways and tea shops all centered around the village green. A park and ride into Lincoln is a mile away.Towns and villages are within easy reach as too are the aircraft museums. Louth is a must for foodies with among other shops has a fabulous cheese shop.We have never been to Lincolnshire before but will return next year . Norma Brown , Sunderland

Wonderful central, but quiet, location for our 1st Covid-secure visit to Mum in 9 months.

The cottage was larger than expected; and exceptionally clean from top to bottom and equipped with plenty of cleaning products. Lots of storage space ( if needed). Bed was incredibly comfy- I slept so well. Shower was amazing. Kitchen was well-equipped with everything you needed to cook ( although we also made good use of the takeaways in the village- Frankys fish and chips and Greek2me).

The cottage was excellent well equipped with everything you could need and all round comfort also well situated to visit surrounding areas, Highly recommended and would recommend to friends and family and we hope to return in the future.

I met Fran on arrival and she could not have been more helpful.

The place was set up and prepared beautifully. It really was a home from home that was right in the centre of things in the village and allowed us to use the facilities with only a short walk involved to three different pubs, pharmacy, fish ship supermarket etc. I will definitely return!

The beck (stream) runs next to the cottage and there is a short walk alongside the beck to get to 'town' - the shops.

All basic shops are there plus three takeaways and three pubs, one of which has a superb but not expensive Greek restaurant on the first floor. The village is very friendly and pretty. The cottage is incredibly well-equipped, down to a Yorkshire pudding tin! It's warm, the beds are comfortable and the myriad of information booklets fills two drawers. The bus to Lincoln leaves from the top of a short street just over the beck, about 100 yards walk away. This was one of the best self-catering lets we've stayed in over many years of holidays.

Very comfortable, clean , well equipped great location

This cottage was brilliant and being close to Lincoln as well as local shops in Nettleham with good pubs a Co-op and all the usual takeaways you could not ask for more.

The owners Dave & Fran were really lovely people and were next door if you needed them for anything.We enjoyed the surroundings with the stream running through the village and the garden was nice and peaceful to sit out with a glass of wine (kindly supplied by the owners). We were not short of sites to visit as we are National Trust members what really made my day was a visit to Bomber Command where the Lancaster bomber was working taking people for a short run around the field (expensive if you wished to take part, around £400 pounds per person which included lunch a bit too expensive for me). The other venue worth a visit is the Transport Museum not far from the cottage, the owner there is a lovely lady who showed us around and we had a really enjoyable few hours there. All in all this holiday was one of the best we have had and we would certainly recommend it to anyone.

The whole of the week went smooth and the cottage was perfect it's in a lovely area it's quiet and loads of lovely surroundings and we had everything we needed it hand local shops parks and the owners was lovely too and very help full the cottage was just perfect and we will definatly re book again .

Best ever cottage we have ever been in every thing was what we needed and more lovely location and so handy for walking along the beck into the lovely village of nettlelham.

Unfortunately, the original property we had booked in Lincoln was severely damaged by previous occupants just a few days before our holiday departure.

It must have been devastating for the owners. Our trip was for the special event of our daughter’s wedding so it was pretty devastating for us too. Very happily for us Sykes had another property available in Nettleham, three miles from Lincoln. Although, we were not in the city centre as planned, the property in Nettleham was delightful & the village is very pretty. We had a lovely week of sightseeing culminating in a beautiful wedding. Full marks for both the property in Nettleham & Sykes.

Comfortable well equipped cottage ideally located on edge of picturesque village with easy access to Lincoln and surrounding area.

The cottage was lovely and clean and very well laid out - there was even a small welcome basket and information from the owners.

It's in a great location near to bus stops in both directions, the local shop and pubs - the walk alongside the beck to the shop every day was really pleasant. The cottage was difficult to find for the taxi drivers though as the postcode doesn't come up as Beckside - worth noting.

The owners of 22 Beckside have done all they can to make this cottage a real home away from home.

It has every comfort one could possibly want and has been thoughtfully equipped. The location is beautiful, if a bit noisy on a Bank Holiday , being right alongside a delightful beck. It is one of the best cottages in which we have stayed. Very lovely area, and very convenient for exploring Lincoln.
