A lovely cottage in a beautiful area.

Hall farm cottage is clean, comfortable, well equipped and very dog friendly. It has a large secure garden for dogs and some very comfortable patio furniture which is great for sunny days. There’s some lovely walks from the cottage itself up to Legbourne woods and also the pond belonging to the farm. Saltfleetby Theddlethorpe dunes and beach are just a 15 min drive away and are quiet and again a lovely place to walk with lots of wildlife. Sally the owner made us feel very welcome and came to check that everything was ok and if there was anything that we needed to know. This was our second visit to Hall farm cottage and we look forward to returning hopefully next year.

It's my happy place. I stay at hall farm cottage at least once a year , twice if I can . I would stay there forever if I could , we never want to leave . Thankyou for another great stay .

Really lovely cottage, with fantastic accommodation, 15 minutes drive from Mablethorpe beach which our dogs loved.

The cottage is extremely clean with a home from home feel. There is everything you need for a relaxing stay. The place is very dog friendly with dog bed, bowls and most importantly a large enclosed garden.

A lovely cottage in the most perfect location if you want a quiet getaway with amazing walks to a couple of very good pubs.

Close to lots of activities, moggs beach a must if you have dogs. A lovely private large garden, over looking fields with lots of wild life. Well equipped with everything you need. Very clean and quality bedding. :-)

The cottage was easy to find with the provided instructions and checking in was very straight-forward.

Our host came over on the first evening to say hello and check everything was in order. Very friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was perfect and we were settled in very quickly. The large secure garden area was ideal for our dog to roam around in. The garden furniture outside in the garden is ideal for an alfresco breakfast or supper or just to sit there with a glass of wine and take in the countryside. The living room is also extremely comfortable for chilling out in front of the TV. We stayed three nights in total and would have easily stayed longer.

The cottage is in need of new floors, perhaps to be redecorated.

It seems a long time since it’s had money put back into it.

Very enjoyable holiday and very comfortable cottage.

Hall Farm cottage was everything we needed , lovely walk from the cottage to the local pub which takes dogs , a good location for visiting Lincolnshire the cottage is near the coast as well as the wolds , Sally popped in now and again to make sure we where happy with everything, we would highly recommend Hall Farm cottage

The cottage was clean, and cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen.

The beds are comfortable, but not the same can be said of the lounge chairs. The interior does foster a welcoming atmosphere though. The location offered peaceful rural vibes with easy access to village pubs, local amenities, and nearby nature walks. However, I did not experience the thoughtful host touches I expected, and there was frequent dogs barking that affected the tranquility at times. A few tiny improvements could be made to address these issues, but they didn’t completely derail the stay. Overall: a calm, comfortable countryside escape with easy access to nature, though quieter hospitality touches and fewer disturbances would have elevated the experience. I’d still consider returning and would recommend it for a relaxed break close to nature if these concerns can be mitigated.

We have stayed at Hall Farm Cottage on a previous occasion and it continues to be one of our favourite cottages.

We love the peace & tranquility of the location. Sally the Owner who lives on site close by makes you feel very welcome, and is always on hand should you need anything. We love coming to this part of Lincolnshire and it suits our needs perfectly as we have a relative who lives not too far away so we can visit. Lovely homely cottage.

A mix of traditional and modern. Very well looked after, definitely would recommend. Very spacious, dog friendly. Lovely secure garden. Very clean.

Exactly as described we really enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I think this was our 4th time coming to hall farm cottage and we have already booked again next year's holiday.

I think that says everything you need to know . It's got everything we look for and more . The only problem for me is the time goes to fast , I'm already counting down to when we get to come back again next year .

Comfortable warm cottage with all the basic necessities one would expect.

A couple of light bulbs were not working and the lighting in the kitchen and front bedroom was poor. Flooring was fine for a dog friendly cottage although a rug the living room might make it slightly more cozy. The wi-fi was very weak, so much so that although the cottage had a smart tv it could not be used as such due to the weak signal. These are observations not complaints.

We absolutely loved being in this adorable cottage it's idealy situated to lots of local places it was so perfect we booked up after 2 days for another visit in March and can't wait .

We have taken a holiday in the same Lincolnshire area on a few previous occasions.

We already new about Hall Farm Cottage from a previous stay at another cottage close by, and we had spoken to a couple who was staying at Hall Farm at the time. We loved the size and location of the cottage and decided on our next visit to the area we would book a stay at Hall Farm Cottage. We were not disappointed. It met all of our expectations, lovely size, great location for our needs, as we had two dogs,so great for walks right on your doorstep. Good size secure garden with a lovely outlook, and very comfortable.The cottage was clean and well stocked with plenty of clean utensils. We also love an autumn log fire during the evening, and even as we ran out of logs, the owners stepped up and helped us out with more logs, something which you don't see that often when hiring out a cottage. All in all we throughly enjoyed our stay at Hall Farm Cottage and would not hesitate in booking again in the future.

Lovely cottage in a rural location.

Sally had left a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, and the enclosed garden was ideal for our dog who was intrigued when let out last thing at night to find a robotic lawnmower with headlights going round the garden. Would highly recommend this cottage. Good location for visiting beaches and local area. Annette

We have had another wonderful week at this beautiful cottage.

There is everything you need and is spotless and very comfortable. Our little Westie enjoyed playing in the garden and having a walk to the nature reserve. Sally and James are very welcoming and helpful and we had a lovely bottle of Prosecco left for us! There are two dogs that live on the farm that will bark occasionally when people are in the farmyard but this is during the day as it is a working farm but it didn’t disturb us. We will definitely return next year!

Lovely cottage, beautifully kept and great location.

Absolutely lovely cottage everything was perfect.

Sally let us use the field next to the cottage as it wasn't being used. the beds were very comfy the kitchen was well equipped. you couldn't fault anything. on arrival Sally left us a bottle of prosecco and a couple of bottles of lager we thoroughly enjoyed our stay we hope to come back in the future.

We enjoyed two wonderful weeks with our dog and will come back next year :)

Absolutely fantastic property and lovely area for exploring!

We had a fantastic time in the cottage and would definitely book again when we are back in the area. Lovely welcome pack. Garden area enclosed and secure for our pooch and lovely views. Comfortable bed, plenty of storage, lovely lounge for relacing in the evening. Sally the owner was welcoming and it was great hearing about her son Tom on his Go Karting achievements/wins, we will definitely be following his progress!

Such a lovely place and very much loved

The cottage was immaculately clean as if we were the first people to ever stay.

I scored the comfort as I did because I found the bed mattress really hard and woke up each morning with a bad back but that is no fault of the owner is just my own issue. Sad to say that there were a couple of issues, firstly the owners dog kennels were near our cottage which was also at the entrance to the farm, so when anyone arrived they started really barking. This included 3 what I consider to be early bouts of excessive barking at 6am and once at 4:30am. Secondly the garden was not 100% secure for my dogs, a few gaps in the chicken wire. I also had to do some maintenance on the wire as strands were sticking out which could have poked into my dogs eyes. A more smaller and robust gauge wire along the bottom of the fence is required. Although the owner was a lovely lady who cared they need to address both issues, especially the barking as we couldn’t put up with it any longer especially when the owners went to a motor racing event in Belgium which seemed to make the dogs get worse in their absence so we left 2 days earlier.

This was our third visit to hall farm cottage.

It as everything we look for when choosing a holiday cottage, a good size enclosed garden for our dog , peace and quiet , spotlessly clean and as everything you could want for a fantastic stay . This is truly my happy place and I'm already counting down to December when we return for stay number four . 5 Stars all-day long

What a lovely cottage.

It's bigger inside than first thought. Friendly hosts, in a quiet environment.

For two people the accommodation was certainly adequate and everything we needed was supplied.

Location was perfect just the right distance from the larger town. Surrounding area was perfect too for country strolls.

Welcoming owner left Prosecco which was a nice touch. Clean and nicely furnished. Lovely big garden to sit out in amongst nature . Perfect retreat to come back to each day after exploring Lincolnshire.

Your recommendations and knowledge of the area was really helpful. We appreciated the lovely wine and beer you left for us. What a pretty ,quiet and calm place to stay. A great place for our two dogs to potter in the enclosed garden. Also a lovely walk around the private lake. We saw two herons and numerous other water birds. Also a deer ,aswell as the resident ducks,sheep and a cat. Louth is a lovely place to visit, and we'd recommend a trip to the cheese shop. We had fun on local beaches with the dogs which are all dog friendly before May and after September. The Royal Oak (splash) is dog friendly in the bar. We didn't go though, as we stayed in the cottage to devour our cheese shop quiches! Absolutely loved it! We'll be back to stay again.

Our first visit to Lincolnshire. We enjoyed being able to go on countryside walks direct from the door. James and Sally were very welcoming and great hosts. Lovely cosy cottage which is well equipped. Loved having TV’s in each room. Bedrooms were a good size and also nice to have a separate toilet from the bathroom. Very peaceful location amid the sheep and farm. Would highly recommend and would stay again. None of these are a deal breaker, just added as some feedback. For us, we missed having a table in the lounge to do a holiday jigsaw and play games on. It was difficult to use the kitchen table for a jigsaw as we needed to use it for dinning. The only other issue for us was the garden wasn’t fully secure for our dog as she is an escape artist.

Has everything we look for in a cottage. Very clean, peaceful and has everything you could need for your stay . 5 stars all day long for us . Very dog friendly with enclosed garden. A lot of the feedback summarises very well what you get with this property, clean, comfortable and well appointed plus had the unexpected surprise of it being decorated for Christmas.

Met the owners a couple of times who wanted to make sure all was well and were happy to chat and advise on the area and walks around the farm. Hall Farm is certainly somewhere I plan to return to.

The owners were extremely welcoming to their beautiful property and grounds.

The accommodations was clean and comfortable and had excellent facilities. Also, we had our own private garden and ample parking. The grounds leading to the lake were very well maintained and we enjoyed long walks with our dog. We look forward to returning very shortly.

Just returned home from a lovely week staying at Hall Farm Cottage,on arrival found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and welcoming,its in a great location for exploring local countryside and coastal resorts, This was our first visit to Hall Farm and we will certainly be booking again,we met the owners Sally & James on a few occasions and they were lovely,the garden is fully enclosed so great for dogs, There is a small local shop in Legbourne selling necessities but for a bigger shop we found the Tesco on the way into Mablethorpe better than the Morrisons at Louth which is quite small, Overall a lovely relaxing week mainly due to cottage location and quality.

We had a lovely relaxing week at the cottage everything we needed was available - hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the one issue we did have was dealt with straight away.

The cottage was comfortable from the sofas to the beds although we managed to spend most of our time in the garden reading and watching the sheep! Lovely little walk to the fishing lake one day (on site) and not too far from places to visit. Somewhere we will def book again. Only thing I would say is it would be good to have a guest book in the cottage so previous guests can say where they have visited etc and share experiences - from previous cottage holidays this has helped us to decide whether to visit places and helped us to find places we may have otherwise missed. 2nd time going to this property and was not disappointed whatsoever ever in our return.

Beautiful property loved the walks in the fields and was able to walk this time to the pub which lovely to do. The added bonus of the lake is always lovely and so peaceful to forget everything. In a good location to visit many lots of things. The owners were amazing so helpful,friendly just what you need and property was everything you needed.So glad we were able to return here and hope to come many more times in the future. The welcome book needs redoing, a lot of text not readable.

The hoover didn't work, needs new battery. The loo brushes need replacing. The owner was lovely, very helpful, obviously cares about the property which is also nicely situated.

Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful surrounding, clean & had everything you would need.

We met both the owners who were lovely & very accommodating. Only thing is we found the 2 settees too low & hard to get up from although very comfy & the blinds in my bedroom let in a lot of light so found it hard to sleep after daybreak as I like a dark bedroom, but that’s just my personal preference. Beds were extremely comfy with lovely soft duvets. Lovely powerful shower. Water pressure a lot better than here at home sadly. The garden was perfect for the dogs & we loved seeing the sheep in the next field. The dogs were very intrigued with the robotic lawnmower lol. The lake on the farm is idyllic & we spent a lot of happy peaceful hours there taking a picnic with us. Hubby was sorry he hadn’t packed his fishing gear! Would highly recommend. All in all just the break we were looking for. Rest & relaxation. My choice was perfect! We left the cottage as we found it. Clean & tidy. I even hoovered before we left. ☺️

Hall farm cottage was really lovely, and in the perfect location, for travelling into Louth and surrounding areas, the cottage itself was clean and well equiped, few niggles with the cooking utensils, we only cook breakfast when away, oven trays were rusty and unusable, and nothing in the way of cloths to clean them, frying pan was definately not none stick, the dining chairs I found very uncomfortable.

The living room was a good size however the sofas were uncomfortable and they sunk down at the back. apart from that we had an enjoyable stay, the dog had a great time watching the sheep in the field

The cottage was very comfortable , spotless and well equipped .

Lovely hot water in the bathroom. Large well designed kitchen. The owners were most pleasant and quickly provided us with a radio when we mentioned this. Small suggestions for making the cottage even better would be a decent non stick fry pan , also milk pan and casserole dish. A visitors book would be useful for. Ideas for walks, meals out etc.

We had a great stay at Hall Farm cottage with our two grandsons.

The cottage is well equipped and a great base for exploring the area. The host was extremely helpful. The garden spaces are very private and we all enjoyed seeing the inquisitive sheep! Beach is accessible and plenty of interesting places to visit so weather does not stop excursions. We hope to return - with or without the children. Highly recommended.

A great Sykes cottage, as expected.

Worth commenting on: The hallway and utility room just inside the back door was perfect for us with our dog. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The welcome drinks were much appreciated. Sally was great on the evening when one of us needed access and had no key. The only negative issues we had were that the temperature control on the oven was inaccurate by about 20 degrees (too low) and a few old-school games would have been nice.

One of the best weeks holiday in a very quaint cottage with fantastic views and a great base to to explore the near by towns of Lincoln and Skegness and all the great walks in the Lincolnshire wolds.

The Cottage its self was amazing with the owners all ways willing to help if anything was needed. Both the wife and i have already decided that we will be booking this cottage again. A proper 5 star Holiday cottage in beautiful countryside

What a truly wonderful cosy, warm and very tasteful cottage this is with the most lovely friendliest couple who own it they can’t do enough to make your stay first class.

Everything is provided for you everywhere in the cottage.Needless to say we have booked again for later in the year! Thanks for having us and also for the very generous goodies.Plenty to do in the area for everybody.

Hall Farm cottage was lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location is excellent with nearby amenities only a short drive away and the Lincolnshire Wolds and coast close by. The rural setting is ideal for a quiet break with some pleasant walks from the cottage. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts throughout our stay. I would recommend Hall Farm Cottage highly and we will be very likely to return for another holiday there.

Another great stay at this lovely cottage which we have now had the pleasure of staying four times.

Sally is always on hand should you need her and always makes you so welcome, leaving lovely goodies and decorating the cottage for the Christmas period. The cottage is so cosy with a lovely wood burner in the lounge. The bedrooms are very comfortable with great views of the area. This is definitely a big favourite of ours and we have so many happy memories of Hall Farm Cottage.

Sally, the owner made us feel incredibly welcome with mulled wine, prosecco and beer as a lovely welcome gift. Cottage was ideal for bringing our two dogs with us and the walks close by where enjoyable in the snowy landscape. Won't hesitate to come for a third time!

Sarah and James were very helpful, friendly and approachable, there wasn't pages and pages of 'rules', we felt trusted to respect the property. It is in a beautiful, peaceful location where you could really appreciate the Lincolnshire big skies. There's plenty of space inside and outside too. I have to say its the best kitchen we've had in self catering cottages, we especially loved the huge fridge, room for everything. We were very impressed by the quality of furniture, equipment and the fine details that made it feel like home. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, plenty of cabinet space for all 4 of us to share and a great shower. Despite the cold weather outside we were always lovely and warm inside. Such a beautiful cottage and it's location was perfect .

The large secure garden was perfect for our dog so he could enjoy the outside without escaping. We loved our walks and found a pub about a 45min walk across the fields which was great. Couldn't fault the place and would definitely be going back again

Beautiful location which is exceptionally peaceful.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was like a home from home and had everything we needed and more to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. There was lots of information relating to local amenities, walks, restaurants and pubs. We accessed numerous dog friendly walks within short distance of the property which was also very dog friendly due to the enclosed garden which was surrounded by a huge field. This was the most tranquil and relaxing 5 night break we’ve had for a long time and will definitely return next year.

The cottage was as good as we’ve booked in 20+ years, traditional farming style but contemporary and very well appointed. Loved the property location, excellent country dog walks, quaint Louth town, and especially the Royal Oak pub, fab food and drinks at very reasonable prices. However, what we really loved was the owners fishing lake, great natural environment with an excellent stamp of fish, with carp to 12lbs+, tench to 3lbs+, roach to 2lbs+, and a bonus sturgeon to 18lbs+, tackle up to be safe. All in all a fab holiday, many thanks, Team Gibbs

Wonderful little house with all the space and amenities you need and the facilities for the dog were also fantastic. The location is perfect, nice and quiet but only a short journey to supermarkets and restaurants in Louth and the central position means you are never too far away from anything for exploring Lincolnshire!

We have just had one of our most restful and relaxing holidays.

Hall Farm cottage was a warm and comfortable home from home enjoyed by us and our dogs. The owner introduced herself to us on arrival and made us feel welcome. The location is very peaceful, the neighbouring 3 sheep kept a watchful eye on us from the field, and the sheep themed decor of the cottage adds to its charm. We know the coastal areas well and enjoyed several bracing beach walks at Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea and Cleethorpes. Louth and Horncastle are lovely towns with great independent shops offering a variety of purchasing opportunities. Our only suggestion, as we both enjoy reading and I like to knit in the evening, would be a change to the living room ceiling light which was quite dim (not sure if this was due to the wattage of the bulb or the colour of the lampshade?). We will definitely recommend Hall Farm Cottage and we hope to return late summer/autumn to enjoy a different seasonal break.

We enjoyed a lovely week with our dog to celebrate my hubby's birthday. The cottage was spotless and very well equipped. The welcome of beer and prosecco on arrival was a nice bonus. We had some lovely local walks and visited the coast too which is a short drive. Our only suggestion would be a bench at the front of the cottage as it's a real sun trap early morning and so peaceful. We would definitely recommend. It has been one of the best for us.

This is a lovely holiday cottage, a real home from home, and with loads of coastal and countryside attractions nearby.

The garden is ideal for those with dogs and catches the sun at different times of day. Our tiny Jack Russell did manage to get through a hole in the fence, but we had long lines with us so the sneaky little thing had to be satisfied with a slightly restricted runaround. The utility area was really useful and the rest of the cottage also very well kitted out. We would definitely like to book again.

Delightful clean cottage.

Lovely secure garden for our Molly. Comfortable seating and beds. Added bonus large tv with Netflix. James and Sally very friendly and made us welcome. Numerous places to visit inland and on the coast.

Beautiful property and surroundings.

Just a couple of things could have made our stay more comfortable: a proper grill pan as we had to create one from pans available. Blinds in the main bedroom for privacy and to keep room darker as only had light curtains. More plugs or extention lead in bedrooms so you can use hairdryer with easy access to the mirror and finally an extra lounger as it accommodates 4 and only had 2 lounge chairs and 4 were shown on pictures. Otherwise a lovely stay. We didnt want to leave and would love to come back. Thank you Sally and James for the Prosecco and Beer!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location yet within easy driving distance to local amenities and holiday beaches/country walks etc.

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed.

Loved watching the new lambs. Beds extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. Met Sally one of the owners... really friendly lady. Nice quiet area ,good roads for visiting Lincolnshire . If we visit in area again we wouldnt hesitate to book cottage again.

Fantastic little cottage really enjoyed our stay, was clean and loved the decor great facilities,garden was really big and fenced in our 2 dogs loved running round and playing, the views were amazing, the owner was very nice and helpful will definately be returning

We really enjoyed our stay.

It was so tranquil and the views so lovely. We used the fire everyday but the property was nice and warm. The bungalow had everything we needed and we loved seeing all the lambs! There was something that we couldn’t find - a visitors book. We always like to fill it in and also see what other people have said about places to eat, places to visit etc. Thanks for such a relaxing stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this property.

It is delightful, very warm and cosy and the location is great. Thanks to Sally and James for their warm welcome and help during the power cut! At the beginning of the week, while the weather allowed, we enjoyed sitting in the garden which is well equipped with seats and a picnic table. Nearby Louth is a good place to visit on a damp day and we recommend the food at the Louth Garden centre.

The cottage was very clean and warm everything you need to cook a meal only needed log burner twice good size enclosed garden for my little dog in a quiet location thank you for wine beer and duck eggs had them for breakfast big plus was the weather sorry about the wine glass

The owners,Sally & James, welcomed us with a bottle of fizz and two lagers.

The toaster unpredictably failed but was replaced within minutes. The weather was COLD but the central heating was HOT so we were very comfortable, so nice to have a really warm bathroom first thing. Also we enjoy the ambience of a living flame so lit the log burner each evening and Sally kept us supplied with logs for a very moderate price. Comfy lounge with TV and WIFI code to hand. On our list for a second visit. Louth - easily accessible by bus right from the cottage is one of those towns with lots of little streets full of interesting shops and GREAT food shops, especially the butcher, baker and The Cheese Shop all walkable from the bus station.

The owners were near by and attentive, when we had questions. Lovely quiet location. Note - there are two toilets!

Fantastic cosy cottage for a weekend away.

Finishing to touches of beer, Prosecco, eggs and tea/coffee making items was very much appreciated. Also, the thoughtfulness of the owners asking if we wish to arrive earlier than allocated time and an extra night. Apologies for not cleaning out the fire ashes but we couldn’t see where to empty them outside near the bins. Would recommend without hesitation.

We were made to feel very welcome by Sally and James.

The walks from the cottage were outstanding, our dog loved it. There are lots of places to eat nearby which are dog friendly. The cottage is clean, warm and really comfortable. We had a great time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hall Farm Cottage.

Sally and James were very welcoming and friendly with wine and beer on our arrival and fresh eggs during the week. The accommodation and location are superb and our son especially enjoyed learning to fish in the private lake. We would thoroughly recommend this lovely property.

The facilities and décor were of the highest standard and the attention to detail was outstanding.

The cottage was exceptionally clean and tastefully equipped, all the amenities were in full working order and looked brand new, especially the impressive VW fridge. The technology was great despite the rural location with good broadband and hi-spec TVs throughout the property. The hosts were attentive and available if needed, and the location was quiet, peaceful and surrounded by fields, with views across the Wolds and the ancient church to the back of the house. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage for anyone seeking to escape to the country for a quiet relaxing time to recharge, because that's is certainly what you get here. We had a brilliant time thank you to our great hosts.

We would like to thank James and Sally very much for a lovely stay in there cottage it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable the log fire was warm and cosy in the evenings.

We really enjoy the fresh Duck and chickens eggs that sally gave us had them for breakfast. our two dogs loved the enclosed garden and the walks up to the fishing lake. There was all you needed in the kitchen to prepare a lovely meal and the bottle of Prosecco and flowers was a lovely surprise. James and sally was aways happy to help you if needed any think like more logs for the fire or were the local pub and shop is. There is a lovely beach at Mablethorpe our dogs loved it we had great fish and chips there to. Lincoln is a nice place to visit with it’s Cathedral and castle and the independent shops on steep hill is a good day out. Gunby Estate Hall and gardens is all so Worth a visit it’s National Trust. we would highly recommend a stay at this lovely cottage and we will be booking again when going to Lincolnshire. James and sally are great hosts thanks again for letting us stay at your cottage we had a great holiday just what we wanted dot and duke say thanks to.

This dog friendly cottage on a beautiful working farm with a large fenced off garden and private parking area exceeded our expectations in every way, from the cosy, modern lounge with wood-burner, to the well equipped, immaculate kitchen. Hosts (Sally and James) were most welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. Flowers, beer/wine, tea/coffee on arrival, plus delicious, fresh hen and duck eggs. Lovely walks around their farm/land too. Highly recommended and we will definitely be visiting again.
