We had a lovely, peaceful stay in a beautiful location with stunning views.

The accommodation was clean, tidy, and we received a warm, friendly welcome. Our dogs absolutely loved the secure outdoor space, giving them the freedom to roam safely, making friends with the owners dog. We would definitely recommend it!

Mary and John were helpful throughout our stay.

Another fantastic stay at Shepard's hut.

Lovely hosts and a very tranquil setting. Perfect base for exploring Norfolk. We visited Brancaster beach and travelled over to Thrigby hall and BeWILDerwood. We love staying here.

Very friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was first class - comfortable with everything you would need. Outside garden with furniture was a real bonus. Wonderful location, peaceful and quiet yet close to many places to visit. Thank you John & Mary for a lovely stay. We will return.

Although the owners were extremely friendly the cottage itself needs an update.

The settee and chairs were very stained, the cooker was at least 50 yrs old not very clean. No toaster curtains were useless and the floors could have done with a good clean especially in the corners. This is the second time I have filled in this form.

This was out 2nd year at Shepherds Hut, John and Mary are the perfect hosts there’s nothing that’s too much trouble for them, ok there’s no Wi-Fi but that isn’t a problem for us, the cottage is like home from home but it’s so quiet and peaceful with only birdsong and the occasional planes flying over.

The cottage itself is very comfortable and has everything you need for a great holiday, situated in the countryside with easy access to many beautiful places such as sandringham and many of the lovely beaches on the Norfolk coast and more, I highly recommend this lovely cottage.

Excellent location for a base.

Quiet and rural with lovely views over the fields. Deer seen strolling the fields and paddock. Slight problem with interior doors not latching closed but this was dealt with promptly by the owners. Great closed in area for the dogs which really enjoyed playing with little Ted, the owners Jack Russell. Will be booking again.

This was our second visit.

Hosts were lovely, friendly and quickly resolved a minor issue we had. The cottage is comfortable and has everything we needed, apart from WiFi, but it was also nice to be 'tech free', so wasn't a problem. The secure garden is excellent and much appreciated by our escapologist dog! Great base for exploring a multitude of areas.

Cottage was warm and comfy.

Owners very friendly. Kitchen probably needs refitting and definitely a new cooker so you can at least read the dials. However was ideal for what we needed.

Very comfortable home, from the seating in the lounge which are all recliners to bedding that had a wonderful scent which stayed on it all week!

A well resourced kitchen and bathroom. The area was very peaceful and local people very friendly. Can’t understand why it is such good value for money, it’s a real bargain, thanks Mary and John for a wonderful visit.

I can’t fault the property or owners, we had a great relaxing quiet holiday, all we could hear were the birds singing.

John and Mary were so helpful, nothing was too much of a problem, there little jack Russell Ted had a great time playing with our dogs in the huge garden. I woke up every morning to a beautiful view of countryside and horses, it was lovely sitting outside drinking coffee and taking in the view. I have already booked for next year so obviously I definitely recommend Shepherds Hut.

Our week at Shepard’s Hut was excellent.

The cottage is clean and very comfortable, both the furniture and the bed. It’s a very rural location and the scenery is beautiful with horses in the field nearby. The owners, Mary and John, are very pleasant and helpful and their young Jack Russell is very friendly too and got on well with our elderly dog. The lack of Wi-Fi didn't bother us at all as we knew in advance and went prepared. We will certainly book again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for a very relaxing holiday. Thank you Mary and John.

Very comfortable accommodation in a lovely rural setting, but still close enough to all amenities.

The secure garden was ideal for our JRT Cooper, who loved meeting the chickens, and gave him plenty of room to chase his ball.Great base for exploring the many places of interest in the surrounding area. Though it's not a deal breaker, the cottage would benefit from having a toaster (as using the grill whilst cooking on the hob isn't ideal). To elevate this property to get 100% Five stars the addition of Internet access should be considered. That aside, we had a fantastic time and would definitely return. We found the property was clean and tidy and well looked after all facilities good the only thing I can say is that there was no hairdryer and no internet so had to increase my mobile data but I would recommend the property to my family and friends

We love peace and quiet and that's what we got, great location to walk the lanes and sea wall, and close to King's Lynn and Sandringham

Need better catches on the doors other than that everything was Spot On and the cottage was very clean and very comfortable

We had a lovely relaxing break away from our normal life here, the place was clean and as expected, the location was perfect for us, very rural but not far to go anywhere by car.

The owners were close by and were very friendly, when passed them they would say hello and checked we were OK.

Lovely peaceful bungalow with amazing views of open countryside.

Large enclosed garden - great for our dog to run around. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and lovely shower. Some lovely countryside walks nearby. We will definitely consider returning in the future.

Mr and Mrs Ewing were very welcoming and super helpful during our stay.

The large enclosed garden was a perfect place for our Doberman to burn off some energy. The area is commutable to quite a few beaches and shops/amenities and we had a fantastic time even with a hit and Miss weather. Would highly recommend the place. The only thing you need to be mindful of is there is no toaster or washing machine, hence a bit of improvisation needed if you are on a longer stay. overall, a nice experience and we would definitely be coming again.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 'Sheppard's Hut'.

It was situated in open countryside with lovely view's of the surrounding area. The couple who owned the property couldn't have been more friendly ans we would be happy to return.

The Ewings were very helpful and friendly.

The only thing missing was a toaster.

This is a lovely, peaceful bungalow in a very rural location.

Although the kitchen might appear dated we found it more than adequate for a week of self-catering. The important things were clean (bedding, towels, bathroom) but a little more attention to detail, especially in removing dog hair from carpets, would have been welcome. The views from the kitchen and double bedroom are lovely, overlooking fields towards The Wash, but we found the view from the lounge to be a touch miserable, with the main window facing the owners' huge garage wall. Renters should now be aware that the owners have a CL (certified location) directly in front of the lovely view from the bedroom window which means that there could be up to 5 motor homes or caravans parked up, obscuring your view and potentially undermining your privacy. All in all this was a nice little cottage with friendly owners, and we'd happily consider coming back.

Loved it here, we stayed for 2 nights new years eve and just been there for another 7 days, very rural and only an hour away from family as we live in wales now so perfect location.

The kitchen is quite old fashioned but we love it as takes me back to my childhood, there was a bath in the bathroom but has now been updated to a shower, I prefer the bath but won't stop us going back. The owners are lovely and helpful, our 6 year old son loves the hens and he sleeps like a log in the comfy bed. Will be returning many times in the future. Ann, Leroy and Devon.

A very nice place to stay but unfortunately the kitchen and bathroom need updating as looking tired and kitchen units date back to the 70-80’s.

The owners are aware of this and the enclosed garden is a very big area which is shared with their dogs. The owners are very nice people and will accommodate you as best they can so don’t be put off. There is no Wi-Fi which didn’t bother my wife and I cause we just sat around and read most of the time.

Lovely relaxing time away from the city Internet WiFi signal on phone was hit or miss but not to worried Great walks around area but be aware no street lighting if taking dog for last walk of day

The location was excellent, especially the garden which was superb for our dog!

The bungalow facilities were adequate but feel the bathroom and kitchen are both in need of an upgrade - also a bigger mirror in one of the rooms would have been useful. But we would look forward to staying here again as it's location was wonderful.

The cottage is in a lovely position, very nice sitting outside with a smashing view, wild birds, horses, and chickens to amuse you.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. There are walks along lovely lanes straight from the cottage. The nearest village (2 miles) has a great bakers and butchers, a co-op and two pubs. Unfortunately the cottage has a few issues. Both the kitchen and bathroom need a good makeover. The bathroom needs a new suite and a proper shower, and the kitchen a new cooker, also a toaster would have been handy.the microwave is unusable on top of the massive fridge freezer. The mirror in the bathroom is too high, and the one in the bedroom too low...we had a good stay but If these issues were sorted we would have had a great stay and it would be a cracking cottage. These are constructive criticisms to help the owners improve the cottage.

Kitchen well presented and all you needed, bathroom was clean, but with the bath it was high sided and slim fitted.

The shower was mixer tap, it was challenging could do with a shower cubicle. At Although hot water plentiful being a mixer was difficult to gauge it, very hot or cold. Not good for younger children. Being on one level would be idea for someone with mobility issues but bathing would be issue. The owners were more than helpful. Not overlooked quiet and the scenery spectacular. Well worth it. Lovely and relaxing.

Lovely with the children and let my little boy help with feeding their very free range chickens! Waking up to the scenery and chickens in the garden was blissful. No WiFi so the kids had to stay off their devices which was heaven and at night there is no light pollution so stargazing is a must! 10/10 stay would definitely book again!

A bit dated but very good value with friendly owners.

Safe garden and field for our very excitable lab puppy. Lots of walks and as weather was kind were able to sit and have coffee outside looking out over the countryside. Recommended for a peaceful break.

The holiday was great it was so peaceful.

What my wife and i really liked there was NO INTNET the kids had to find things to do that they would normally do. We ware very lucky with the weather it was dry most of the time. Mary the owner was very helpful the kids loved the horses and chickens there was a dog walk alongside the property. It was central enough to visit the beaches and Sandringham House and Norwich the only thing we could see to improve the stay would be a microwave and a couple of garden chairs

Very helpful too. Great spot to have some quality family time and the space is lovely and comfortable, just a bit dated. Lovely green garden to enjoy too with great days out near by.

The cottage itself was OK, but it smelt very fusty in a rather unpleasent way.

Lovely welcome from the host.

Overlooks fields and is in a quiet spot. Not far off main road to access North Norfolk coast, especially of you are wanting to do bird watching. Lots of walks in the area. I think the kitchen would benefit from a microwave and the sitting room a table or floor lamp, as it was hard on the eyes to watch TV when the evenings were getting darker.

The bungalow was very comfortable and in a quiet and peacefull location.

It suited us well as it was in easy reach of the places we wanted to visit. Mary was very welcoming and friendly. The only minor disadvantage was that there was no microwave but we managed without it.

The owners were friendly and helpful without being pushy. Our kids enjoyed the open space outside and the occasional stray chicken. The only downsides were a broken DVD player and no proper shower. Would certainly consider staying again.

We only had a problem in the first place trying to find the place. This was not a fault of the details we received but one lane was not signposted. The owner kindly came out and looked for us.

The pictures and description of the property are very misleading. No four poster bed. The sofa is not as nice. The furniture is outdated and grubby. I was told the garden was secure for dogs but it certainly was NOT. The pictures show hedges around the property but the garden was part fenced and the rest of it was not at all. If I had been told this I would not have booked it.

not really the lady that owns sheperds hut was very pleasent and friendly even though we only saw her when we arrived would recomend.

The Sheppards hut is a lovely comfortable place to stay.

It is unfortunately some distance from the village. The listing is a little outdated. The bedrooms have been swopped around and the four poster bed has disappeared.The lounge/diner has again been moved around and has a different suite also a flat screen tv with free sat. All these alterations make it better than the listing. One downside, there was no microwave. The owner is a lovely lady who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Had a great, relaxing week

It lacked a shower curtain to allow the proper use of shower hose, and no microwave.

The toilet was extremely difficult to flush. It was advertised as having a four poster bed, there was none.

The cottage was quiet, cosy and met all our needs.

The owner made us welcome. The only real problem was that the directions to the cottage were very poor. We were unable to locate any of the named roads mentioned in the directions, and subsequently found that some road name plaques were missing. The cottage is located quite some way out of the village of Terrington St Clements.
