Woodbine Cottage

I booked Woodbine Cottage as a last minute break for my partner and I.

I was a little uncertain as to how suitable it would be for us, as we can find low ceiling properties a little oppressive, plus the details suggested it was a little more remote than we'd prefer. That said, we had a fantastic stay. The property itself was anything but oppressive, with a cosy lounge and kitchen area (which we used mainly in the evening) and a bright conservatory overlooking the gorgeous garden (which we tended to sit in during the day). The 5 minute drive to Wragby was easy to navigate and the roads were very quiet during our stay (Tuesday-Friday), so whilst there were a few single track roads we only had to stop to allow other cars to pass on 1-2 occasions. The cottage was spotless, and on our arrival we were greeted with a little hamper with some much appreciated goodies (including a loaf of Lincolnshire plum bread, which we'd never had before. It was delicious). I can highly recommend this cottage. It had everything we needed and provided us with a quiet and relaxing place to unwind.

Woodbine Cottage was wonderful!

I only just cleared the beam in the downstairs room (I am only 5'7"), had to duck at the back kitchen door, loved the stairs and the narrow corridor and the attic room would have been a childhood delight! Our dog loved the garden and the walks. All around we (all three of us) loved the cottage, the area, the lot. We would have happily taken up permanent residence. Thanks for the chance to find that out. The only thing I missed in the kitchen was a wee set of scales, but, hey, guess-timation worked OK

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this lovely little cottage, although we didn't actually make it till the Tuesday, we soon started to relax in this beautiful quiet peaceful location,

What a lovely characterful cottage.

There was a thoughtful welcome pack on arrival which we both really enjoyed. The furniture was of good quality and a super comfortable leather sofa that we spent many hours on. The cottage was nice and clean with everything in good order. This little place has so much charm I'm not really sure how to put it into words. We really did have a wonderful stay. Thank you

The cottage and stay was perfect.

The negativity for us was the way we were accused of burning the attic bedroom carpet. A room we never went into or used. It was obvious which rooms we used.

so quiet and peaceful. Cottage was very equipped with everything you needed. Nice extras like welcome back which included milk, butter, jam, crisps etc. Also provided toiletries. Good communication with the owner as well.

Lovely cottage, well presented, warm and cosy (we were there in October).

Well located for visiting Lincoln & the coast. Ideal for two adults, with or without children, but it would be a bit cramped for four adults, especially upstairs and with only one bathroom/loo. Note to owners - we were very conscious of the parking, being on the lawn in wet weather. It would be more comfortable to park if there were a couple of tracks laid in the grass similar to the path.

We found this a well equipped and comfortable place to stay for week.

Full of character, clean and well equipped, we couldn’t have asked for more. Situated in a very remote and quiet location was perfect for us. Wragby is just 3 miles away with a couple of pubs, Co-op and a chippy. Great base to explore the Wolds and beyond and only 25 mins from Lincoln.

The welcome basket was lovely.

As were the range of bathroom products. The cottage was extremely well stocked... there wasn't anything overlooked! The cottage is beautifully peaceful & out of the way frim the hustle & bustle of busy every day lives. Thankyou!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Woodbine Cottage, so much so we stayed an extra week.

The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay in the Lincolnshire Wolds. The welcome pack of goodies on arrival was very thoughtful and made us feel at home straightaway. Positioned in a beautiful quiet hamlet. We enjoyed cycling on the long flat country roads, a great way to explore this beautiful area of Lincolnshire and a few trips to the coast by car. Local amenities are approx 3 miles away in Wragby or Market Rasan for larger supermarket. We had a great holiday and would definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful cottage in a lovely rural location.

The hosts live next door and were friendly and helpful. There was a thoughtful welcome pack which we appreciated. This is an ideal place for a relaxed break. Mind your head on the low beams though! Please note that you are 2 miles from the main road and 3 miles from the nearest town (Wragby). There are no shops or pubs in the village.

Bonus to get a welcome pack including local bread, cheese, milk etc..(the cheese was delicious and we would recommend a visit to Cote Hill Farm to pick up some more from their vending machines, we did and are enjoying it still now we're home in Scotland!) Location was perfect, very central for exploring Lincolnshire and beyond. Off street parking and secure back garden meant our pup was safe too. Highly recommended, wouldn't hesitate to rebook when we're next in the area....

A delightful cottage, very cute and full of charm.

Exceptionally clean and well equipped with a lovely welcome pack (including that all important pint of milk so you can put the kettle on straight away) and thoughtful little extras in the bathroom. We would highly recommend this cottage and it gave us a much need break where we could relax and recharge in a lovely quite area. Definitely hope to go back.

Woodbine Cottage in West Torrington is really quaint and comfortable.

Lovely welcome pack to get you started and loads more extras such as tea bags, dishwasher tabs etc. You only need to turn up with your suitcases as everything has been catered for. We hired the cottage just before Christmas to meet up with our family who live in the area and we hosted an early Christmas lunch with them at the cottage. Plenty of room for six and a dog. Heather and Daniel the owners were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely book the cottage again. Also the garden is dog friendly and secure.

It’s a very cute snug cottage, well laid out and generously equipped with household items.

The owner was quick to respond to requests, but we did have an ongoing problem with some wasps which was a worry. The mattress in the small middle floor bedroom was rather thin. Other than those last 2 things we really did have an excellent stay, thank you

our stay at woodbine cottage was fantastic, so lovley and clean, cosy and comfy and our dog loved the garden, the welcome pack was an added bonus that we didn't expect, with local cheese and plum loaf,and all the little touches witch made it so welcoming, we never knew Lincolnshire is so stunning, we really hope to go back next year.

Lovely cottage in a very peaceful location.

It was extremely clean, comfortable and inviting. The welcome pack was very welcome, especially the delicious local cheese! Our dog Jasper also enjoyed the garden and the toys that the owners provided. Great location for exploring the local area- only 20 mins from Lincoln park and ride. We would definitely recommend this cottage. Thank you for having us.

The garden was lovely all enclosed .Ideal for our dog Zeb to run and play in.. The cottage was well equiped the owners had thought of everything including a lovely welcome pack which we have never experienced before. We had a lovely holiday at Woodbine cottage ,despite the weather trying to ruin it for us (Lincs wettest place in the country!

!) The cottage had everything you could want and the kitchen was a joy to cook in, so great to have good quality pots & pans to use. Lovely dog friendly enclosed rear garden just a shame we couldn't use it. We couldn't get over how quiet it was either, just birdsong to wake up to in the morning. Despite the weather we would return to Lincolnshire, we found plenty to do Gunby Estate well worth a visit, dog friendly, the Windmill at Heckington very interesting and we loved Willingham woods, great walking even in the rain !! Special thanks to the owners for the wonderful welcome pack & for fixing the TV during our stay.

An attractive quirky cottage with its beams and period features we were warm and comfortable throughout our stay.

The garden room at the rear catches the sun and overlooks the enclosed and dog safe garden. The cottage is well equipped. The owners are very helpful and considerate and their welcome pack includes basic essentials and more. In delightfully peaceful rural surroundings the cottage is roughly midway between Lincoln and the lovely old market town of Louth with everyday essentials available a couple of miles away in Wragby. The pub there does good food and is dog friendly.

Just a couple of points: (i) The cottage is fantastically well equipped with all new cooking utensils.

Fantastic! (ii) If you put Woodbine Cottage into a google maps search you get a place close by which is on Station Road South Willington. Your details are clear that this cottage is in West Torringto, although this doesn't come up on google maps, so it might be worth just mentioning specifically that this is not the cottage listed in google maps in South Willington...for people like me who haven't downloaded the instructions prior to leaving! Thanks.

It is a beautiful, comfortable, and immaculately presented cottage.

We each tried to think of something that the owners had maybe forgotten to include, but we couldn't come up with anything at all. The "Welcome" package was excellent, and generous, and we enjoyed our stay enormously.

Whilst this was a great cottage, well equiped and very clean we when to lincolnshire for 2 reasons & completed both.

The cottage was every thing you could ask for and more. We would recommend it to friends, family and everyone!!! Heather & Daniel are great hosts. Please pass this report on to them with our very best wishes.

Woodbine Cottage has cosy, comfy charm with plenty of living space inside and outside.

Very well-equipped, modern kitchen and bathroom. The hosts provided a welcome pack of local goodies and essentials and there were even fresh flowers. An extra delight was finding white fluffy robes in the wardrobe. Situated in a very quiet hamlet with numerous footpaths to explore, yet in easy reach of Lincoln and The Wolds. The hosts provided local guides, maps, walking routes and information covering the wider area. Lots of thought has gone into providing a home from home, and each little thought was appreciated.

We had a great time at the cottage.

It was extremely quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we were after and the garden was big enough for our dog to run around and utilize to the full. The owners were friendly and were close by in case we needed anything. Would definitely go back to the cottage.

Child friendly and had lots of little things to amuse the kids considering the remote location. We had a lovely time there and the owners were nearby to offer local advice and information on the area also.

Woodbine cottage is a very beautiful cottage in a quite location, very sad we were not able to enjoy it more, we were there only for a week but traveling a lot of the time around Lincolnshire looking at property so it was a very stressful week for us.

But the cottage was a lovely place to come back to which helped to distress from a very full on day. It has everything to offer from a home to home experience. The owners of the property go out of their way to make you welcome including leaving a welcome basket which was a lovely touch.

A wonderful little cottage, perfect for a family of four.

.but fantastic for a couple. It was warm, cosy and kitted out perfectly. Everything had been thought of, the garden is spacious and private. The owners live adjacent and will help if you need it but also don't interfere at all. There are plenty of walks from the cottage, maps provided; overall it is really peaceful. I loved it, perfect respite thank you

The situation is ideal for exploring the best parts of Lincolnshire including Lincoln itself, the Wolds and the coast. The cottage is quaint and quirky but well modernised with a very practical kitchen and quality furniture and equipment Highly recommended!
