• "Fantastic location for an apartment that is beautifully furnished and has everything you need."

  Stunning views out the front. Owners are extremely helpful. On-road parking was really easy, and the property is highly accessible. Very much recommend Beach Haven and we will look to stay again in the future.

• "Fantastic location - directly opposite the beach and near the beautiful castle grounds."

  Comfortable, clean, spacious and tastefully decorated accommodation - and really appreciated the welcome pack of essentials and bottle of wine! Easy to communicate with the owner throughout and we received a courtesy call to check we'd arrived and if we needed anything. So sad to leave after a wonderful week of sunshine in Aberystwyth - and we definitely hope to return in the future.

• "We were very disappointed as the property was covered in scaffolding which had a ladder obstructing the entrance."

  It made the front room dark and gave us a very limited view. The properly as a whole is dark and the kitchen area required a light at all times. The bathroom is very small and it is difficult to keep the shower from soaking the floor, personally I would not consider it adequate for a family. As a footnote after contacting the owner the scaffolding was removed on Wednesday , but that really only gave us a day and a half of not needing a light in the front room. I feel the Sykes has given it too high, and not honest re very limited kitchen and tiny bathroom. I did not consider it good value.

As soon as you contacted us, we immediately contacted the scaffolding company several times and continued to chase them until it was removed. Although the delay was entirely outside our control, we appreciate it impacted your enjoyment, and we were pleased it could be removed during your stay. We are sorry that you found the bathroom smaller than expected. Had we been made aware of any difficulties with the shower during your stay, we would have done everything possible to assist. Beach Haven has welcomed many families and has consistently received very positive feedback for its spacious accommodation, cleanliness, comfort and exceptional beachfront location. We understand that every guest's preferences are different, but we hope future guests will also consider the many reviews from visitors who have thoroughly enjoyed family holidays at the property. • "Wonderfully situated property."

  Right by the beach and a hut that sells teas, coffees, breakfast, cakes e.t.c. Short walk to shops and supermarkets. A choice of Lidl, Tesco or M & S food hall. Wonderful steam train journey within easy walking distance. The property itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Just a couple of niggles: the shower cubicle needed a petition all the way round with a sliding door as the short glass petition didn't hold water in and bathroom flooded every time I had a shower, making it slippery and dangerous. Couldn't work out how to use cooker and microwave and couldn't find any manuals or instructions for these appliances. On the whole great!

• "Beach Haven was a good flat with spacious rooms, very clean."

  Being on the promenade was excellent - straight out of the front door and onto the beach...Although there is parking on the road outside , this was sometimes difficult , especially being half term .A folder with information on the oven , microwave etc also nearest doctor, chemist etc would be useful..

• "Lovely relaxing holiday Just returned from a week's stay at Beach Haven."

  The apt is in a good location being a 15 min walk from the railway station with a nice walk into town through the castle grounds. Apt was very clean with good sized lounge and bedrooms and well equipped kitchen. Thought we would mention that the tv had 3 dark patches on the screen but did not affect our viewing too much. Bathroom had a very roomy walk in shower which we really liked, but think the windows in the corridor outside the bathroom should have blinds on as overlooked by hotel windows next door. We would definitely recommend a stay at Beach Haven

• "Second time I have stayed here in 6 weeks."

  A wonderful spacious and warm property. Fabulous beach-front location, great for listening to the sounds of the waves which is good for the soul. Perfect place to unwind but great space for working remotely interspersed with great dog walks! Simple stroll into the main town area - Aberystwyth now has lots of great food options. Great hosts too who reacted promptly to all communication

• "We stayed at Beach Haven for a whole month while I was working in the area."

  It was exceptionally cosy and clean and we loved all the little details in the flat, especially all the books and artwork! We absolutely loved waking up every morning to the sea, and even though it was Novemeber we were able to make use of the firewood to have a beach bonfire and got to appreciate some sunsets from the comfort of the living room. The huge TV was an absolute treat too! We really felt at home and were so sad to leave, but hope to stay again next time we come back to Aberystwyth as it has been the best place we have stayed locally so far. The hosts were lovely and even kindly offered to clean and replace towels etc half way through the stay. Thank you so much for having us!

• "Summary ======= I stayed here for a week with my wife at the end of September."

  The cottage was comfortable and well furnished. The location was really good, being right on the seafront with great views. Although there is no allocated parking, we were able to park on the same street, no further than 30 yards from the front door every day, and spaces become available all the time due to the comings and goings of residents and beach visitors. Would we stay again? Definitely Yes. This was our first visit to Aberystwyth and we liked the town very much, so will probably return. On our next visit we will stay in this flat if it’s available. It’s comfortable and well located. More Detail ========= What we liked… + Flat was clean and comfortable with spacious rooms. + Well furnished. + Good walk in shower. + The TV was gigantic which was a novelty for us. + Great location right next to south beach. Good beach cafe about 50 yards from the front door and was open from 8am until at least 6pm, probably longer. + The town centre shops and railway station were around a 10 minute walk, or 2 minute drive. + The heating worked well, so would seem suitable for out of summer season visits. + not that we needed it, but we did notice there was a disabled parking section available very close to the flat. Some minor negative points….. - no instructions or guidance notes for anything - well we never found them, if they did exist. We normally find that holiday flats that we stay in have basic instructions for this and that. A couple of questions we did have were answered by the owner though via text message, so no real issue. The owners son lives nearby and was also able to help. - The communal entrance hall for the 3 flats in the same building was a bit shabby so on arrival the first impressions weren’t great, but the flat itself, once inside is very good as previously stated.

• "Lovely spacious flat, well decorated and clean and tidy and felt like home to home."

  Nice little extra touch of having games and books available for entertainment. Lovely little welcome pack making the experience more special. Lovely kitchen area, we did end up buying a suitable sized frying pan to cook other than that had all the equipment required needed. Owner very quick to answer our queries during stay. Will be booking again soon

  We were very comfortable, location was brilliant, the property was extremely clean, but most of all our grandson, who is disabled gave it the thumbs up, particularly the huge tv screen, he signed that it was his holiday home, what more can we ask for

• "This is indeed a lbeach haven."

  Its a lovely spacious flat, perfectly positioned on the quieter south beach and next to the castle, which is free to visit. It's been tastefully decorated in keeping with the period building with a modern bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and huge TV. Everything was spotless and high quality, with some beautiful furniture. The host was very helpful and has gone above and beyond to provide everything needed for a break by the sea. There were lots of games and books and the beach is on the doorstep. I enjoyed reading the book on types of clouds. The flat is about 10 minutes walk from the pier and main part of town, and near the marina, so there's lots to see and it's perfect for family days on the beach. We enjoyed our time in Aberystwyth at Beach Haven.
