Offering high-quality accommodation that is ideal for families and friends seeking a memorable retreat, boasting a partial ground-floor living, a bubbling hot tub and social open-plan layout.
When you arrive at Maple Lodge, you pull into the parking area and take in the impressive timber exterior that rises from its natural setting.
The decking stretches across the front and leads your eye to the hot tub that waits for evenings beneath the changing sky.
As you step out of the car, the surrounding hills and the gentle movement of the nearby river create an uplifting sense of arrival.
Walking towards the entrance, the garden opens out around you, setting the tone for a memorable stay.
Step inside where the open‑plan living space immediately draws you in.
The oak flooring guides you forward, and the patterned wallpaper adds depth and character to the room.
The large corner sofa offers space for everyone to gather, and the mounted TV above the rug forms a natural focal point for relaxed evenings.
The styling gives the space a sense of refinement that feels both warm and thoughtfully curated, making it easy to unwind from the moment you enter.
The kitchen flows from this area, offering everything you need for unhurried breakfasts and leisurely dinners, while the wooden dining table seats the group for evenings that drift long after the last plate is cleared.
Hints of contemporary design are woven subtly throughout the space, creating a retreat that feels harmonious with its natural surroundings.
Continue through to the ground‑floor twin bedroom where patterned wallpaper softens the space and gives it a welcoming feel.
From here you can refresh in the ground‑floor shower room, home to a walk‑in shower, basin and WC.
Head upstairs along the carpeted staircase where a Velux window brightens the landing with daylight.
The first‑floor bathroom also features a Velux window, inviting natural light to illuminate the space as the day begins.
The first‑floor twin bedroom showcases patterned wallpaper and a Juliette balcony for letting in the fresh countryside air.
The spacious double bedroom also offers patterned wallpaper and its own Juliette balcony, giving you a charming outlook from sunrise to dusk.
Return outside where the decked area becomes your favourite place to gather.
The hot tub sits perfectly positioned for sinking into the warm water beneath the stars, and the surrounding natural scenery wraps gently around the lodge, creating a feeling of escape that enhances every moment spent here.
The garden extends around the lodge and blends into the countryside beyond, ideal for dogs to explore under watchful eyes.

What guests are saying
The property it self was lovely and the gift of milk & biscuits ensured we could have a cup of tea on arrival before going shopping for provisions.
Maple Lodge does need more cooking utensils, no spatula / wooden spoon or tongs provided. There was a distinct lack of information, no instructions regarding waste / recycling, the hot tub or sauna or even the WIFI code! The key safe information was not available to us before arrival, which caused uncertainty and stress at the start of our holiday. Clearer and earlier arrival information would have improved the experience. Which I duly did only to have a AI answer phone hang up on me 3 times! I contacted Skyes cotages which ask for 48hrs notice on the morning of our stay for collection details. Fortunately my calls to the original number that morning finally got a response as someone phoned back having had a missed call. (4 or 5 missed calls in total before any response) they did give me the keysafe details saying they normally send an hour before the stay!!! Why have a phone number to call and not just send email or text a few days before the stay? In Wales there is often no signal or internet so picking up last minute messages is hard! Sykes cottages got back to me the following day (48hrs as advertised) but this would have been too late if the lady hadn’t got round to phoning me back. The stress of not having the key safe information was not a good start to our break and was the main thing that let the property down. I recommend anyone staying to contacting for key safe instructions to do so several days in advance and not the 24hrs requested! As I said the property itself was lovely and I would definitely stay again.
