• "A superb property in a glorious setting."

  We were welcomed by Bernice, the owner, who very quickly made us feel at home. Our stay in Tegid Lakeside was most enjoyable - almost like being aboard a ship - and we would very much like a return visit.

• "FABULOUS..."

  If your looking for great walks scenery. Quiet and peaceful. A fab host in Beatrice. Comfortable and cosy apartment right on lake. We would like to keep it a secret but fabulous place for us to stay and recharge our energies. Even if weather was against us. We felt so lucky to stay there.

• "We had a fabulous short stay in Tegid this October."

  It was just warm enough for me to swim in the lake, and the apartment balcony leads directly onto the lakeshore. Magical! The self-contained apartment is very well set up, with a separate bedroom, kitchenette/lounge area and wetroom with a large shower. Both the bedroom and the lounge open onto the covered balcony, with chairs outside so you can enjoy the glorious air and views. Owner Beatrice is really helpful and very welcoming. There's tea, coffee, milk and biccies to greet you on arrival. We tend to eat main meals in town (can recommend Cafe Cyffnod and Plas yn Dre) and the multi-oven and toaster are more than sufficient for breakfast and light meals. You can hear some sounds from the other apartments and above, but it's never been intrusive or a problem - and we've stayed in different apartments here for many years! There's plenty of parking away from the road, zero traffic noise and all the comforts of home. At night, with the window open, the only sounds are the water in the lake, the wind in the trees, and wildlife. It's fabulous.

• "Really enjoyed our stay in Tegid."

  Apartment was lovely, very clean, very comfortable n warm. View from lounge and bedroom outstanding and great location for days out to Barmouth etc. Would defo recommend to friends and family. Owners were lovely and friendly

• "Really lovely, friendly hosts, amazing location and views."

  We had a great stay, visiting the nearby mountain ranges for hiking interspersed with relaxing on our balcony looking over the lake and swimming. There isn't a hob in the apartment, only a combination microwave and oven or slow cooker. We took our pressure cooker, as we're vegetarian and we were perfectly content. There are shops a mile or two away in Bala town, with a really friendly and well stocked green grocers. We would love to come back again.

• "Another lovely stay by the lake - and our first time in the Tegid apartment."

  Entirely comfortable and spacious; great facilities. The internet connection has definitely improved! Lovely to meet the new host, Beatrice, and the gardens are looking much happier. A great place to stay if you're a swimmer like me - even though the weather wasn't too warm the water was wonderfully fresh! (Although I admit I missed having a long soak in a hot bath after a swim...) The access to the lake from this apartment is superb, just a few steps away from the balcony. And I really appreciated the drip-rack to hang my soggy gear out to dry :-) Will definitely be back - thoroughly recommended.

• "We have just spent a wonderful week in Tegid apartment, which is right on the lake with easy access for a bit of wild swimming."

  Beatrice and Dennis were perfect hosts and on hand if needed. We cant forget the gorgeous Huni (the dog) who will give you a welcome if out on one of her strolls. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

• "We really enjoyed our stay."

  Our hosts were fantastic, so friendly, pleasant and helpful. The apartment was just what we needed for a much needed relaxing break. The apartment was very comfortable with the balcony becoming a regular place to sit with a drink each evening. The owners, having not owned the property for many months, are working on the garden that was apparently very overgrown, and is already a place to wander by the lakeside. There is also a summerhouse looking over the lake and woodland, with the Bala small gauge railway running directly behind the property. A place that we will be staying again for sure!

• "Had a fantastic stay in tegid apartment."

  Peaceful area, great view of the lake and the apartment was very spacious. Beatrice greeted us on arrival which is always nice. We didn't see much of her but she lives upstairs or was a phonecall away if we had any issues. Highly recommend staying in this apartment.

• "We had a lovely 5 night stay at Tegid."

  We were met by Briggitte when we arrived, who showed us to our apartment. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It had amazing views across the lake from both sets of patio doors- one from the bedroom and one from the lounge/dining area. Spacious parking facilities. There was perfectly adequate kitchen equipment for us to make breakfast and a couple of basic dinners. An omelette maker and slowcooker were provided but we didn't use them. The combination oven was easy to use and cooked everything nicely. No hob in the apartment, but a Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle were there. Lots of lovely hot water for showers after a long day walking, and a very comfy bed. Easy to walk into Bala town and we had dinner one night at the John Lewis hotel -which was in easy walking distance. All in all a lovely apartment, in a fabulous location. Highly recommended. We plan to return.
