Bishop's Castle Barn

The lay out of the converted barn is lovely, very sociable & the decor with little pops of colour finish it off nicely.

You can tell that a lot of hard work has gone into the building & continues to be well maintained. The views from the hot tub were beautiful & the sunset was amazing too! It was very clean & homely. The owners are a lovely couple, very welcoming & we would love to visit again (O: Libby & Pete

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful holiday home.

It was spotlessly clean and so well looked after—everything felt fresh and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The views across the countryside were stunning, and we even had sheep right outside the house, which added to the peaceful, rural charm. It was lovely and quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. And the hot tub—absolutely amazing! The perfect way to unwind while soaking in the surroundings. We didn’t want to leave and would love to return one day. Highly recommend!

A very well equipped and tidy cottage in a lovely location.

It made a great base for us to explore the Shropshire Hills. We loved the hot tub. The interior layout is a little eclectic but very practical, and had lots of space for two adults and two kids. We loved having games and puzzles provided and the map coffee table. We would love to visit again.

Lovely property with great amenities and lovely views.

Didn’t use the hot tub as the weather was poor but enjoyed long walks from the door.The EV charger was a bonus enabling us to start our return to Scotland on a full charge.We would recommend.

The barn is in a stunning location with beautiful panoramic views which you can enjoy while relaxing in the hot tub. It was spotless & well equipped. Tim was there to meet us & showed us how everything worked in the barn & then left us to enjoy our holiday, but was on hand if we needed anything. I would certainly stay again.

The barn was warm and cosy and had all mod cons. The views were simply stunning especially from the kitchen and hot tub. There are plenty of places to explore in the area. Would love to return in the future. Thanks to Tim and Andrea for a lovely stay.

A full length mirror in the 2nd bedroom would be ideal Fly screens in the bedrooms so that the windows could be opened for fresh air at nighttime A lovely property with fantastic views

General layout of interior is lovely.

Highlight of our holiday was opening the front door in the morning seeing sheep sleeping with their baby lambs on the grass. Beautiful views outside Property maintenance is needed inside & out. No dry food storage in the kitchen, had to use display shelf. Bedding old & tired. Pan was unusable, burnt. Oven tin unusable without parchment paper or tin foil. Decking broken in the corner next to railing, this could be a hazard just looks tired & needs updating. Just a few little maintenance jobs & it could be stunning.

A very comfortable barn conversion with amazing views and the bonus of a fabulous hot tub with those views.

A footpath starts right outside the barn with a 30 minute walk cross the fields with those views all the way to Bishops Castle and great food at the Castle Hotel. Vet quiet with unobtrusive owners next door who are there if needed otherwise you are left alone with just the local sheep for company the perfect get away location. While down a narrow lane it is very quiet with no traffic and a short gravel track to the barn which should be no problem for most cars Thanks Tim and Andrea for a great week

A great, well designed barn conversion in a fantastic peaceful setting.

As stated in the information supplied the approach road and stony drive down to the barn were quite narrow and steep but posed no problem for our car (SUV). The barn was well equipped and the hot tub on the raised decking was great. This was a good base for exploring the local area with plenty of things to see and do. Would happily recommend this property.

This was a fantastic venue.

It looked very good in the publicity but in reality it was far better than that. Clean, modern and cosy, it sat perched on the side of a hill looking down into the valley and on the hills beyond. The view from the kitchen window was like a framed picture and we were thrilled to see buzzards flying over the fields in front of us. Bishop's Castle is a charming small town which had all we needed.

What a fantastic place this is to stay.

The barn had all we needed..as well as some extra gadgets - we particularly appreciated the electronic opening/closing of the Velux blinds and windows given the heat this week. The views are magnificent. There is a lot to do in the area although the glorious weather kept is at the barn..the deck is shady with a warm breeze. Two teenage girls loved the hot tub in the later evenings when the weather cooled. Tim and Andrea..thank you. So kind, thoughtful and friendly. We hope to return.

I loved staying in the cottage a night before and 4 nights after our wedding.

It was very luxurious and the setting is incredie...I could sit in that hot tub and stare at that view for weeks...so peaceful. Would definitely recommend and Tim and Andrea were lovely and helpful. We want to go back already. Xxx

The landlord was very helpful getting our shopping order sorted for us so it was all there ready when we arrived. The cottage was spotless and had everything we wanted. Warm, comfortable and very peaceful. A great place to get away from it all.

Quality accommodation in a very rural setting along a gated track.

A comfortable grown up space offering peace and quiet with lovely country views ideal for couples. Bishop’s Castle is a great base for walking and cycling with lots of country pubs in the area. Planning required. We had a lovely stay enjoying the glorious weather and jumping into the hot tub after a day out walking and cycling. Hosts live next door and provided helpful accurate information in advance of our stay which is really comforting in these Covid times. Highly recommended if you like to get away from it all.

Lovely views, so relaxing. Gorgeous view from the hot tub and very easy to use. The barn was very clean and had everything we needed including lots of fab board games!! Super warm and cosy, perfect for a stress free get away!

Lovely Barn in a lovely area and very welcoming and friendly locals

We had a fantastic weekend in the barn.

We made full use of the BBQ and the hot tub, as well as the amazing surrounding countryside. We did a lovely 9 mile walk on the Saturday and then walked to a great pub called Bishop's Castle hotel, which the owner recommended us. Great beer garden! The barn was such a fantastic space, just right for the 4 os uf, with all the amenities you need. We loved how separate hot tub towels were provided, and the amazing shower and bluetooth speakers in the mirrors! Tim himself was lovely and very accomodating, answering all our queries promptly. We would highly recommend!!

Our holiday was fantastic.

The views, the accommodation, the beds and the hot tub all great and made our stay an absolute pleasure. I had fantastic company. Definitely one of my top holidays I've ever been on. I have been to many different places around the world and this one was the most relaxing. Also the jam and cake on arrival made us happy. Thank you Tim and Andrea.

A perfect cosy, retreat with a modern twist and a complete get away from everything if that is what you want and after 10 miles on Offa's Dyke, the hot tub was a real treat.

The surrounding views from the barn are superb and the visits from the local sheep every morning was a pleasure to see. Sadly, we were a bit too early for the imminent arrival of their lambs. Bishops Castle is a great little town, boasting 6 pubs individual shops. Great to see there had been no invasion of any high street shops. I would definitely recommend that wonderful property.

The property has parking for one car but we were not aware that sheep had access to the parking area and they fast became a nuisance after licking the grit off the road they proceeded to lick and rub themselves all over the car which was covered in slobber and sheep muck.

We had no idea what damage if any they were doing. Cars are an expensive piece of equipment and not something we would have parked with livestock. Tim and Andrea have no control on the sheep in the field but the parking area needs to be made secure from farm animals. We received no damage to the paint work on the car but the experience spoilt what would have been a 5* holiday in all departments.

It had fantastic views which we loved so much.

It had everything you needed and more. The only thing which I can say about was the sofa in the lounge was not very comfortable , especially when you’ve been on a long walk , you just want to get cosy.

Bishop Castle barn is in a stunning setting and equipped to a very high standard, we found it very comfortable and warm during the cold weather during our stay.

To access the property care needs to be taken as it is single track with poor road surface but once you get there it is worth it.

We have just enjoyed a very relaxing week at Bishops Castle Barn.

The Barn is accessed along a single track road then down a private, steep track but its location allows you to enjoy some stunning views in splendid isolation and all less than a mile Bishops Castle. The facilities are excellent from the high spec gadgets in the Barn to the sole use of the excellent large hot tub. The owners of the Barn make you feel very welcome and are on hand if you need them otherwise, your privacy is respected at all times. The setting really is beautiful with far reaching uninterrupted views on your doorstep and from a cleverly framed kitchen window. It almost makes washing the dishes a pleasure! (Although there is a dishwasher too). If you don't fancy driving, there are public footpaths nearby including one into Bishop's Castle itself where The Castle Hotel (and on a sunny day, its garden) and Three Tuns Pub are especially worth a visit. A little more outdoor space that wasn't shared with the sheep would have been nice but there is a lovely decking area by the hot tub and we very quickly felt relaxed and at home which is not something you can always say after a few days away! Lovely setting so peaceful and secluded but with all mod cons.

Great cottage and very welcoming owners. There is a dirt track down to the cottage but this was no problem. The views are to die for and we were very warm and comfortable. The hot tub is a great treat when you have been walking or driving all day.

The facilities and views of the surrounding area were brilliant. We only travelled 26 miles from Home to have this holiday, but it shows that you don't need to go far to enjoy yourselves! Shropshire really is a hidden gem. The Hot Tub was a luxurious bonus. Many Thanks to Tim and Andrea, who were there if we needed them.

We had a wonderful, relaxing mini-moon at Bishop's Castle Barn- the perfect antidote to a couple of hectic weeks.

The barn had everything that you could possibly need with plenty of thoughtful extra touches that made you feel like the owners really go the extra mile to ensure guests enjoy their stay. The location was perfect- very peaceful with stunning views across the countryside. No noise apart from the owls. Sitting in the hot tub and looking up at the sky was an incredible experience and we're so thankful to the lovely owners for allowing us to stay. They even gave us a card and some bubbly for our one-week wedding anniversary, which we loved. We'd definitely come back again :)

The venue is perfection.

Location is peaceful and relaxing. Layout is perfect, bedrooms downstairs, living area upstairs results in spectacular views enjoyed throughout. Decoration is modern yet still relaxing and comfortable. The bathrooms are state of the art, love the rain showers. The bedroom on ground floor has a lovely knigsized bed, so comfortable. We have slept so well here. Not used the bedroom on lower floor. Star gazing is wonderful, no light pollution. The hot tub has been a real treat. The venue is in the middle of beautiful countryside located via a rural road. Yet only a few minutes from Bishops Castle village. Walks are from the doorstep. We are using the venue to sight see in general and visit more National Trust houses. The surrounding countryside is outstanding whatever direction you travel. There are DVDs, books, games and a drawer full of local information. We are really enjoying our relaxing, recharging time here.

Very clean, amazing hot tub. This cottage has it all. Great walks in the long Mynd + Carding Mill valley Nice town to visit is Ludlow And last but not least, very friendly and helpful owners.

The Bishops Castle Barn is gorgeous, total luxury in an idyllic location!

The barn itself is kitted out with all the mod cons, the beds are amazingly comfortable and the views are breath taking. We all adored the hot tub after a days walking too. We can't wait to go back.
