  • "The property was tiny."

    We could not sit two people comfortably on the sofa. It was tricky to walk around the bed as the rooms are so small. The window frames were all chipped and moisture around. No furniture in the bedroom apart from a small hanging rail, left for laundry when you leave. Tiny tin bedside cabinets, no drawers. Full size cups missing from the cupboards as well as other basic kitchen items. Draining board wasn’t even big enough to fit a plate on. Notes stuck everywhere conveying rules e.g ‘don’t flush wipes down the toilet’, ‘empty the bin’ etc. cabin was next to the road, heard traffic throughout the stay. Hot tub is not private, you can see the two lodges really close next to you. Hot tub is completely open so you cannot use it if the weather is bad. Also if you stay in the lodge at the end you can see the road whilst in it. Felt like the entire stay was geared for us leaving because of the notes and rules. There was no privacy and this certainly is not a luxury lodge. We spent the entire time out as this was so cramped and depressing. Thank goodness we love Wales! This was clearly cheaply and quickly built, being only a few years old. We would have been better off paying less and staying in a caravan! I would not recommend this.

    My wife and I are extremely sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay. We would have really welcomed you sharing some of these views during your visit ,so we could have tried to improve your experience. We reached out on multiple occasions during your visit to check all was well. To address some of the issues raised. Firstly the size, furniture and location in terms of the road, We have ensured these can be seen in the photos and covered in the description before booking. We have received lots of positive feedback in relation to the quiet location, good size and high quality of the lodges and therefore were surprised and disappointed to hear that you didn’t share this view. The hedges, particularly at the moment, are very high and there is very minimal overlooking from the road while in the hot tub, as well wooden shuttering present at the closest point to the road. In terms of the road, it is a rural B road, on the top of a hill, which I would suggest is very quiet and is used predominantly only by locals living in the area. We also have other lodges available further away from the road if so desired. We have put significant thought and effort into making sure the kitchen is well equipped but had you shared any requests for additional items during your stay we would have done our very best to provide these for you. There are numerous types of cups and glasses present in the lodge along with a vast range of utensils, which we could have helped you find if you had requested help. The internal signs are not unique to our site and are standard in many holiday lets. It is a shame you felt these took away from your experience as they were designed to be discrete and unobtrusive . In terms of the quality, the materials are of a high standard from aluminium windows and Siberian larch cladding to furnishings from well recognised and respected companies. The sofa is a large two person sofa as advertised by the seller. We hope you enjoy your next stay in Wales. Property Owner

    Perfect weekend weekend away, Laura was very helpful with the information in regards to the lodge & we can’t wait to come back, if you’re planning on staying best only buying a small milk as the fridge doesn’t have anywhere for it to stand up in the door.

    Myself and my fiancé had not been to wales before and it was a great base to be able to explore the surroundings of wales. Being in the hot tub on an evening with no lights or noise for miles was truly extraordinary! Such a peaceful place to stay and I am sure we will be back in the future. A huge thank you to Laura for such a lovely break!

    Thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Would have been made slightly better with a cover over the tub to keep the rain away/bit of a wind shelter. Otherwise, a fantastic break.

  • "Spent 3 nights at Cae Bedw for my partner’s birthday and we had such a lovely stay."

    It was sparkling clean, homely and cosy. I’m not much of a ‘camping’ or ‘glamping’ type person but wanted to be close to the outdoors and this was perfect. We were quite lucky with the weather and the views were stunning. It had a lovely full size modern kitchen/diner/lounge with a large tv, big cosy bed in a separate bedroom and loved the sliding doors onto a private decking area, perfect for our dog to get some fresh air between walks! The hot tub was just the best, very clean and functional, it had been well maintained and the owners check it twice a day. Lovely sized bathroom with shower over the bath too. They even left us some Welsh cakes which was a kind gesture! Was impressed to learn the cabins were built by the husband and looked after by the wife who are full time working parents. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

    Surrounded by nature, the setting was peaceful and beautiful, with amazing views that took our breath away. The private hot tub was a highlight, perfect for relaxation. The lodge was well-maintained, cozy, and had all the modern amenities we needed. Our host, Laura, was incredibly nice, helpful, and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved it and will definitely come back!

The town of Llanfair Caereinion is built upon the site of an old Roman fort, in the valley of the River Banwy. It is a thriving town built around The Church of St Mary, with a Post Office, two supermarkets, a butcher with local meats and a selection of three different pubs. The annual Llanfair Caereinion Carnival is very popular with locals, and proceeds through the town with a full parade of floats and dancing troupes, providing a Rio carnival atmosphere. There is a river walk along the banks of the Banwy leading to an Arboretum, containing over 25 different species of British trees, an ideal place to explore before stepping back in time and jumping on the start of the narrow gauge heritage steam railway that runs 8.5 miles west to Welshpool. Welshpool nestles into the upper reaches of the picturesque Severn Valley near the border between Wales and England. This bustling market town is surrounded by rolling hills and glorious unspoilt countryside. There's a unique blend of shops offering arts & crafts, fashion & leisure, fresh produce, and quality pubs and restaurants, as well as the town centre’s restored cock fighting pit and interesting Heritage Trail.
