The property

This incredible former 17th century pub and Inn rests within the centre of Bishop’s Castle in south Shropshire, offering superb accommodation with all the facilities you’d expect from a former pub and coaching Inn.

The pub’s private gated car park has room for 15 cars along with an outdoor seating garden area.

There is ground-floor accommodation known as Curlytail accomodation in the car park area where there are four bedrooms all with ensuites and flexible bedding accommodation including three king-size and a family room with a twin, single and space for an extra z bed.

Further accommodation is on the first floor of the pub itself with six other bedrooms and two large family bathrooms.

Two of the bedrooms upstairs are interconnecting rooms which allows for flexible accommodation to meet your needs and one room has bunk beds for two.

This is an ideal celebration venue for large groups or families wanting to enjoy the full facilities of a traditional pub with all for the privacy of a private property!

Upon entering the property, you are very aware of stepping into a traditional pub with the full use of the commercial kitchen, traditional bar, lounge and usual pub facilities including bar tables and stools for that authentic pub feel.

For a sociable event you will have full use of the traditional bar with personal packages available from the owner to either supply a stocked bar with beers on tap or bring your own supplies!

The dining room can seat up to 30 people or just prop up the bar in the traditional lounge area soaking up the heat from the log fire.

Look forward to spending your time in the snug, cine room or hang out playing darts and pool in the games room!

There is a commercial catering kitchen for the designated chefs ready to serve all those hungry guests or how about asking the owner about outside catering facilities for that special celebration night.

During the warmer months, you and your loved ones can make the most of the outdoor garden area with hot tub with an outdoor Blue Tooth speaker, bench seating, large BBQ, perfect for that morning coffee after the night before in the pub!

If you don’t feel like cooking one morning the owners once again can offer a traditional full breakfast if required.

Bishops Castle is well known for its art and craft as well as festivals plus a further selection of pubs and restaurants to suit all, as well as a number of shops to pick up any essentials.

For days out, you can simply explore the town from the doorstep or head off on many different walks taking in the beautiful countryside, Castles and much more.

Brush up on the local history by visiting the National Trust owned points of interest, including Powys or Ludlow Castle, each offering outstanding days out, or venture to Mid Wales or the Welsh coast for a fun day out.

The hill walks around this area are stunning including trekking on Offa’s Dyke or heading to the Long Mynd hills of Church Stretton and beyond.

However, the highlight of this holiday is being within your very own pub and serving your guests with a lifetime of fun and memories
