We had a lovely stay at this property and would highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay on holiday.

It is in a prime location to visit lots of places locally and further afield. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. A really positive experience.

An excellent location in an area of outstanding beauty.

The garden was lovely and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The stairs could pose a problem for people with mobility problems and very young children.

Our third four week stay Jan/Feb.

Cannot fault any aspect of this lovely holiday cottage. This year the weather was so bad we reluctantly had to stay indoors for many days, however the cottage is so warm and comfortable we were very happy to stay in when needed. The Cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay.

As advertised however for those with mobility issues the stairs and bathroom may provide a challenge

Llwyn Celyn proved the perfect base for a week's walking holiday among the beautiful hills, wooded countryside and coastal areas of Southern Snowdonia.

A semi-detached cottage, it is very well-equipped - the neighbouring owners have anticipated just about everything visitors might need. Spotlessly clean on arrival, we found it very comfortable and easy to settle into. The cottage has its own pretty garden where we enjoyed morning coffee to the sounds of birdlife and a nearby mountain stream.

Spent a wonderful week at this property - perfectly described and a great base for the local area with so many beautiful walks on the doorstep.

Lots of maps and walk books at the house for visitors to use which we found so useful. Lovely outside space at the house - fantastic garden and patio area which was perfect for relaxing in. We were blessed with the most amazing weather, but even if the weather wasn’t great, the house location is great for exploring a lovely area of wales. The owners live next door but are completely unobtrusive unless you fancy a natter - wonderful hosts with lots of local knowledge if you want a bit of guidance. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience - we will definitely be returning as it’s the best house we’ve stayed in for our Welsh getaways so far! Was perfect for our son to visit the Mach Loop, and for us to enjoy some hiking off the beaten track!

The road was quite busy at times. Location was good for exploring this part of Wales.

Amazing cottage with a beautifully maintained garden and lovely hosts.

Little touches such as Welsh goodies on arrival were a lovely touch. Mike was also very helpful with recommending places to go and local walks. Nothing would be too much trouble if you needed anything. There is a shed in the garden that you can store bikes etc securely. The outlook is beautiful with a little stream and fields across the road. I do think it’s worth noting for families that there is no designated path outside the property and the road can be quite busy. It’s also worth noting that although the pub is 2 miles and shop 3 miles away, these cannot be reached by walking. A lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful area with stunning scenery.

Very comfortable and had all the kitchen appliances we needed and sky, which we used only on a night time, as we were out all day. A lovely part of wales, the scenery is spectacular. Mike and Luned have done a good job with this cottage.

PERFECT Had a great time walking around this stunning region of Wales, with a gorgeous bluebell wood right on the doorstep of the property and many easy to reach areas, so many amazing views, the property is great, has all you need for a happy holiday!

Very comfortable, super clean and well-equipped cottage.

Kitchen has everything you could need, WiFi is blazing fast, SkyTV provided including films, lots of books and maps to read, including many recommended walks etc. Great location for exploring the area (car recommended). Peaceful and relaxing, I had a great week. The owners live next door but and are really friendly but leave you alone to enjoy your holiday; thanks!

We had a great stay in this excellent cottage.

Clean, cosy and warm with great views, it was a good base to visit the coast and nearby attractions. We really felt comfortable here and hope to come back soon!

We spent four weeks (January 2024) in this outstanding cottage with wonderful host.

Clean, well laid out, has everything to maximize your enjoyment and enable you to relax into the location.

Nice walking routes accessed directly from the property, short, medium or long. Short drive for supplies. In all for us, it was the perfect base to enjoy our time away. 10/10 for the owners. Thanks you. DCS

We had a lovely stay with all that we needed.

Sadly it rained pretty much constantly but all the places we visited were dry. Lots of hidden places if you search around. The cottage itself was comfortable, it had everything we needed for the week. Lovely views across the road with sheep & horses opposite.

A delightful cottage in a great location fully-equipped and comfortable.

Roomy lounge and kitchen downstairs with two very good sized bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. (As pensioners we found the steps at the top of the stairs a little disconcerting but soon got used to them). It was lovely to have a garden with patio table and chairs. Great to have Sky TV. One small downside was the road immediately outside which was noisy at certain times. Very hospitable hosts who provided a delicious welcome pack.

Our second stay, the cottage is perfect in every way, beautifully clean, comfortable a lovely garden and patio area to sit and enjoy some food and a glass of what you fancy.

We will be back again.

Our 2nd visit & just as good as the first stay.

Absolutely no problems with the property & car parking. One light bulb needs replacing in the living room, which didn't bother us at all & the owners wouldn't be aware of. Would certainly book the cottage again, but not next year as we have well covered Wales over a good number of years. Off to the Highlands of Scotland next year, which we haven't visited for a few years, but we will holiday again in Wales preferably at this cottage as it is in an ideal location for touring by car.

It’s our third time of staying in this lovely cottage it’s so nice clean and in a great location to visit some beautiful places and great for walks.

Truly a great escape and with everything you could wish for. Beautifully tended garden and a sun terrace where you can actually watch the sun set is such a bonus. Lovely hosts who really care about quality. We will certainly be revisiting!

It made a very good base to enjoy the scenery and attractions, whether they were seaside, walking, historical sites etc. The cottage was as close to perfect as possible, warm, comfortable, spacious, in fact my wife even said, I could very easily move in and live here. The hosts catered for every single requirement you may have. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to book again.

I had a superb stay in this marvellous cottage.

Everything worked; heating, hot water, shower, Sky TV, wi-fi etc and it was very comfortable. Only spent three days this time but wished I could've stayed longer as so much to see and explore in the surrounding area! Also, very good communication from the host and the neighbour A++

Owners are very accommodating and the property is one of the best we have stayed at in the area.

Lovely walks directly at the back of the property with stunning views. A generously sized Bike Storage shed is a bonus.

Well equipped and quality furnishing. Highly recommended. The only negative is the proximity of the road running past the property and the inevitable road noise, which some people may find obtrusive.

Great for active families especially those that like walking and cycling/mountain biking with secure bike storage. Michael and Luned were really friendly and were able to help us with any queries about the local area, directions, tips on best routes etc. We were apprehensive about booking anything but we needn't have been- the cottage was spotless and all the Covid safe measures put in place meant we were reassured and able to relax and enjoy the break. This was our second time staying in the cottage, with all the problems we have right now everything was perfect in the cottage lovely and clean, and with a welcome gift waiting for us, cant fault the cottage and mike and luned the cottage owners are lovely caring people, always ready to help if you need it.

They take the recent problems very seriously and make sure their guest are safe and comfortable. The area around birthdir is ideal for walkers and visiting all of north wales attractions very easy, we will be going back to complete more walks, visiting our favourite places and looking forward to fish&chip suppers from the cosy chippy in Dolgellau. The cottage was perfectly located in easy drive to lots of places, also so many lovely walks in walking distance from cottage. The cottage its self was spotlessly clean and so beautifully decorated it had such a homely cottage feel. We had the best week here and would highly recommend to stop here. We had two children who loved it just as much and cant wait to return again.

We had always had static caravan holidays for over 30 years, Having decided to try a holiday cottage this year we were completely surprised by the quality of the property and furnishings, what a wonderful job the owners had done it really was a home from home everything you could need was provided, the area is wonderfully laid back and peaceful, if you want a break from every day life come here and chill out.

Cottage amenities were fantastic and the addition of a shed to store and lock our bikes was fantastic. The collection of leaflets and OS maps helped plan the week Will definitely be returning in the future

The owners Mike & Luned were a very friendly couple who helped us with good guidance as far as best places to visit and general guidance on quickest routes etc, supplying maps and guide books as required. No, the cottage was superb, excellent location for exploring southern Snowdonia, and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

What a superb holiday cottage this was!

It was ultra clean and tidy and had everything on hand that you could possibly want while on holiday including off-road parking. The cottage afforded high quality furnishings, bed linen, towels etc which was very pleasing and a real bonus. The hosts, Luned & Mike, who lived close by, were lovely, helpful but unintrusive. A couple of days before we travelled we were given simple instructions on how to obtain house keys. On arrival we found fresh flowers and a card waiting to greet us together with tea, coffee, sugar, milk in fridge and a delicious locally baked Bara Brith fruit cake! The location was ideal for touring the surrounding area, was set in quiet countryside with a stream running through the garden and continuing across to the meadow opposite. The cottage had its own private garden which was great to sit in at the end of a busy day. There was a petrol station and a supermarket within a couple of miles and so all was convenient. I would have no concerns about highly recommending this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet, countryside setting but with everything on hand for exploring. ....so many extra touches......we were greeted with flowers ...and yummy Bara brith ....Welsh cake."luned.and Mike went the extra mile .....we were happy to see them. ...and they were completely unobtrusive. .....luned came round and bought my son and easter Egg. ..as we stayed up to good Friday. ....it was so peaceful...and beautiful surroundings. ...of sheep and greenery. .....Dolgellau is 3 miles away.....we had the pleasure of sky TV and also that had the movie channels.....the WiFi was great for my son ....a teenager ...that is never off his I pad. .this is the 4th cottage we have stayed in with sakes the past 2 years. ..and this one is the best . location. Quiet location.

Comfortable and cosy for four people. Lovely welsh treats flowers and card on arrival. Comfy and clean bedding and towels. Kitchen well equipt. Not too far away from civilisation and pubs. Good bike storage and outdoor area when not raining! Thankyou

Apart from being very clean and comfortable, it was the little touches that stood out for me like the extensive range of maps we could borrow and books about the local area.

There was a Sky box with access to Sky Cinema which I thought was very thoughtful. We hardly saw the owners of the cottage who lived next door, but it was good to know they were there for any problems or queries we had.

This holiday cottage was perfect for us on this visit to North Wales.

Not only was it located ideally to take advantage of all the numerous places worthy of interest, it was extremely well accommodated and to a very high standard. It was a joy to stay there. It was exceptional value and we have no doubt in highly recommend it and saying it was amazing lace to return to on a busy day. We thank the owner for allowing us to stay there. If we were to visit Snowdonia in future, it would be our first choice as a place to stay in again.

Large roomed cottage spotlessly clean with new, high quality equipment, furniture and fittings. Superb location. Very friendly, thoughtful and helpful owners living next door, easy to talk to if you needed them. Nice garden with washing line and seating areas. Brand new games iand lots of books and maps about the locality and Snowdonia generally. Weather was fantastic too. We've spend many weeks in Wales over the decades and this was the first with wall-to-wall sunshine. Loved it all.

Very comfortable light cottage with fresh, modern, and tasteful furnishings and decor.

All possible needs are met with a range of kitchen ware, cosy sitting room, comfortable beds etc. The hosts kindly provided a variety of delicious Welsh treats and beautiful flowers to welcome us after a long drive. They have really gone the extra mile to ensure their guests are happy and comfortable and while we felt they were there if we needed any help, at the same time they were completely non-intrusive. This is a very conveniently-located cottage near many outstanding walks and of course provides the extra bonus of being within easy reach of Dolgellau for shopping. Very peaceful and quiet with soft pretty views. We have visited this area of Snowdonia possibly a dozen times but this was for sure one of the very best cottages we have stayed. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful cosy cottage close to many activities and places of interest.

Well maintained to a high standard and perfect for couples or families with older children. Loved our welcome gift of Welsh ‘treats’ on arrival too! We would have no hesitation in staying here again in the future.
